I do agree with that money does not buy guarantee success but with the money spent we we should perhaps be doing better. Having been around in 1960 1966 and 1978 I know that good players playing good football get promotion not blood sweat and passion. We have bought in good players Davis Thomas Schenderlin Lambert Barnard Puncheon Jadi Fonte Harding Hammond plus Lallana but the team is not playing consisently well so there is a problem somewhere. With the amount of money spent on new players plus the likes of Lallana Davis Thomas and Schenderlein we would not even be in the play offs at the moment if we had not had lost ten points not a very successful League Campaign. But I have enjoyed the season up to the Cup game against Pompey

This season we have been a long way from being bankrupt spent loads without much success

In 2010 in eleven league games I think we have two losses five wins four draws I am not sure that is good enough

I dont disagree with what you are saying but there is little evidence that we can string a series of four or five wins together which is dissappointing with all the money spent.

What makes you think he is a shrewd businessman he invested a lot in January but has not got much in return. Although I think the signings were good the results have not been exceptional.

The point I was trying to make is that our current results would be quite acceptable if we had done better at the start of the season. I think we now are expecting too much if we expect to win all our games against lowly sides who are fighting against relegation.

Well I wont the first few games were unacceptable a new manager should have done a lot better. However things are now a great deal better and the few dropped points normal playing against relegation threatened teams

No I dont think so it was the start of the season where we lost out big time. Surely if we had another four points from the first few games things would be a lot better a few dropped points in the last few games is normal where teams in the relegation area are fighting hard.

I still think Pardew and the team should have got more points in the first ten games another four or five would have made all the difference.
