Blimey, all this hullabaloo was purely over an e-mail reply from the club, jeez.

Ramirez, his first season, how good has he been?
BlakeySFC replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
I don't think he's been as bad this season as some of you make out. I'd say he's had a solid 6/10 season -

If Eric Lamela signs I'll ride the 'Stealth' rollercoaster at Thorpe Park naked on the 22nd July 2014

Bale won the Carling Cup with Spurs in 2008, not sure if he was in the squad for the final or on the bench etc. though but I'd of thought he'd have a winners medal from that maybe.

Sky Sports News had him on TV today saying much the same, also said he wanted to bring in Wayne Bridge from Man City on a free...that man never learns, Bridge is a 32 year old has-been.

Fair enough. Maybe saying this season's shirt quality was 'conference level' was a bit of an exaggeration I agree. Maybe it's just a combination of wearing it more than usual this season due to the under-use of the white away shirt and the occasional use of the yellow 2011/12 shirt or just that the printed-on treatment means it has worn out quicker than usual. I think shirt quality is largely subjective anyway. I thought the last Umbro England home shirt was pretty average quality myself whereas I think the new England Nike away shirt I bought recently is really good quality...but then they'll be someone out there that'll think it's a terrible quality shirt. 'one mans junk is another mans treasure' as the saying goes. However good the quality is on the new shirt, I just hope it's not printed this year and Adidas decide to use a material that is actually red.
-
Hear, hear. I didn't think the Umbro shirts were too bad up until this season really, the home/away shirt quality for this season just gone nose-dived in my opinion and we ended up with Conference quality shirts. Haven't bought an Adidas footie shirt in a while (think the last one I bought was a Japan home shirt in 2007) but the quality was decent back then and speaking to a few Swansea supporting mates of mine they say the quality is high.

Hear, hear. There's too many morons (particularly on twitter I've found) around these days that don't know how to spell. It is 'rumour' 'centre' 'colour' and 'favourite'

People on the Twittersphere saying that Sky Italia have said we've signed Astori. I'm calling BS on this, but just thought I'd share.

Anyone know when Zebra finance start taking the payments? I'm guessing they start from July and go on for another 9 months?
-
Anyone else going? Got tickets in the Public Ballot for Wimbledon this year for the second Monday (July 1st). Have been applying since 2008 for tickets and finally got allocated some this year I last went in 2007 and don't remember them checking anyone's ID, but that was a long time ago. Anyone might know whether they check Photo ID on the way into the grounds nowadays? Just want to know whether I'll need to bring my passport up with me or not?

Inconsistant. Think he went missing in games too easily for the first half of the season, and then in the 2nd half of the season (in combination with MoPo playing him in a better position) he stepped upto the mark and managed to score some vital goals for us. His movement for the goal V Chelsea (H) and his awareness against Reading (A) was sublime. Hopefully he can push on next season.

Interesting. I've got an outside chance of being able to get my shirt and wear it on Holiday in July this year then. Personally I would prefer halves (similar to the Rapid Vienna template above)/quarters to all red/red with white pinstripes...but I have a nasty feeling this kit will be VERY red with a tiny amount of white.
-
That Home kit is f_ucking terrible the away isn't too bad I suppose, looks very similar to an old template Montréal Impact shirt a few pages back if my memory serves me correctly. True, if we have to have an all red kit with white accents (which is looking increasingly likely) I think the Bayern template (minus the diamond weave) would be acceptable, far nicer than that absolutely dire 'Boro kit above anyway ^
-
I know where you're coming from, but I'd still be pleased with an exact replica of the Bayern home shirt (with Saints logo and sponsor of course).
-
Love the look of them. Not sure about the collar on the Home shirt but it wouldn't really bother me if our kit had one to be honest.
-
I would be pleased if it was reverse of the Toronto template (mostly red with white arms and red stripes) but I'd hope we are an important enough client to Adidas to get a 2013 template.

+ the cup final shirt. I have to say I'm surprised though, thought it was more than that

OFFICIAL: Adidas announced as new kit supplier
BlakeySFC replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Rivalries are an integral part of football my friend. I just think it'd be genuinely hilarious to imagine a skate going into the Adidas store in Gunwharf having a casual look around and that BAM! Saints shirt on the rack and him becoming irate at this prospect. Is it genuinely OK to go to P*mpey with a Saints sticker on your car?! I've always removed mine whenever I go down to Gunwharf for a spot of shopping (admittedly only a handful of times in the last 10 years) for fear of getting the car window broken, the car bricked as I drive through the city, or getting abuse off inbred skates whilst driving through the city and having to resist the urge to run them over.
