  1. Luckily, we were late leaving as we watched the first couple of overs of the cricket. Had only got to Swaythling when the first call came through.
  2. Am I missing the joke here? We are playing Plymouth away on 26/3/11. K.O 12.30 to avoid clashing with the Wales v England match.
  3. Pedant alert. Oldham was scheduled for Saturday 8th Jan. It was re-arranged as we were in the FA Cup 3rd round.
  4. Dont think he's there anymore. There was a move by someone or other at Eastleigh, to get him in place of Ian Baird.
  5. Dodgy?? I know you are, but I assumed you were joining Reg in a game of Crop Circles.
  6. Two of us driving up and staying in local hotel. Got the Newcastle and Edinburgh ex-pats joining us for a vast quantity of frothy beer in the Causeway.
  7. I think there were at least 2 holes where we DIDN'T see your silph-like form. There was also the long walk away from the scorers hut, where you got more coverage than Rooney's goal. Im writing to Sky to demand a refund. You havent mentioned the gobbing. Sky went loopy about it and he has now been fined. Did you get sprayed?
  8. Hate to be a pedant (they are a series of great photos BTW) but wasn't Stag Gates the entrance to The Inner Avenue, rather than Lodge Road as shown on the left?
  9. I thought it meant that this Saturday's show was coming from there. Seeing as MLT is performing there on Sunday.
  10. SSN are saying its not confirmed as West Ham yet. However, thats probably them being miffed that the Beeb got last nights exclusive. The oh-so reliable "Sky Sports Sources" must have been on holiday.
  11. Don't mention it to Gray and Keys, but the fragrent Ms Massey was back on the line at Chesterfield v Aldershot on Saturday. Chesterfield's 1st goal was a foul-throw and the silly girl wasn't even looking. Bless.
  12. I thought it was haunted. Someone call Yvette Fielding.
  13. Still wear the Red & white woollen scarf made by an aunt in 1967. Its first game was Chelsea 2 Saints 6. Got given a wooden rattle which I was allowed to take to the Combination Cup Final in 69. One twirl. Hit stranger on head. He wanted to hit my Dad. Rattle never went again.
  14. When are you moving, Rodent? We haven't had that drink yet. Also, was that you and Mrs H. staggering past the Stoneham Lane traffic lights at about 11.15 last night (Monday)?
  15. It opened in the mid-seventies, but at first there was a large gap between Ower and Hamble (Junc eight). They added the bit to Junc 7 a couple of years later, but the final piece wasnt done till 84. There isnt a Junc 6 which was supposed to go to Townhill park. Stoneham Way which runs from Swaythling to Junc 5, was opened in 86, but was originally proposed in the late sixties as "The Swaythling Link" and would have run right through to the Western Docks. This involved demolishing about a 1000 homes (inc. mine) and The Dell!! Luckily Southampton Council's usual inertia meant it never happened.
  16. Blankley, Stagg and Llewelyn were all youth and reserve team players. Leroy Whale was a Saints schoolboy player in the eighties, who went on to play for several Southern league sides. Dont know Cullers and Cleevely but I think they were in the Ex-Saints team that played Chelsea last season at Eastleigh in the Kevin Moore/Peter Osgood charity game. The rest all played 1st team. Except for Ady, who bullsh ites his way into these games.
  17. IIRC he was terribly homesick when he first came here and ended up going back to N.Ireland. He was later allowed back to continue his academy career.
  18. Tesco Chunky Chilli.
  19. TBF. He's absolutely right. Its not Rugby League is it?
  20. Just back from TO. They havent had anything from Rochdale yet. The away stand holds 3500 so there is no need to panic.
  21. Premier League. Nothing to do with The F.A.
  22. Welcome back.
  23. I would go with "Peter Storey". He was a nasty sh it as well as being close enough to the doyen of CEO's.
  24. Chris Smalling this time last season. Stayed at Fulham. Ryan Harley last week. Swansea have lent him back to Exeter. HTH.
