People are quick to write him off here but he did have a good end to the season and his pre-season wasn't all that bad either. Maybe he could be off some use after all? Even his best(?) position is already covered by Gashmi and Lallana.

Indeed, that would be Svensson, Surman, Gillett and DMG. Besides that I'm not sure how involved Surman, Gillett and DMG were with the first team back then. So pretty much, it has to be Svensson.

That would be crap. Why the hell spend 1.5 million on someone like Schneiderlin if you value Lallana at 2.5? Anyway, I don't think I believe that rumour. Especially since Rupes managed a lot more for previous talents.

He ****ed all over JP? 2 points more (after 10 games) then JP with a team that had a lot more experience and with the loans he brought in also a lot of quality. JP has to work on a shoestring and is doing a decent job. To compare the team he has to last seasons team (however demotivated they were) or against a Leicester team backed by a sugardaddy is ridiculous. There is not really any proof either way but to say Pearson ****es over JP is just plain silly.

If a defender looks slow it is more often the midfield that is at fault. I must say I didn't see the match (and I don't really have to urge to watch the "highlights") but if an attacker can drop into midfield pick up the ball there and then run at the defenders then the defenders will inevitably look slow. The midfield has to make sure that doesn't happen. This is also why Lallana skips past defenders so easily, he's already running when the defenders still have to start because he picks the ball up somewhere inbetween midfield and attack. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that although Lancashire might have looked slow he isn't slow, he was actually picked ahead of Perry against QPR because of his pace, and even though it didn't work out the way JP wanted it was a sensible idea on some level.
