Just because he has scored loads of goals in League 1 does not make him a Premiership Striker There are loads of examples of CCC strikers like Nugent and Ebanks-Blake from Wolves last season who are not up to the Premiership
-
Not sure about Lambert his lack of pace concerns me in the Premiership dont forget Pompey did not have a recognised CB marking him
-
Perhaps Fuller is a better player than you think. Not sure about Lambert his lack of pace concerns me I did not think Crouch was a very good player when he joined us but how wrong I was
-
Although NickG is a little happy clappy I agree with him the outlook does look positive . A great deal better than at the end of August 2009
-
Very good post perhaps NC should leave a couple of million for new players and bugger off for six or seven months and let the coaches and manager produce a team. He can then return and judge on whether they are doing a good job
-
It has this season I think not in previous ones I think
-
Terry Paine was the best all round No 7 I have ever seen in a Saints shirt. He now has a World Cup Winners medal too
-
I am not a "In AP we Trust" fan but with the type of player we are buying I cannot see why we should not be in the mix next season for promotion with or without Pardew our results over the last twenty five or so League games is pretty good. However if we continue to miss chances my optimism may fade
-
I think we took our chances at Norwich but not at Wycombe Brentford and Tranmere and at home against Portsmouth
-
The problem with football is that half the league games are played away where it is not always as easy to achieve results. So I accept that we will not perform away as well as we do at home In fact I have not seen us win away on many occassions
-
He sacked Wotte if I remember
-
I agree with you regarding the lack of a strategy or plan but I do believe that we will be in the top six next season. Whether we get promoted is of course not definite but the standard of the League will probably not be as high as this season.
-
Compared with most Premier League players that is pretty poor
-
Really so why has the world been in recession if the bankers are so wonderful.
-
I think you ought to find another interest as you plainly dont understand football as sometimes the lesser teams wins if not there would be no point in playing
-
Dont you realise that in football sometimes things like missed chances poor tackles and decisions by the Ref completely alter the whole game something the manager cannot control
-
Perhaps he would make a good DOF
-
I think probably like you that we are doing OK. Once on the field the manager is in the hands of the ref and players and cannot be totally blamed for results like yesterday. On another day yje Ref may have been a little kinder and chances missed could have been scored. If we had not had -10 we would be in a good position to get to the play offs in May and I cannot see why we should not be in with an extremely good chance of promotion next season
-
I agree he is a talented ball player but I feel he misses chances and could be more prolific if he did more simple things Perhaps we should play him because he may do something fancy. It is an interesting problem
-
Our Away Form is comparable to Huddersfield Swindon Millwall and Colchester even with the poor start we had
-
I agree with you Lallana never seems to do the simple things often trying to look good instead of playing for the team. His shooting also seems inconsistent obviously he has talent but what will happen to him I am not sure
-
Yes the problem was August/September when I think we should have done better but we did not . Thats in the past now we are playing reasonably and have every chance of promotion next season in the likely event that we fail this season
-
Well we are not going to win all our games are we neither are our rivals
-
After the first ten games we had little chance of promotion but since then we have done OK
