Difference between Colwill and the other youngsters we have signed is that he played in the championship last season for Huddersfield and was one of their better players. Whether that makes him good enough for the premier league - only time will tell.......

There's only 2 and a half weeks left before the start of the season, we definitely need at least 1 striker in by then. I know the window doesn't shut until 01 Sept but it will be alot harder to attract someone if we are already languishing near the bottom by that time. In terms of other team, I don't think their need is as great as ours - of those you have mentioned Brentford have toney/mbeua and Broghton have Maupay.

Those who are clamouring for Liam Delap to sign - he couldn't even get off the bench for England u19's tonight. Premiership ready - very unlikely.

Easy way for this to be confirmed would be for the club to confirm what the set up will be next season. I assume if selles was the only one coming in they would have informed us when making the announcement of his arrival. Ie - our coaching set up for next season is complete..... Perhaps they could confirm the McCarthy & Stephens contracts at the same time. Comms is woeful.

Very w8se to write off lyanco. He is simply not good enough to play week in week out for any prem club. There is a reason he couldn't get a regular game at Torino. A big heart only gets you so far....

This seems like the most pointless signing we've ever made. Signing a player from a crap and then likely to loan him out to an equally crap team. If he ain't good enough now he never will be - he's not exactly young at 25..... and on a 5 year deal, wtf.........

Like they did with Stephens and McCarthy - it's just a shambles. Who else extends contracts of 2 players and is too embarrassed (or to incompetent) to announce it?

Youth purchases are a very risky business. Some will pay off, some won't - these types of signings should be used to supplement a wider transfer strategy as opposed to relying on it. Trust me, It will catch up with us at some point. And by the way, Broja is not our player.........

He's terrible, nowhere near good enough. Right decision to sell.
