  1. Very inexperienced bench.
  2. Anything by Brewdog, or any of those hoppy, tinned IPA beers you find in the shops these days. Happen to have some Speckled Hen in for tonight though. The first mouthful is a bit strong and sweet, after that it's very pleasant.
  3. Thanks for the info. Didn't want anyone to think they had to pay £9.99 to Now TV for the Sky coverage.
  4. Game is on Amazon Prime if you are a subscriber.
  5. Wonder if we're faring better because of our overall fitness. Would be great to have the same starting line-up if they can manage it. Don't think we've been using anywhere near the amount of subs we're allowed. Perhaps tomorrow it might be wise to put on some fresh legs during the second half...don't want to break anybody.

    BLM & Football

Does football need to be political though? I watch football to get away from politics and, well, life in general. It's escapism for some people. It used to be the FA used to fine people for showing slogans or attempting to make political statements. Remember Fowler and the dockers supporting t-shirt that he got fined for?
  7. Buendia on the right may improve us. I imagine Cantwell's agent has expectations higher than that of Saints.
  8. Should be compulsory if anything. For everyone, even the grannies.
  9. Well, they're in the league that probably suits their level. A season ending in a good effort in the playoffs. They should be satisfied with that.
  10. We played well at home tonight because City play like an away team.
  11. Walker-Peters. From a competent but shaky debut, his performance today was up their amongst the best on the field.
  12. Elated. What a result. And Adams scores. Confidence must be building...
  13. Ings is closing down faster and he's been on the pitch for 85 minutes.
  14. Long seems to have no energy...
  15. Prowse bottled it for once. Got a chance to shoot, take it.
  16. Well that's the first half won. I'd take a draw for the second.
  17. Interesting. Sterling the only English man in the City starting 11?
  18. Expect us to have a good game but if we're in contention with 15 minutes to go, they have the sort of bench to bring on a couple of world beaters that our tired legs won't be able to handle.
  19. We have more to play for than they do...namely league position. City are only playing for pride now. I think they turned on the gas against Liverpool to prove a point. Hoping they will be a bit more relaxed against little old Saints.
  20. Oh and the land ownership comparisons withe the past were interesting. Also the charity stats. I have always been wary of charities after I worked for one once.
  21. I watched it. Broadly I agree with a lot of it, although some of the comparisons to the Middle Ages were a bit iffy and there aren't any deaths by fire or torture to have to worry about in the UK these days. You will definitely be shamed for not following the latest righteous bandwagon though, as has been discussed on here when all the footballers started kneeling. Imagine the scandal if one had declined to, for whatever reason. The Tim Hunt example was a good one. How he was treated was terrible. If was just about twitter, fine, you can turn it off. But for the University to get involved was wrong and Dimbleby was right to resign his fellowship in protest. Good on him.
  22. I might wander past. If it looks like an oppressive corona-focused cell with tape and signs everywhere I probably won't bother. I certainly won't stand in a queue to get in. I do miss the beer though. I have been treating myself to Brewdog ales at home in the meantime.
  23. Watford, Villa, Norwich most likely to be relegated for me. But I'd prefer West Ham took either one of those places.
  24. Get the feeling he's happy here. The move has worked well for him. Local lad. Chance to get on the SWF banner. He'll stay if you ask me.
  25. Yeah, time to give Che another run in the team in place of Long imo, now we're safe.
