  1. Also if you buy the limited edition of MOH you get an invite to the Battlefield 3 beta. It will be worth it just for that alone. However IGN review was pretty savage http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/112/1127285p2.html 6/10.
  2. I don't think they have had any input mate as they are locked in a bitter court battle with Activision. So i don't think they are free to work for other developers yet. Dice are the people who made the multiplayer aspect of the game, they didn't do the campaign though. The rumour going round is the multiplayer is the light version of Battlefield 3. So i would expect that to be pretty awesome. But Dice didn't do the campaign as they are working on this which i can't wait for.
  3. When you get in the game your see a thing in the menu called "accomplishments". If you highlight a sub menu i.e Physical,Mental etc and click it it will then go into another menu with loads of things to unlock. You can see what you need to do to unlock them. Some are easy i.e score with your weak foot. And some are just crazy hard. But the higher up ones require you to amount a certain amount of something like 150 tricks passed someone etc.. I think you can only see that menu if you have the full retail game.
  4. Yeah World Class is like the normal setting for Fifa games. The AI is designed to be easy on amateur and semi pro. Proffesional is a good level to work out the basics as the AI is not as in your face as World Class. But on World Class the AI is emense, they hurry and pressure you just as happens in real football. Clear cut chances are few and you know if you don't take one you could regret it. Saying Fifa is easy is just laughable. The learning curve is really steap and every yard of space you get you have to earn. With assists off it is just too difficult. I have huge respect for those who can play it on legendary with assists off and not get their ass handed to them by the computer.
  5. Interesting article here http://www.vg247.com/2010/10/05/fifa-11-sells-2-6-million-units-in-opening-weekend-ultimate-team-coming-next-month-for-free/ It sold 2.6m copies over the weekend that is just insane. But the cool thing about it is they say "Ultimate Team is coming next month and this time it will be free". I am still not sure what that is but is that the thing where people can sell players on ebay and stuff? Edit: Nevermind i found a tutorial http://www.gametrailers.com/video/ultimate-team-fifa-soccer/46352 which has Jon Champion and Andy Staunton doing the commentary, weird!
  6. http://www.next-gen.biz/features/pro-evolution-soccer-2011-review "Player movement doesn’t look or feel natural and - going back to that ball-through-chest miracle - the ball itself doesn’t feel like an independent object set loose in open space; rather, an animated sphere that's slave to scripted movement. It feels like a clockwork approximation of football, lacking the grace, variety and scope of FIFA" http://www.orange.co.uk/games/20092.htm " The ball has an odd floaty mechanic, passing feels rigid and player control unrealistic. Shooting is forgiving, allowing you to score visually impressive goals with minimal skill. Dribbling is easy too because the ball seems to stick to the player rather than be its own entity" http://www.incgamers.com/Reviews/1095/pro-evolution-soccer-2011-review "The main problem is still the robotic nature of the gameplay. Player movement remains clunky and lacking any fluidity, gameplay still revolves around consistently working your way into certain areas and the ball continues to feel as though it’s magnetically fused to your boot while dribbling. The outcome is that it never feels organic, never managing to capture the essence or unpredictability of the beautiful game." http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/842755-games-review-pro-evolution-soccer-2011-strikes-back "Despite the touted improvements to their artificial intelligence, defenders can still be seen to watch disinterestedly as a pass rolls towards an oncoming attacker. Goalies act equally oddly, deflecting strikes with superhuman regularity and yet hardly ever managing an actual catch. The most serious AI problem though is your own team's failure to show any kind of initiative in making their own runs, as they nervously hang around the half-way line until you instigate an attack yourself." http://www.videogamer.com/ps3/pes_2011/review.html "The biggest offender is the AI. Your team mates, who just refuse to make intelligent runs. It's incredibly frustrating to be in a great position, only for the rest of your team to linger on the half-way line, apparently blind to the clear opportunity. I thought this was due to my team tactics, but even after going into the menus and adopting as aggressive a strategy as possible, rarely did my strikers want to make a move into the box as my winger broke towards the byline" http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-10-01-pro-evolution-soccer-2011-review?page=2 "Animation blending also feels like it's a few generations behind the norm, with players firing shots and long passes out of their feet at a visually incongruous pace, or changing the trajectory of a ball with a header despite running the wrong way and facing an impossible direction. Sometimes they even head the ball when it clearly makes no contact with them in replays - of which the game is guilty of displaying too many, perhaps obsessed with its divisive motion-blur effect. There are also quirks galore. At one point a ball was cleared out to the touchline and a midfielder responded by bicycle-kicking it in the direction of the penalty area, where another player immediately bicycle-kicked it over the bar. Elsewhere, defenders often run the ball out of play when they should have no difficulty keeping it in" etc etc But of course they are like that in real life right? As for you long post about people not happy with Fifa. Obviously there will be a lot of people unhappy with the game....You guy's are soooo touchy. You go off on a lecture about how i am biased or whatever and your even worse! Talk about being a hypocrite!
