He was an integral part of the NEC side that got European football out of the blue last season but left at the end of the season for Turkey. He was signed by the TD and because of a little power struggle at the club the trainer did not want to play him (or maybe he wasn't good enough, I don't know). Anyway, he then asked if they could terminate his contract (which I think is a good sign) and he's available for free now. Again, I don't know the whole story about Turkey but I do know the story in Holland. A talented rightback that NEC would have liked to keep. Much better then the last RB we signed from Holland, that I can guarantee you.

MB, go out and find some better pictures of her!

Muslu Nalbantoglu's contract with Kayserispor has been cancelled so he's now a free agent. If we need a proper RB then here's one we can get for free and he's probably not that expensive.

They've caught two young men in the US that were planning to assassinate Obama. The first of many plots? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7694254.stm Good to see he's got a huge lead in the polls though. With McCain having to stay in "republican" states in his campaign it looks very very promising. Btw, what is the biggest win in a presidential race after WWII?

You can come over to Sweden to watch him.

I'm just putting on a brave face. Don't tell anyone.

I thought they are already DAJFU?

Ah cheers, at least the message is gone now. Would you have any idea why it doesn't recognise the AV or firewall? It used to until recently.

Could be, I didn't hear it though. That's an original Saint Martini quote.

This is something I haven't understood either. There are pleyers in the Dutch league like for instance Bodde, Loovens and Hasselbaink that are dirt cheap and more then willing to come to the UK. What you have to do well when scouting Dutch players is look for the ones that could adapt to UK football. Players that do well in the Dutch league don't necessarily do well in the UK but it also means that players that do not do well in the Netherlands (like for instance Loovens or Hasselbaink) end up plaing Champions League. This is one of the reasons its a shame we didn't sign Knol last year. He is typically one of those players that would do better here then in the Netherlands.

Ofcourse you do....

European ID cards are also good but I'm not sure they use those in the UK. Not sure about a driverlicense TBH.
-
Not sure how he could do that if he doesn't play against us (unless the other team battling against relegation is Bristol).

Lets leave Skacel at the back, another clean sheet would be nice. Maybe Thomson or White could get another chance?

To be fair QPR are rich and we are not.

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3787433.Lallana_injury_a_blow_to_Saints/ Oh fook! Who's going to play in the hole now?

I couldn't find that episode but this one is rather funny.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/swansea_city/7687158.stm Lets put the pressure on then! In all probability he'll be the MOTM...

At the risk of sounding more pedantic that is actually not true. He didn't score in the qualifiers, he did score one cup goal (a late equaliser against Brønshøj).

LOL Funny how they changed it in Holland from not having relegation from div2 to having the possibilty of relegation and (some within) the PL want to do the opposite (both claiming its for the good of the game).
-
I dunno, he fooked up for the first goal of course but when he fumbled at the corner the ball was just slapped out of his hand. Besides that he made several top quality saves, he just does it in a unorthodox style.

The difference between the big leagues and the smaller ones would have been way less then it is now. Teams like Arsenal, Manu, Chelsea and Liverpool almost know they will have CL money to spend and budget for it. If only one of them would get that every year and every year the same would happen for teams from smaller countries there would be a more equal spread of the CL money over different leagues. Besides that players wouldn't leave their home leagues as quickly, nowadays players leave the smaller league becuase they want to play at the highest level (CL) and they're pretty much guaranteed that if they sign for a big team in either Spain, Italy or England. If only one team would make it to the CL they wouldn't move as quickly. It doesn't matter now anymore but I used to like the tournament a lot more when there was different teams in it every year and it was impossible to predict who would make it to the knockout stage. Now you can just fill in the English team together with some Spanish and Italian ones and maybe Bayern Munchen, Bremen, Lyon and a surprise team. Rather boring. Check the '95 CL tournament, IFK Gothenburg made it to the quarters where it lost on away goals to Bayern I think. In the group stage they finished above Barcelona and Manu. Such a shame that that is impossible now.

They would if it was a Champions League for national champions. The UEFA truely killed that tournament in the '90s. A real shame IMHO, makes the Champions League less special.
