If the youngsters are in the opinion of Jan better than the seasoned pros then they should be played as they have the potential to improve. Having only seen one game ie the Blackpool one I thought Svennson White Gillett and Schederlin Poor James Dyerand Surman OK Perry Lallana McGoldrick Holmes (first half) Wotton John Good in that match. I believe that Svennson Gillett and Schederlin have played well in other matches I dont think we should change the team because of one poor game after all most players had played three games in Eight days. However I expect Skacel Euell John and Wotton to be fully involved in the First Team unless they are loaned out

Yes You are probably right it could be classed as grovelleling but I thought afterwards it was a bit over the top It cannot be very nice getting lots of abuse and when I asked the question I had read the Echo comments page which contained too much abuse. I am certain he invested in SFC for the best of reasons not for financial gain like Lowe

I think it is more complicated than that running a football . Letting Burley bring in his choices was a disaster and to some extent the same thing happened at West Ham http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/7597876.stm

Sorry I meant to reply who cares to the original poster. These hypothetical scenarios which are usually of the negative variety seem to me to be a waste of time However this article from the BBC seems to have West Ham modelling them selves on SFC http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/7597876.stm

Jan, how long has he got? (not looking for an arguement)

Well I think it is a stupid thread. JP is here for sometime -

This team is going to struggle this season in the Championship the club is trying to build for the future I do not expect us to be in the top twelve this season. Lots of fans are too stupid to realise this and expect instant success even discussing a change of stategy is out of the question. I would have thought JP would be here for some time he needs time to build a team -
Playing with only one up at home is very negative I feel. The opposition CBs have an easy time I dont think the formation is right for Championship games at home

Yes I agree I thought Svennson was slow and had a poor game against Blackpool he did not win much in the air .
-
So was I
-
A win by 2 wickets amazing
-
Well Davies was player of the season after only playing half a season
-
Well start another thread then
-
I have always been surprised with the number of injuries we have had in recent seasons with the first team squad
-
I am in total agreement
-
That means I am a Lowe Luvvie I just thought I was a sensible supporter
-
I agree if he comes he should of course be accepted. However my opinion is that he should not be coming here as he does not meet the criteria of players that we were supposed to be attracting if he was 18 that may be a different story.
-
From the OS Site JP says the team has no injuries. Is this going to be the trend with a team of young players and if so we could be playing without disruption to team selection so enabling us to perform better.
-
Well I dont £100000 seems a lot of money for a 24 year old who has only played about 20 games I still do not think he will come.
-
I have great difficulty in believing we would pay £100000 for Pulis. I would believe Stoke paying us £100000 to take Pulis
-
Well I was at Goodison when we went down we actually won that day. Probably rather upset did not know who the Chairman was and never saw Terry Paine again
-
What is a Lowe luvvie ? Perhaps one could let me know
-
Yes you are right for some reason the expectations of a number of fans is too high and has always been so in the last few years. When we were in the Premiership fans were expecting unrealistically large iinvestment to take us into the top six. I shall be happy if we finish in the top 15 and move on next season. Fans will moan when the young players who have excelled move to larger clubs but hopefully the system will bring others into the first team squad.

I doubtit our team was rubbish when we went down and we fully deserved it
