  1. Nope, not even if we finish in the position we are in now. Anyway, if we had gone down we would not be in Leicesters position. We wouldn't have had the finances to buy together a decent squad and keep player like Surman, Lallana, John, etc.
  2. Didn't Vignal take them last year?
  3. Firing Jol was a smart decision....
  4. You can't post the same thing on several forums! You have to choose!
  5. Why would we definately be destroyed? We've gotten a results against Brum* so why not against Sheff Utd? Our results are totally unpredicatble and we are really a team that can win against anyone and lose against anyone. *I'm aware this was in the LC but we were't exactely murdered in the league match either.
  6. If that is a joke its sick, if its true R.I.P
  7. We'll get a point.
  8. 1. If Crouch had enough backing form shareholders he's welcome otherwise what's the point. 2. I'm not blind, the reason we're doing badly is because of material. Even though I have some question regarding not selecting Perry for the QPR and Watford match I still think JP is doing a decent job with the resources available. Now defensively we were crap yesterday but we did create plenty of chances, we just didn't put them away and that is not on a managers head but on the players. 3. Who says they won't improve under JP? In my opinion keeping him is way less od a gamble then appointing MTL and Benali. And don't get me wrong, I would have liked Pearson to stay and I am critical of some of Lowe's decisions but that doesn't mean we should go ahead and make some more rash and risky decisions. It is not blatant it is not going to work with Wilde, Lowe and JP. if anything they are in the same position as we finished last year (which will be fine with me, although I would like our safety to be guaranteed a bit earlier).
  9. So people have the right to complain but they haven't got the right to be positive?
  10. That's what we need, another change and another huge gamble just to get an extra few thousand in the stadium. I have to say, i do not agree with any of your points. 1. Yes they've failed but what is the alternative? Get out is not a solution, you have to see who will come in instead first. Not every change is one for the good (as we learned when Wilde came in for Lowe the first time). 2. Can you please enlighten me what these reasons are that we all know for some reason? I still believe that JP is doing a good job. Besides that, why should Wotte leave on the basis of first team results? He's in charge of the reserves. 3. Those extra few thousand will come for one or two home matches and when results don't improve they will be stay-away fans again.
  11. I'd say we were lucky in the matches against Norwich and Doncaster with both of those teams forgetting to put away their chances before we did. In some of the matches we'll be on the rightside of luck in some on the bad side. Yesterday we were on the bad side and our defense was asleep.
  12. Not playing as a striker atm now is he?
  13. I'm referring to Watford here. The commentators on SaintsTV said that Davis made his first save somewhere in the second half. So apparently they didn't have any shots besides the three goals?

  15. BWP hasn't convinced in any of the matches he played in and he did get his chances. John has had his opportunities as well and hasn't exactely outperformed the other strikers available. Euell has been injured. As for Skacel, I don't know what the hell is going on with him.
  16. What I meant with the not having a shot on goal was besides the goals, SaintsTV were claiming that Davis made his first save about 15 mins after the break. And although missing two penalties might be unprofessional in a sense it is also unlucky, both of them know how to score them and I don't know if they were bad hits or if the goallie guessed right but there is definately some luck involved. And about SaintsTV having the red&white tinted specs, I know this but normally they are pretty honest about the performance. Anyway, it seems I might be way off but I believe you were on the matchthread as well so you'd know about as much about what happend on the pitch as me. One thing that did strike me from the commentary was that we crossed the ball in dangerous positions time and time again but then there was no-one to put it in the net (or there was someone there that then produced a weak shot), you can also tell this by the amount of crosses we had compared to the amount of shots.
  17. But if he had been here we would have to pay him anyway so he would play IMO. Unless ofcourse the appearance fee was a big chunk of the salary (if you believe the Skacel rumours).
  18. I was listning to SaintsTV, normally their are pretty honest. And the matchstats seem to suggest we were at least equal to Watford. Anyway, like I keep saying, I'm going on match commentary and from that it seemed that Lee made several good stops. Anyway, like you said even with the 2 pens in it would have finished 2-3 but if Lee had been send off it would have been different. Btw, the SaintsTV commentators seemed to suggest that there was defender on the line and that's why Lee didn't get red. But if it had been the other way around (One defender and goallie on the line) would the player have been send off?
  19. Indeed Nick, besides that Skacel has been having injury problems (this week there was a mention in some article he was back in training again, rather misterious what was wrong in the first place) and John has been getting games every now and then.
  20. If Davies had been here I'm sure he would have been played, its not like JP is refusing to play anyone over 25 (Wotton, Davis and Perry are all getting regular games and Svensson would as well if he would have been fit). The sale of Davies looks rather stupid now, but who's to say if we weren't forced to bring in another 1.5 million in player sales. I wish we still had him, he's exactely the type of player we need. A good loan replacement would be Baird in my opinion, he's the kind of leader we could use at the moment.
  21. Unless someone from within Saints (or former) goes on the record and says that he actually does that I'm not believing it for one second. He might discuss his thoughts on the game with the manager but I don't see a problem with that.
  22. 2 missed pens, their goalkeeper not being send off and then making several top class saves (besides the two pens) to deny us a goal. I'm only listning to the radio commentary but apart from the crap defending for the goals they didn't have a shot on goal in the first 60 mins and we totally dominated them. The match just didn't go our way. If the commentary on SaintsTV had been less positive I'd be more upset by the result as well but in the end results don't say everything.
  23. Are you saying there's a crouchie in all of us? :smt078
  24. Somehow we manage to score every now and then and we also keep clean sheets every now and then. Today we were defensively ****e and the finishing was ****e but we created loads of chances. Next match the will go in and Davis will pull of the saves Lee made today.
  25. Well, maybe nothing to be worried about was a bit OTT. But like I said, this was to be expected and I think we're doing okish by all accounts. Above the relegation zone and that is all I hoped for / expected this season.
