Also in case people are interested the reviews have started to come in http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/fifa_11/review-2.html 9/10 OPM http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=265349 10/10 And IGN gave it 9.5/10 http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/112/1123531p2.html Coming from IGN that is a big deal considering Konami and IGN are partners and they normally support PES. But they don't stop there, they say "for the next twelve months at least this is likely to be the best football experience available, and FIFA’s looking like retaining its crown in convincing fashion" So getting good reviews then

Just a heads up. There is going to be a price war for this game again as obviously it is the biggest selling game in UK each year. So far Asda have said that from midnight thursday in store they will sell it for £26. So i imagine Tesco and Sainsburys will do the same thing.

Where as Pardew was anybody with an un-fit wife is not playing in my team I kid, plz don't sue me!

Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Saints - Post-match reaction thread
St Marco replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Wish i went now. (actually no i don't i hate Sheffied!) A deserved win and listening to the game it was nice to hear another team's crowd booing their players rather then us for a change! So good win and well deserved. Barnard sounded good so look forward to seeing on the football show tonight. My only concern is Lambert doesn't seem at the races and should he be left on when playing gash while players like Barnard are playing well and get subbed? Lambo is a quality player but you should always play players who are in form. -
I don't think they are releasing a demo. I really like it. It recreates the sport very well. The really cool thing about it is it makes you realise how just finishing say 10th is a massive achivement for the cars at the back of the grid.

It is just a negative board now. I rarely read the front page as each thread will turn into the same thing. The same posters disagreeing and then talking about stuff that happened in the victorian era and how we should of continued to do that. Some might call it petty point scoring i just call it petty. As for the people getting banned, who has been banned? The forum is infested by people who are obvious internet trolls and have no passion for Southampton FC at all. They just like to provoke a reaction in you. The sad thing is these numbers over the summer increased a lot. The decent interesting posters bailed. And the more these people are allowed to get away with what they are doing the more people will leave. And you can't say the threads are simply down to our current position as that is ********. They started at the end of last season. People used not going up as their reason for attacking people's views. Then used the releasing players thing, then the pre-season, then the lack of signing people and then our poor start. Add to that mix the whole Cortese thing and you got one giant load of negativity. Some of those wanted Pardew out but never said it in those words. Now a new guy is in are they being positive and behind the team? Nope, looking for more things to be negative about. Now there is nothing wrong with that, some are valid points. But when you talk about them day after day for months the forum becomes like a broken record. Some people me included still have some joy from watching Southampton and still have some pride in supporting them. If all you read is the same negative people mixed in with the trolls creating as much negativity as possible then it is draining but more importantly boring. That stuff would never have been allowed to happen on the old forums. The sad fact is a few of the trolls on here are friends of the website runners, nothing will happen to them, just be given a new name.

Well i got it for £34 at Tesco in Bursledon this morning on PS3. Have played it for awhile. It reminds me a lot of the old F1 games on PS2 which were awesome. Racing feels fun and they have the whole "make one mistake and your be punished for it" thing which is realistic. Not like Gran Turismo where you can spin off but get back first before the next corner. Playing on medium in Lotus with no assists and got 8th on grid in qualifying. Was really chuffed. But then the bad stuff happened. Was in the race and was being perfect all around the course (Bahrain) got up to 3rd and then was called into the pits......After my pit stop i went from 3rd to 22nd....The pit crew took forever to let me go because of the cars coming into the pit lane. After looking at the replay if you look you can see if any car comes into the lane or leaves you won't be set free. Which is a critical flaw with the game. It means the computer can undo all your hard work in an instance. Which makes the game broken in my opinion. Let's hope they can patch this quick because if the pit stuff works it would be amazing game. The only other annoying thing is the unlikely spins that you can have.

