Martin Samuel, Daily Mail on Coretese: "self serving" and a "buffoon"

I think since the introduction of the Premier League as you say we were hardly very successful except on the odd occassion and I cannot see that changing if and when we return -
12 with the JPT - Unlikely

I thought we were a big club and should be in the Premier League;) -

Managing a club in League 1 with loads of dosh is much easier than managing a Club with no money in the Premier League so I am waiting before I make a decision on Cortese. I think a lot of fans think Pardew should be left to get on with his job and that chairmen should keep a low profile which does not seem to happen at SFC By the way I quite like being in League 1 last night £10 for a ticket a win 5 goals a couple of pints a good evening out -
But we won and I enjoyed the game and I never thought we would lose. Having Harding at RB and playing Wotton for the second half did not help either

So if we get to the Premiership what will Cortese's stance be if we never beat any of the top ten teeams at home -

and Wayne Thomas and possibly Chris Perry -
Yes he did touch the ball a few times but it did not often end up with a Saints Player

I agree with most of your markings Thought Puncheon was better in the second half but pretty useless in the First. Waigio did score and make a goal but I was continually wondering what was happening down the right and the left footed Harding did not help. Actually thought Hammond played better when Morgan went off

I have enjoyed this season and hope SFC win the JPT and get at least another twenty league points. But I think with all the money spent I feel slightly disappointed that we have not achieved more. At the start of the season I was hoping for a ten finish with the players that we had with two or three more in the transfer window. Next season I expect us to be very much involved in the Promotion race and not to be out of the top five at any time
-
I thought he played once but could not remember the game
-
Not sure Huxford played that many games in Div 1 but then there was six years in Div 1 between the promotions so it was not surprising that only afew played in Div 1 So it really depends how long it takes to get to the Premiership.

I agree the ref was in a very good position to see what happened

The end of the Terry Paine era I think
-
I hope that was a joke Comparing Terry Paine with Lallana is nearly as ridiculous as comparing MLT with Pulis

I started watching Saints in the Season Reeves left so did not see him score many but according to other supporters he was a bit hit and miss and should have scored at least sixty with all the chances which came his way
-
How many penalties did Reeves score in that season

I do think Doddie has a point for a number of years success was avoiding relegation I must admit I prefer success to be a visit to Wembley But you are right success is relative
-
Probably agree with you not sure they are all shiite but not up to required standard plus Thomas is old?
-
I agree with you but after spending loads on players the results after the JPT game at St Mary's have been a little disappointing in general
-
Just interested to know how much is a manager responsible for results compared with the players. They always seem to get stick when if a player or players had played to his usual standard the team may have won.