  7. As the old saying goes "your only as good as your last game". And if sales/reviews are an indicator to what people think then i don't think they have anything to worry about. Fifa 11 is an improvement on Fifa 10. Just not the huge improvement we have been used to over the last couple of years. They haven't added any new mega features i.e 360 dribbling etc.. It is just a refined version of Fifa 10. But Fifa 10 was a good game. That is what makes your comments so interesting as what you say seems to indicate that it is soooo bad. The things you say are sort of what people are saying about PES. Like the models comment. In the IGN US review that is obviously biased they mention that the models in PES of the world famous players i.e Messi are top notch. But beyond that they are worse then Fifa's and Fifa has a **** load more players to re-create. I am not someone who knows anything about how to draw etc.. but if IGN US who pay Konami to be in PES say that then they are obviously not these amazing models that some would like you to believe? It is the same with the stats thing. If you look back through the thread your find the stats video. It has a guide showing you how different stats make players different in real time. It is quite in depth and you can see the difference between each stats very clearly. And this in my opinion is the main difference of Fifa 11. Players that i could zoom about with in Fifa 10 you can't do that now. In the reviews of PES they have been quite brutal about the difference between the players i.e there isn't any. They don't have a system like that in place. That is why i find your criticism of it in Fifa slightly harsh.
  8. "FIFA11: Biggest entertainment launch in Germany ever. 450k units in one week. 628% more copies than PES." Gaf : http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=409219 Didn't realise PES was released everywhere else but here. So they went head to head and released on the same day, think it is safe to say Konami won't be doing that again then. So UK and European sales for Fifa are pretty mental. I wonder if it will do well in US what with them being in the World Cup and stuff. It will obviously never be as popular as their home sports i.e Madden but football has made a lot of progress there recently.
  9. Anyone else noticed you can now get penalties/free kicks for pull backs/being bundled over if someone just barges you? I got a penalty after Lambert was clipped in the box. Was surprised as so used to fouls being given only for sliding tackles. Makes it a lot more realistic. Also Fifa 11 had the 3rd biggest opening in UK ever (behind Modern Warfare 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4) http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-10-04-fifa-11-scores-uk-number-one-article. They be some crazy numbers.

Cheers to those who are stepping down. I don't think people appreciate what a ***** of a job it can be sometimes. Especially when you think about the stuff our club seems to go through on a regular basis which divides opinions. Hard to stay neutral i am sure. So good job and goodluck!
  11. As i said i am only basing my opinion of PES on the demo and what the reviewers and people on pesgaming are saying. Personally i couldn't care less. I have fifa, it's a good game. Maybe not worth full price but i paid £24 for it. As you state it is your opinion that PES is better, that is fair enough your entitled to it. Just my point is you act like what i say is controversial, like i have to be pro fifa as i say positive things about it. Which is just retarded seeing as it has high score reviews. Right now it has 89% on metacritic http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/fifa-soccer-11 few sports games get scores that high unless it is a racing game. Pro Evo has right now an 81% score and hasen't even had the majority of it's reviews. Last year it had 78%. Surely the controversial view would be to go against the vast majority of opinion and say they are wrong? And by me going along with what they are saying must mean i have an agenda! When all the media outlets say Fifa is better, don't care, when i say it outcome the personal insults! It is just silly. They are just computer games...As i said in the PES thread i will still pick it up. But the collective opinion is that it isn't as much an improvement as some would like you to believe, the reviews reflect that. I don't see how by mentioning that is so wrong?
  12. But yet your in the minority as the reviews say your talking ****. How can they all be so wrong and you be right hey? And you have to compare it to PES as that is the competitor. Can only compare apples against apples etc.
  13. Gamespot review http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/fifasoccer11/review.html 9/10, well deserved imo.
  14. Well played a fair few games now both in career mode and online and love it. It feels more like fifa 10.5 then anything but thats not a bad thing as fifa 10 was a great game. The main thing i think you notice is individuals and more importantly their stats make a huge difference to a team. You play as Saints and get a fast striker into the team it gives you other way's to play. The physics of the game are emense. A small dude won't jostle a big dude off the ball, it is these little physical battles that make it more realistic. The ball feels like it can leave your foot at any momment if you are not concentrating. As the Edge review say's PES is scripted, the ball movement is predictable, once at your feet you won't lose it. In fifa 11 the pass % is a lot lower then before and long balls have to have the skill rating to go along with it if you want to pull off those great passes. And unlike in PES the AI is rock solid. Looking at you guy's gamertags it seems your struggling like me to score too! But that is what makes this years game great, it is harder but more realistic. Sometimes you get a bit of luck, other times you don't. The animations are so much better giving you multiple variants now. Like the default tackle has gone, now lot's of different versions, the same as jumping/heading etc. While there are lot's of things i like there are also a lot i dislike. The load times before a game seem longer, the commentary is ****, signing players is still difficult. The music isn't as good. The career mode interface is laggy etc etc.. most of those things are presentation issues. EA need to improve in that area. All in all though a great game and still light years ahead of PES. Deserves the high score reviews it has got for sure. But next year please for the love of god sort the presentation out!
