According to a family friend who watches Crawley regularly but was a wimp recently as he thought Gateshead was too far to go say Charlie is very good - Much too good for Crawley
-
Seems a very reasonable post to me Fonte Jaidi Harding and Lambert have been good signings but I am not sure about the rest although Barnard may turn out OK
-
Sometims I drink in the Avenue Pub before games should be there on 9th but wont be bring W******d with me Still think Paine was the best player I have seen in a Saints Shirt. I suppose you never saw him play
-
Probably not happy clappy these days I agree and not really happy about the expectations and money in Football today Also dont believe all the Hype/PR that comes out of SFC Results and performances are the things that count not five year plans.
-
No Berkshire l but used to go there a lot for work at both EHDC and Lifeguard Assurance at Penns Place where all the Workers were Pompey fans
-
Saw him play his first game for Saints at Old Trafford in 1980 I think he was about 16 at the time

Fame at last If going to W******d's Shop is regular contact Yes mind you I used to go there when his Dad was there and also when Erica Roe the famous Twickenham Streaker was there. I shall be going to his shop before I come to the JPT Match next month

Yes as the commentater said SFC can only blame themselves for not winning
-
and what a stupid threader too Reminds me of a song:D
-
Yes very interesting post but what I cannot understand is From the Echo "Why Mr Cortese decided to impose a ban is something only he can answer. We were informed Mr Cortese was keen to meet and discuss the matter, yet he has never responded to phone calls, cancelled a meeting he arranged, and as yet has failed to give any explanation". So it appears to be in SFC hand's

Robin Hood maybe:confused:
-
Any news on Puncheon then ?
-
Sometimes he is sometimes he is not. Pardew thinks that eventually he wont be
-
I think he knows who the best players are and those that may not be match fit but posters on the forum may not agree with him. AS nobody ever seems to get the team right before match Day
-
I dont disagree with what you are saying but I just think a DM is more important but he may well get one in. He said he was going to replace Mellis if he had we would be OK for Saturday
-
No just an observation I thought there was general agreement that we need a good CM. and we have loads of defenders
-
I think you could play up front and we would still win. Any team we put out from those who have started recent games should win easily That said I think Wotton needs a rest but unlike Burley who collected midfielders Pardew seems to collect Defenders. so Fonte for midfield?

Myfamily moved away from Southampton in 1950 and my brother and I started taking an interest in the Saints in the late fifties. We move back to Southampton in 1962 and we have been watching them ever since. Seen some great games and good players in that time. Best Games Saints v Nottm Forest at the Dell FA CUP Replay 1963 Saints v Nottm Forest at the White Hart Lane FA CUP Replay 1963 Best two results Saints v Leyton Orient away 1966 Saints v Manchester United FA Cup Final 1976 still the best day of my life Best Player Terry Paine With Regard to NC and Italy just feel that the whole thing seems unlikely but I dont know
-
Yes I agree we dont have to put out the best team to beat Stockport
-
Like when we were in the Premier League but Window Cleaner does make a good point below.
-
I dont think I am being overtly critical just putting forward views which you dont agree with. But the team is going to finish this season in the worst position it has been in the Fifty or so years I have been watching them
-
Like most of the posters on here I would have thought If you do not agree with what I say perhaps you can put forward alternative points. So what is it that you do not me saying?
-
They may well of been trying to put Cortese in a bad light because they may have thought that that Cortese was making more of what had happened. He may well have been approached by AC Milan but I find it hard to believe that he was invited on to their board fulltime after such a short time at SFC. Cortese now says it happened some months ago Of course I dont know any of the facts that is why I find it interesting.
-
I still dont understand why the Echo's Credibility has taken a hit. They are just reporting interesting stories I would have thought. NC mentioned on Solent that he had been approached by an Italian Club which I think was very interesting it is now on a number of sites that it happened sometime ago .
