Yes he is and not doing that well

Surely the only things that have happened this year 1 SVENSSON will not play again and has been replaced by JPS 2 Saga probably our best player is now available and because of that and Euell being fully fit the tactics have changed to a more realistic system which is more appropriate to the Championship and Wotte is a strong manager. 3 We have had more luck or rub of the green. The major point of the emphasis on the Academy surely is still in tact

Was Lowe a lot closer to being right than we give him credit for?

You could be right but the tactics were ridiculous -
Sorry Ted Bates before Lawrie whats more he managed the team that stuffed Nottm Forest 5 0 at White Hart Lane where about 40000 of us witnessed a legendary night Ted took us from Third Division to First Division and Europe did not get us relegated and gave Lawrie the platform to build which he did very well.
-
Totally agree I still feel that the only way forward is to develop players like Lawrie did

The idea of developing the Academy to bring players through obviously was Wilde's and Lowe's ideas but I did not realise it was their idea to play with only one lone striker which I thought particularly stupid at the start of the season when I saw it in action for myself. However the plan for bring through Academy players seems to be still in force with Gobern McLaggon Thomson Patterson White Lancashire Mills around to play in the first team in years to come. -
I had them as draws too and we still stayed up

I would add Ron Davies and Bobby Stokes to to the Legends Plus Chivers Huxford Kirby O'Brien McGrath to Icons

Surely it was the tactics employed by JP that have caused the current problems. From the Celtic and Blackpool games early in the season it was evident that the lone or later to become the loan striker was not going to work -
The Football League say they have no plans to extend the transfer window.

Arturo Lupoli [Fiorentina - Sheffield United] Loan from BBC Website Tomas Pekhart has left Tottenham to join Slavia Prague on a 12-month loan deal.

Any early last minute transfer news?

Do you not realise we have no money because we spent too much money in previous seasons And Forest boss Billy Davies has now moved to snatch Jones in a reported £600,000 deal. -
who ever decided to loan out saga should be put down

So what would you do to reduce costs then? It is not easy something had to be done unfortunately to reduce costs and Saga played well in Euro 2008 so he was loaned I think Saganowski is our best player overall but we signed John and Euell last season so he did not play much. Surely Rasiak and Saga were OK as strikers for last year with BWP in reserve. If Euell and John were not signed and Crouch did not want Euell anyway we may have saved at least £2m in wages over two seasons maybe more so the cost cutting this year would not have been so great , Results may have been better and attendances up. But the last board thought that if they bought in players success would be guarnteed and a takeover would take place. -

Who is Pulis? Has he played before

Football is not a game of Perfect

Yes Mr Git you are probably correct but as the Club is in Financial meltdown it is very easy to discount things that have happened in the past

I am not saying the bloke is competant or trustworthy but does have the interests of the club at heart. Why would he invest money in ousting Lowe His priority was to get in some investment (which did not happen) because that is the only way the club will prosper in the future.
-
I think he does have the best interests of the club at heart He ousted Lowe He tried to get us promoted and we got to Play Offs. He saw the club under Crouch sliding into administration so he got back Lowe to carry out the unpopular task of cost cutting. Knowing how unpopular was it was a courageous decision to bring Lowe back but obviously he thought the club was in a very bad state

Surely being confident and being constantly told you are crap does not help either. Go and ask Kelvin -
But do we need to sell in order to get in other players or payoff the overdraft?

How things have changed three years ago Wilde was the messiah

For £1.6 Million I would have thought he was going to be a far better player than he turned out. We cant have bought many defenders/midfield players for that amount when we were in the Premiership