FM2011 - New Videos and Social Network features
St Marco replied to Matthew Le God's topic in Computer Games
Looks really struggling RAM wise and the crowds seem very static. Will they be giving them an animation? I know in the last one they just went up and down but having a stadium where there is no reaction after a goal looks really weird! -
I am on Orange Dolphin i think. Unlimited internet 400m calls and i think 1000 texts or something like that for £25 a month. You also get a magic number meaning you can talk to someone who is also on Orange for as long as you like for free. You can add a new number every 6 months. And you also get others perks like get 2 cinema tickets for the price of 1 on weds at any cinema. I live in the middle of nowhere and my reception is pretty good. I imagine there might be a pylon around there though? Using the internet on wifi is super fast. You have the option of turning mobile internet off and having the real internet. Meaning if you browse sites you see them as you do on your computer. It is really fast and loads stuff pretty quick. Touch screen is amazing. I love my Desire and i upgraded from an Iphone about 5 months ago when they first came out. However there is one problem......My phone is being repaired. The early Desires which mine was could develop a fault where if you used it the phone would turn itself on, then off again. And get stuck in this loop where it would keep doing that. Only way to stop it was to pull the battery out and wait for it to cool down a bit. Since then HTC changed the motherboards on them so the ones you now get can't have those problems. They are now free from overheating. So mine is away getting it's motherboard changed. But when it works it is a quality phone. TechRadar do extensive tests on every phone and they still have it as the best phone on the planet http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/20-best-mobile-phones-in-the-world-today-645440?artc_pg=21

Basically the guy has to proove they are his and he has the license to them before you put them up on your site. A screen grab of his computer with the time and date would not hold up in court due to the fact you can change those to anything you want at anytime. He could of done it after you asked for proof. Normally to get proper copyright you have to have some outside confirmation of the date. An easy way some people do this is get your piece of work whatever it maybe. Put it in an envelope. Go to post office and pay recorded delivery and send to your own address. once the post arrives don't open it. This way you have the sealed dated stamp on the envelope, the signed date/time of when the envelope was received at the address and the post office slip with the tracking code of the item with it's date etc.. Of course the most common way to do this is actually through proper copyright channels via regestering it at copyrightservice uk. However doing this is expensive. Something like £70 for 10 years. So really your safe unless the guy can provide clear evidence that he has the official copyright for the picture. This means having it registered and verified. It is all well and good him claiming to own the rights. But if he can't proove it there is no case. A screen grab of a computer date and time is not evidence.

1 year in and we won a cup. Can't remember how many years Lowe was here but he came in while we were in the PL. he didn't get us there. Markus,Cortese etc.. have a totally different challenge. One that is not easy. Look at teams like Leeds/Forrest etc.. it took them ages to get out of this league. As for being for sale. A club with a 36k stadium, uefa 4 grade if i remember right? An area with a shead load of potential fans Rich history having been around 125 years No debt etc etc This time around if that was true we would have no trouble finding a buyer at all.

Really cool video showing how to do some of the tricks http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/31518 Love the roll and cut back trick that Iniesta does. Anyone know how to do the Italian dive?

It is a composure bar not a power bar. The point of it is to try and simulate pressure mixed with penalty skills. In Fifa 10 you could not miss a penalty really. This time around if your a good penalty taker the little green bit will be bigger. However if it is say the 90th minute in a cup final then the pressure becomes bigger and the composure bar becomes smaller. I personally don't like it but i can understand why they have done it. As for it is easy to score in Fifa 10....Maybe should play it on world class setting like the rest of us?

Not controversial mate, it is your opinion There are a lot of things i dislike about Fifa this year, the difficulty is one. They really have made the AI too good. On the world class setting you get bugger all time on the ball to do anything. Which is realistic as it is a pressure game. But in terms of gameplay that can be annoying. It is really hard to do through balls this time around. Again very realistic but just makes it more difficult. The same with penalties, i hate Fifa penalties. But i get it is a composure bar, you could never miss in the old ones. Sprint is now very different in that not everyone can run like the worlds fastest man. After playing the demo then going back to look at the PES demo again you notice massive differences in some areas. Such as moving/passing/shooting/heading etc on PES feel very slow and static, not very fluid, a delay between your decision to press the ball and it moving to another player. The AI in PES is too easy. Every game is a high scoring game. But that is what PES is about and why it is the arcade game and Fifa is the simulation game.

