Yes Sturrock signed him I think He is a close friend of a relative who used to play football with him when he was younger
-
I said he was good today but would have been great if he had scored It is in the end goals which count
-
I agree but I wish he would score more goals he gets in good positions all the time but does not score as many as I think he is capable of
-
Todays performance was so much better than two years ago when we were dreadful against Bristol Rovers in the 5th Round
-
It was similar in that for the first hour or so we were as good as B'ham like we were today. However I think the First Pompey Goal was really good an excellent strike which for me showed the difference in class between the Premier League and League 1
-
I agree but we also played well against B'ham earlier in the season for 70 mins or so before Murty got injured
-
I agree whats more he appears to be a decent bloke and on ITV was complimentary of the match today
-
I think Antonio is going to be a pretty good player the more he plays the better he is probably going to get.
-
Yes I agree I think Perry is first class too probably he will not play too many more times at St Mary's. Not sure about Thomas at RB but Puncheon and Fonte will be good additions
-
I dont disagree with you about Adam he had a good match but not a great one thats all. MLT was great because the could score goals thats my point.
-
Sorry but Lallana did not have a great game if he had we would have won. I am not in anyway blaming him for the loss but he did have a couple of chances to score
-
Yes he does come from S'ton Highfield I think
-
Just shows the difference in quality between Premiership and League 1 finishing Great game though really enjoyed it the team played very well
-
Good I am pleased with that
-
You would have thought so but you never know with AP he always likes to tinker with the team
-
As the match gets closer I am feeling more confident when the draw was made I thought we would lose. With Pompey having transferred players as well as having injuries and suspensions I am not so sure now.
-
He was of course a very good manager however that does not make him a great man.
-
So who's travelling the furthest for the Pompey game?

I am watching it on the TV The chair I will be sitting on is about 10 foot from this Computer:D -
Very true Received this Email from A Luton Fan last night Were you one of the 30,000 at St Mary's on Tuesday ? As Luton won the Johnson's Paint Trophy last year I know how thrilling a semi-final win and a visit to Wembley can be

Perhaps Cortese needs a reality check football is not like other businesses there are so many influences like injuries suspensions referee decisions and player errors to contend with. Probably if Connolly had been fully fit and scored a goal at Millwall Brentford and Exeter things may have been different but he was injured and did not play that is the reality of Football. Leon Best missed a penalty at Derby and Killer got injured when we were in the Premier League these things happened if they had not perhaps Cortese would not be here today. Similar things will happen when he is in charge but I am certain results will start to improve very shortly

It is of course because of the minus ten points and poor start to the season after going into Administration that we were unlikely to get to the playoffs However in both the FA Cup and JPT where we started on a level playing field with other clubs we have excelled as the only League 1 Club in Round 5 and getting to the final of the JPT. It seems a pretty good season to me and I think the thousands who saw the game on Tuesday most will agree.
-
Surely they are not going to cancel the play offs
-
Yes I agree or only relegate two from the CCC
-
That is ridiculous we are no nearer the playoffs now than we were yesterday