  15. It is true Pullis is more expensive then Lambert! I think our researcher must of knew we would all sell him on Only played a couple games so far but you notice a lot differences from the demo. Being in division three feels a lot harder then playing as say Barca/Real as the error level is higher. Still not even scored a goal yet...
  16. Nah your a die hard fan, anyone can see that Rob. You get "twitchy" when anything negative is said about it which is a clear sign of it The thing is i probably sound like i am being too harsh on it and i probably am. I have not played PES11 yet, (other then the demo) i will give it a go. I might be surprised. But based on the reviews it is the same old same old. In a way the fifa reviews are exactly the same. It should of been like a dlc update rather then a full price title.
  17. Not at all. I have no agenda. I just find it so funny that people such as yourself are so die hard to a product that you can't even see when your being ripped off year after year. And when you are being ripped off your defend it to the hilt. That is dedication for you. Every year i actually hope Konami sort it out, i know you don't believe that but i really do. I read their little previews about how awesome it will be and how they listened to the fans this time around. But then it get's to release day and you get a half assed product with less features, few licenses and a **** load of broken promises. It is like deja vu day every time a PES game is released. I think any true football fan can admit that back in the day fifa was the better game, then ISS came out and was far superiour, when it changed to PES up until PES5 that was the best football games and the Fifa's around that period were just ****, worse then **** tbh. But now it is the other way around. I just don't see how any true football fan can think otherwise right now. Oneday PES will return to being the best football game. It's just not this year.
  18. As pointed out before mate IGN are partners of Konami. They are even in Pro Evo as sponsors in various places (i.e the advertising boards) IGN US have a loooong history of giving good reviews to Konami games especially the PES series. I think if i remember right off the top of my head they gave PES 2008 a 90% score or something around that mark when it got about 70% metascore and was savaged. With the football games with IGN the only ones you can really trust are IGN UK. They haven't reviewed PES yet but gave Fifa a 9.5. The US IGN gave Fifa an 8.3 score i think and PES 11 a 9.0. Which was to be expected as they pay Konami to be in the game so will hardly slag their partners off. As for the updates that is of course very true. But as mentioned above you can always do them yourself can't you in PES?
  19. If that is true then we need to complain to this guy http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/12073.page as he is the Saints researcher for EA.
  20. Reviews coming in http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-10-01-pro-evolution-soccer-2011-review http://www.next-gen.biz/features/pro-evolution-soccer-2011-review EDGE gave it a 6, brutal. Also reading the other reviews it is said that they haven't updated the rosters from the last transfer window. I am sure you guy's will praise Konami for that as you can update them yourselves now
  21. Got mine from Sainsburys in hedge end, will have a go when i get home. According to the check out girl they don't have many 360 copies left so better be quick! But there are like 300 other Sainsburys in the area so doubt your have a problem finding one. 89% of metacritic, sweet http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/fifa-soccer-11
  22. Amazon doing it for £29 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Electronic-Arts-FIFA-Xbox-360/dp/B003T9W2WS/ref=pd_ts_zgc_vg_h__676519011_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&pf_rd_p=202009607&pf_rd_s=right-6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=15826471&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0F16ACV16PB5S79VP1YZ Also yeah the Asda thing seems to have been false, it is also £29. If you look at the Hotdeals link i posted they got a lot of the various deals up. The best deal to me in my book is the Sainsburys one. If you spend £30 you can get it for £24. So do a bit of your weekly shop, or just buy some drink for the weekend and pick it up for £24. Am hoping Tescos will come out with something good though. Asda are doing a sort of trade in deal though, you can get if for 97p if you trade in either Halo Reach, Dead Rising 2 or F1 2010.
  23. Man those boos for Cortese were more deafening on the video then they were when i was actually there!
  24. I spotted this on the internet if anyone interested http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/vb1-fifa-11-price-comparison-live-u/767551?page=1 It is basically people tracking the deals on the game. So far Asda are the only confirmed £25 ish shop to be selling it but better check to make sure before you leave to get it. That site will be updated and i imagine tomorrow will be when we find out the deals.
  25. Personally i think £5 for what it now is is quite expensive. Basically a website with 4-5 wanabe alpha males who can't handle anyone else having a different opinion to them. Add into that you got your pet trolls who are buddies with the site runners = **** forum. Sure some of it might be down to the teams situation but if so how come it is only the same people who can't seem to revert from basically petty name calling and disrupting threads? How is it those people still did te same thing when we were doing well? So after this sub runs out i won't be paying either. A lot of the admins are good guys who try their best. But i think theyare restricted in what they can and can't do.