But there are a fair few people on here who are actually decent people, know about the club, know about the general feel of the fans. Just using one person off the top of my head i.e Duncan. I would much rather someone like him spoke to the media on my behalf then someone who already does i.e NI. Simply because Duncan presents himself as someone who actually knows what he is talking about. Someone who bothers to take time to read places such as this to gain an idea on how things are. All clubs have a spokesman. Would you rather have someone who will do a good job speaking to them or someone like NI?
-
457 vs 18 thus far. While they are only numbers the meaning behind them is important. It means Nick Illingsworth and the others can no longer talk to the media as the self proclaimed voice of the fans. These numbers are embarassing for The Trust and Sisa. It shows the fans want nothing to do with them let alone have them speak on their behalf. As others have mentioned they are more like a little fan club with a few friends then anything serious or note-worthy. This forum is in a far better position to speak to the fans then any of those tiny groups are. This website can generate a far better indicator of fan feeling to certain events. We should deffinatly set up something here or nominate someone to speak on our behalf. This vote shows people want Sisa and The Trust to **** off basically.

IGN review http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/112/1120745p1.html Also not sure if people are interested but i noticed this deal http://www.shopto.net/PS3/VIDEO%20GAMES/PS3FO04-F1%202010%20with%20Logitech%20Wireless%20Driving%20Force%20Wheel%20Game%20and%20Wheel%20Bundle.html F1 2010 + Logitech PS3 wireless steering wheel for £49.86. Thought that was a pretty good deal.

Just like ya mama I'm just kidding of course At the end of the day Rob if you read my comments i actually said PES has made more improvements this year then Fifa. The gap has become a lot closer. PES 2011 is a decent game. It is miles better then 2010. Fifa 11 is a good game, also better then 2010. But there were no big leaps for it, just refinements. It is pretty much in terms of gameplay fifa 2010.5. The big changes for Fifa this year are it's career mode. Which it badly needed. You may agree or disagree with what i said but by the looks of it the general census is most people agree. Fifa 10 was a great game. Fifa 11 is a refined version of the last one. It will stand or fall on it's new career mode. If it is gash then PES will have made a huge gain on it.

Or we could just play each other at both Fifa and PES in like a best of 3 series. Loser has to stop posting in a games forum and get a life?
-
Don't need to i got your wife for that

Played the demo for an hour or so and the game is awesome. They haven't changed too giant things which is a good thing as they needed to refine last years game not overhaul it. There are so many sublte improvements that just make it feel better then fifa 10. There are hundreds of new animations added to the old ones and this makes it look a lot more realistic, less repetative. Pro Passing is nice as if your a defender and your going to try and long ball it up to your forward, forget about it. They have slowed the pace down a little but you can turn it back up in menu. The AI and keepers again have been given a massive boost. No more of that annoying lob from the last one but more importantly the cpu keeper on your side is not so much a idiot anymore. He get's into the right positions and can do a better job of being a sweeper when required. The graphics side of the game has improved too. The cosmetic look of the game/stadiums/people all look better. Presentation was an area fifa has struggled with before in my opinion. But this time around they have done better. There are still some things which they have not touched from last year like some of the comentary and some of the annoying animations i.e players arguing, ref doing his 300 yard sprint to book someone etc.. The main criticism i have of the game is those. Also don't turn on hand balls, it is a pain in the ass. Hope they fix that before release as it is like the old 2008 game when people will score from free-kicks nearly every time. This time around if you kick the ball into the wall ou stand a good chance of getting a penalty. It is turned off by default though. So all in all not a huge improvement over last years game. They have just tweaked things and added more animations. The players personalities do seem more evident and if anything this actually makes it harder to pass the ball from one end to the other. But i think we will get used to it. Today marks the release of PES demo for all too so it has been billed as PES vs Fifa day in games media. And by the looks of it Fifa has won once again for the 5th year in a row. The first two FIFA reviews were set for release tomorrow but they got leaked. Gamesmaster and ComputerVideoGames both gave it 9.5/10. With GM saying it is not only the best football game ever made but one of if not thee best sports game ever made.

Got mine earlier, was a massive queue to get it. Haven't been able to play long but so far is awesome. Like the fact we can now customize what we looklike with various types of armor/add-ons etc.. Also i just saw Gamespot gave it a 9.5/10
