  1. The great Lloyd James has, for once, been allowed on the pitch. Luckily for Colchester, he was not involved in the move.
  2. Bus tickets?
  3. I remember him once claiming that he only posts on here when he is in his office and that was only a couple of times a week. Must have finished the cleaning earlier today.
  4. The long range weather forcast predicts an icy touchline. Andy D'Urso has called it off early to save people making another wasted journey.
  5. It was one of the many mid-eighties comedy cop films and starred Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines. Better than most of the others though.
  6. Excuse me, Mr Deppo sir. But wasnt that a film rather than a TV prog.
  7. W H Ireland?
  8. That will be for the benefit of all of those who find it necessary to miss the last 10 mins of the half, to queue up for rank beer.
  9. Oh Firk!
  10. Not traditionally. From 1975 to 1983 we only lost twice.
  11. After the Goldrush - Neil Young.
  12. Timeslip. Orlando. Snagglepuss. Tales From The Riverbank. Crossroads. (Oh no! They tried that. Forget it.)
  13. Dempsey & Makepeace. Soap. The Avengers. Boston Legal. Tom & Jerry.
  14. What?? 10% on top of the price of one of the most desireable mansion houses set deep in the Hampshire countryside? Not even the Leibherr's could afford that.
  15. Right. Now get on and nail the bent bar stewards with proper evidence rather than that old rubbish Panorama came out with.
  16. The "boss" in question is none other than Mick Wadsworth. Late of this parish. He has just been appointed for the rest of the season. I remember Matty being highly critical of him after he had been sacked. Also responsible for our record transfer signing.
  17. I dont think it rained that day in 76 either. But by that time I had "gravitated" to under the West Stand.
  18. We also played them in 74, whilst we were still a 1st div side, again in the 3rd round. I think that game was played in rain as I was on the Milton. saints won 2-1 and Paul Bennett scored from 30 yds.
  19. There is no application form. You just write in. A feat that seemed to be beyond saints fans for Exeter and Brighton last season. Seems another bout of Cortese bashing is in progress.
  20. Pardon my ignorance, but where does it say we are paying the booking fee? D & R's official site gives £20 as the price for home supporters as well.
  21. Cant find a link for this, but on P43 of tonights Echo there is a piece and photo of everyones favourite local golf pro and banned poster. St. Will (for it is he!) caught malaria in Gambia, but has apparently survived. Now he wants to do some chaarrity mate, to raise money for sufferers in Africa. What a Guy! I do miss his regular notes from the Challenge Tour and his helpful tips he gave to fellow golfers on this forum. Hopefully, someone more computer-literate than me, ie. anyone, can post a link to the article
  22. And we will be out in Newcastle where you have to go in shirt sleeves.
  23. watch out for Spiney Norman!
  24. We had 6 players during 1982 that captained England at some point in their career. Channon, Keegan, Ball, Watson, Wright and Mills. Watson last played for Saints in Oct 81 and left for Stoke in Jan 82. Wright signed March 82. Keegan and Channon left during the summer , which is when we signed Shilts. Bally left at the end of October and we signed Mills in his place. The 6 were never at the club at the same time, let alone play together.
