  1. I don't understand what you are saying?
  2. I'm not entirely sure what that's meant to mean?
  3. The more people that get mentioned in this group, the more you can tell it isn't about being tedious. Rather it is about having said something that Turkish or dune have disagreed with (and probably said something that is way too clever for either of them to understand or come up with a cogent retort to) and it's really rankled them to the point of remembrance on this thread. As such, it is becoming quite an aspirational list, rather than the attack it was intended to be.
  4. Oh God! It's a bloody disaster! We are bound to implode under the weight of the fixture backlog! This is sh*t! We are totally f*cked! Wait... what if Huddersfield don't win today or get a point on Tuesday?
  5. It's PC gone mad gone mad, if you ask me. Anyone else notice how the highly lucrative Boxing Day sales went ahead today and nobody called them off for health and safety reasons? Coincidence? Also, did anyone notice that there was no football scheduled for Friday (Islamic holy day), yet there was some scheduled for today, on the Christian Sabbath?
  6. Classic case of projection.
  7. I'm looking forward to the game today. It should be good because Sunderland have not won at Old Trafford since a 2-1 win in May 1968. Their last league win was by the same scoreline in March 1997, although they did beat them in the League Cup in 2000 (2-1 after extra time). Also, two of the last three meetings between these teams have ended in a draw, including the 0-0 result at the Stadium of Light in October. Another suggestion that it will be interesting is that Sunderland have been hit by late goals on their two most recent visits to Old Trafford. Last season, Anton Ferdinand's 94th-minute own goal earned United a 2-2 draw while in December 2008, Nemanja Vidic also struck in injury time to give the Red Devils a 1-0 win. United are looking for a fourth consecutive Premier League win. They are still unbeaten this season and Ji-Sung Park has scored four goals in United's last four league matches at Old Trafford. Also, this is the sixth time United have been top at Christmas in the Premier League era - on three of the previous five occasions they went on to win the title, including on the last occasion in 2006/07.
  8. Ludwig and SuperMikey are clever young men who intimidate some of the reactionary old fellas on here, who are also jealous of their youth. thedelldays does a good line in agent provocateur on every thread. Verbal seems decent enough. And alpine is a miserable ex-pat, whose punishment for all his negativity is the sadness that lives inside his head.
  9. Golly gosh. If we ever decide to have a most tedious poster competition, I think you'd be well qualified to judge it. This is impressive stuff.
  10. Gosh.
  11. Well, I don't think that any of those mentioned are tedious. I've never argued with them on the internet, though.
  12. That one doesn't seem as funny.
  13. That is also now my favourite YouTube video. That is brilliant! I genuinely mean that. Thanks, dune.
  14. Do you include the Isle of Wight in this 'Empire' that you speak of?
  15. I agree, mate. It's so depressing. I hate Boxing Day for this. In fact, I hate Christmas for this. I'd quite happily go without Christmas ever year so we can avoid boring sit-down types. Bloody boring sit-down types. Well, I won't be going for this reason. I can't stand boring sit-down types. Call themselves fans?
  16. They are all my alternative log-ins anyway.
  17. I'd like to be in France with you and your family. We could play board games and pull Christmas crackers. And I could make saucy innuendos to any females about me liking a bit of breast or asking them if they'd like stuffing. We'd all laugh heartily.
  18. What about the other awards? Most tree-hugging lefty? Most Nazi-loving right-winger? Most pedantic poster? Worst punctuation and grammar in a single post? Most amount of "..." used instead of normal punctuation? (Nominate: ottery saint mary) Most sexist in over-compensation for lack of sexual experience? (Nominate: Master Bates) Most precocious youth? Most bitter scared old reactionary knee-jerker? Best strawberry blonde poster? Most patriotic ex-pat? (stiff competition for that one) Best poster from the USA? (Nominate: Tijuana Tim. I bet you all didn't know he was from America, did you?) Poster that you can't question because they've written books about/played for Saints which means you should respect everything they say, no matter how much b*llocks they talk? (can't think of any to nominate for that one) Poster you'd most like to bum?
  19. Indeed.
  20. This forum is my life.
  21. I will actually be working, Thedelldays. We're like brothers, you and me.
  22. What is the sub of the day tomorrow?
  23. I read that the kids that go into school with nits and impetigo are actually Al Qaeda members, designed to spread the bacteria and attack the country in its most vulnerable area: grumpy, middle-class parents.
