  1. This. But that's all I've seen of him, no idea what his club form has been like.
  2. My wife got home from work early. "Thanks for plumping up those pillows," she smiled. "They needed a bit of an airing." I carried on punching the pillowcase. "By the way," she continued, "where are the new kittens?"
  3. A bold move, Chalet. This could end badly.
  4. That's becoming a pattern.
  5. Exactly what I said when he grabbed that player by the throat. To me, that was a sacking right there, and I still can't understand why the fa let it go.
  6. Maybe they don't have many full timers, so can afford to offer more to freelancers.
  7. Very true. And back in those halcyon days a bloke could have a drink in his club without any danger of the ladies being admitted. Or the snug at the local boozer. AND you could smoke a snout in there without getting arrested, I don't know what the world has come to......sniff.. ..
  8. I've long believed that we shouldn't train up any youngsters who will actually need the money they're going to earn from football. Its a waste of time with the rest, they'll just leave anyway. (That bit of info is hopefully in the black box already.)
  9. If he's really going to screw 150k a week out of the mancs, I honestly don't blame him. He's done a hell of a job for us, and he's been here long enough for us not to begrudge him a big payday somewhere else.
  10. Ah, yes. You're right, it was in the echo.
  11. Wasn't there a categorical statement from the club saying we aren't and never were interested in signing charlie austin? Quite recently? Might be bargaining tools I suppose, personally I'd like to see him here.
  12. My take on that interview was that the transfer committee had to get a striker in asap, because of the exodus. Koeman said in that interview (if we're talking about the same one) that Shane Long was a good option partly because he was already match fit and ready to play from the moment of signing. I personally don't think that Big Ron arrived at SMS and briefed les reed to go out and get Shane long.
  13. I wouldn't quite say that. He was manager when Shane signed.

If goes to spurs, pochettinos training regime will have his hamstring f*cked before the season kicks off.
  15. If Koeman wants him here that's good enough for me.
  16. I found that Les Reed interview interesting, where he very much played down our chances of CL and said we would have to position ourselves to take advantage of one of the top 4 slipping up badly. I remember thinking at the time that it was deliberate downplaying, that's how it came across to me.
  17. I think k billy more or less said that clyne is staying and schneiderlin is going? He's about as itk as anyone gets on here.
  18. The waitress noticed me struggling to open the mini cornflake packet in the breakfast buffet. "Just slide your finger between the flaps", she suggested. That ended badly.
  19.
  20. Very laudable, fair play to him. (And that isn't my default sarcasm.)

You highlighted two specific parts of hypos comment, and whatever you think of what he said, it was unnecessary on a football thread. Keep the anti religion stuff for the lounge.

Whatever your views or beliefs, that's unnecessary. And hypo could have been referring to Vics charity support, or something not mentioned in his comment.
  24. What was the name of that bookie in north baddesley who got royally screwed on a big, long odds bet and simply packed his stuff and disappeared? He had a place in the precinct.
