Why with apparent some good news on the horizon do we get this negative drivel?

You may well be right but Jones probably gets a large salary so what is his role. Somebody should be responsible for this mess surely it is not Lowe and Crouch was only really in charge for a few months

I may be wrong but I dont think Chelsea are a PLC. Although of course SFC is a football club Southampton Holding's is not and should be treated as a PLC that is why dividends are paid to shareholders in the event of profit. Also if revenue is falling I would have thought it should be the responsibility of the FD to ensure expenditure decreases also.

I think since the credit crunch banks are being more prudent in what money they are loaning so it may well be having an effect on SFC's overdraft

I have not agreed with your posts in recent days but I am in full agreement with what you are saying tonight in this thread. Perhaps your previous comments alienate you from other posters when you contribute something interesting

I would have thought in most organisations which fail the FD is one of the first to go. I dont understand why in this case no one thinks he should.

Because everbody blames Lowe/Wilde/Crouch other people at SFC appear to be able to survive with little or no public scrutiny. You are one the first to raise the topic although I seem to remember something similar in another thread I sometimes think lots of fans think Lowe does everything and no one else is involved.

I have forgotten now had did Hone engineer Wilde's resignation and then sack Crouch from acting Chairman of the Football Club

So Lowe and Cowen are working closely with two people who were heavily involved in causing the financial mess we are in today.

Yes I agree Crouch was always on about investment coming tomorrow or next week or next month or next year. The whole strategy after Lowe left was spend money to get promotion George Burley knows some good players and then someone will take us over no problem. Most Fans agreed because Lowe never injected money into the club and we are Southampton and we should be in the Premiership Although I tend to agree Dave Jones seems to either to be incompetant or nobody took any notice of him. It would be interesting to see any minutes of board meetings

We may have had three managers but we also had injuries and pretty appalling performances by managers and players. In effect we really had two managers as Sturrock was only involved for two games.

I take issue with that comment. Firstly injuries played a huge part in our downfall at the begginning of the season at one time we had Beattie Crouch Phillips Ormerod Svennson and others injured. That started us on our downfall followed by the inept decisions of Redknapp.

Surman because I feel he is overated. Mills will soon take over his position so where will he play then?

In the years before Lowe arrived I assummed every season we would be relegated but after his arrival I did not. However our present problems have been caused completely by Wilde Hone and Crouch together with the masses who wanted Lowe out. I doubt if Lowe had been not been chucked out whether we would be in this position today. Lowe might not be well liked or in some cases hated but who could do a better job? It would of course be better if Lowe was not here because he divides the fan base .

This my 47th season supporting the Saints. In that time the only consistent think has in general been their inconsistency. So I take the rough with the smooth . I think I have been lucky in watching them during the very good times it cannot be so good for youngsters who have only been supporting for a few years. It will get better one day

If you mean by a Lowe Luvvie somebody with commonsense I would agree. Mr Lowe seems to be more in touch with reality than some posters from Continental Europe .

Yes as usual I am in agreement with you. There do however seem to be a significant number of people who either do not understand the situation or do not want to understand the situation posting comments which bear no relation to the situation and expect someone to spend £20 million plus on a whim to help us out..

I think buying Davies was probably a bad decision in the First Place as we had no money. It is very easy to post comments like this without any constructive alternative.
