I have heard a lot about the erosion of civil liberties so what has been done to make you come to that conclusion. I was caught by a speed camera doing 36 MPH up Lances Hill is that an erosion of my civil liberty or should I have stuck to the Spped limit which I thought was 40 anyway

I thought many on hear were discussing the rumour put out by Solent Not many Saints Fans are on the Forum so what is wrong with them discussing the speculation in the Echo for a wider audience . Of course they would be wrong to say that Pardew was to be sacked but there was certainly lots of speculation.

By Shrewd I mean he senses an oppurtunity to gain advantage for the Conservative Party Inheritance Tax Reducing NI etc Clarke is completely different a true honest politican who discusses the Issues. Although I dont agree with the Daily Mail I sometimes read some of it and today after reading comments about Cortese I noticed Hitchen suggesting that the new Conservative/Liberal Government was to the Left of New Labour and there w ould be problems but only time will tell

I dont like him too but he is shrewd Politican who can chance his views at the drop of a hat I remember in the TV debate with Darling and Clegg on Channel 4 he put Vince down saying something like only Labour or Conservative would be forming the next Government an Vince's Policies were irrelevant

Thank you for your response I have read it but do not intend to respond as I have other things to do But will say that Lifting Stories is quite common these days I spend a lot of time keeping abreast of news and often find different sites have the same story word for word.

Unfortunately the world needs banking and London is one of the major centres so there is no point really in losing it. That said there needs to be global regulation of the banks as suggested by Obama and supported by the former Labour Government we cant do it alone as banks will move to countries where the regulation is less stringent because the Government will lose money and people will lose jobs

I only read the online Echo are there seems very little there which is anti SFC The only fact we know is that AP is not being sacked we dont know anything that the Journalists heard. With regard to MLT saying Cortese acted poorly I think a number of other people would agree NC knew there was speculation regarding AP and should have backed him before now

They put it up to 15% but then because of problems with community charge increased it to 17.5% and reduced the community charge people paid. I was working for a Community Charge Software supplier and it caused havoc as the change happened when some councils had billed and some had not But I agree it seems the a fair way to increase tax revenue if it does not reduce GDP

You would have thought that would be a good solution but I dont think it is as simple as that
