Deffo not - that is what p1sses them off so much, but I am certain that the FL will not let Poopey walk away with £10mill of tax-payers money unpunished, whatever the CVA agreed. (Remember it is a 'club' and it has a great 'exceptional circumstances' rule to allow it to do what it likes.)

I'll think you'll find it does......

There's nothing old Toad-faced Avram loves more than a Tug

We went to Yeovil yesterday & met up with my brother and his family. He's more of a rugger-b*gger really and when Ii mentioned how much Poopey getting to the cup final had p1ssed me off he was genuinely surprised, saying 'they are your nearest team, don't you support them when Saints aren't playing?' He just couldn't get it (maybe all that scrumming has addled his brain), so I said ask my (sixteen year-old) son what he thought of them, and he did. And his reply (and oh, it makes a father so very proud) was, I hate the cheating skate b*st*rds. Highlight of an alround good day.

Corpy: We're not "cheating" by not playing a fuill strength side, we're resting players so they don't get injured. You've done the same in the past and clubs do it every week. So please stop whining about it, it's dull and boring. I actually don't care about the weakened team bit, it's that toad-faced tw0t Grant mithering on about how dreadfully unfair it all is and how they should get an award for being so brave that really hacks me off.

Just back from the game - first away one of the season, I confess. I can really see why we struggle at some of these places - the team and their fans were both well up for it, they closed down like mad, pressed our better players and we were a bit lucky tbh. I couldn't see the Morgan incident, but Fonte was lucky to stay on, I reckon. But fair play to our players, they never gave up, and fair play to Pardew for the courageous/insane substitutions. It actually turned it around because rather than holding on as we had been for ten minutes, we went death or glory and pushed them backwards. A wild game with an unlikely winner, but the crazy dream goes on.

Unbelievable. They really are totally shameless CHEATS
-
I think he will always drive us mad - taking too many touches, not playing the easy ball etc, BUT he has quick feet, some genuine flair and a good football brain and, like Lallana, will get better and better with time. Another shrewd Pardew signing imo

I think you'll find it's Spartacus, not Sparticus. Oh, and btw I'm Spartacus. (Oh, go on, you can be Sparticus & I'll be Spartacus.)

That's no wayto talk about Mrs W******d...

I don't need a shrink to answer this 3 reasons - 1. It's Pompey - der! Just like you lot took an unhealthy interset in our problems. 2. As far as soap-operas go, it knocks 'Stenders into a ****ed hat. 3. It has given, and continues to give, us a huge number of laughs on a daily basis. (Also, to be fair, this has been just about the only Poopey thread running and is now in it's ninth month.) Good enough explanation?

This is what p1sses me off quote SSN - Avram Grant could only name four substitutes last night He CHOSE to name only four substitutes CHEATS

I think the last comment from Andronikou is instructive - "It makes the club more attractive to investors to put it on the European stage - we've got to go for it." Unless you totally believe the Corpy/Dubai Phil scenario where they actually don't want new owners, this, like all the other bull from Andy Android, is aimed at foreign investors

cheats

The thing that p1sses me off with you, oh corpulent one, is that in amongst the pile of bullsh1t you dump on here there are some genuine insights and reasoned arguments. Your long and rambling retaliation to variois posters is a classic of its type. I am quite prepared to believe that Richards had no involvement in the Fahim shambles, and thyen you claim that up to £18million of unpaid taxes amounts to four months worth! Bonkers. There is no tax on profits, just VAT, NI & PAYE. Also even you must see a difference between reasonable,if ambitious, spending & financial insanity. And as for resting players - fine, no problem. But don't then bleat on about how unfair it is that in one game an unplayed youngster had to come on as a sub. As for our ten points - sure we hoped we might get away with it, but not many expected it & generally we took it grudgingly on the chin. Then you finish up with two well argued and realistic pieces. I accept the fans are getting a rough deal, and there isn't much you can do about. But, please, stop all the whining about how it's everyone elses fault and all the pathetic appeals to overturn every bloody rule or law you breach. It's embarrassing.
-
Two issues - firstly, at no point was your debt manageable - didn't your last accounts show something like 90% of income going on wages, and it was very obvious that the accounts were out of control and that churning cash was the only concern. Secondly, I acknowledge that surviving in the Prem is a grim business, and falling out of it is disastrous (I think our turnover dropped by 60% in our first season and that is a hell of a lot for any business to survive - hence our plight and that of clubs like Norwich, Charlton & Palace). But just going bonkers and outbidding the top clubs for England internationals was never a long term solution. What p1sses is off is that you took all that as your due and now cry foul when it goes wrong
-
Time and again they twist and crawl, appealing this, complaining about that, they really are a bunch of CHEATS.

This overspending on the stadium one is really pathetic. It probably goes down well on Mongo Skateland forums, but it is simply not correct. We NEVER defaulted on the stadium debt, we NEVER defaulted on our taxes, but we slightly overreached ourselves just as the banks got the jitters and withdrew our modest £4 million - not £40million, like you - overdraft facility. We then hired a dirt cheap coach, loaned out and sold everyone we could as we battled relegation with a team of untested youngsters until the bank bounced a cheque for £4thousand, whereupon the board decided the only proper thing to was resign and put the club into administration. I don't see much cheating there. I really can't be Rsed to even start the list of things you have cheated on. But it's a fecking long list
-
I stand to be corrected, but that game at the end of the Branfoot era was the only league we had under 10000 for since 13th May 1963 against Grimsby (8726) & that was because it was the middle game of three home games in five days to catch up after the terrible winter. Could you boast the same level of support?
-
Schneiderlin's first goal might have been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait!
-
Most of the debt is theoretical - Gaydy, Chainrai etc - which can grow or shrink to suit their own agendas. But regardless of who emerges owning the club there are two big nasties they can't hide from, namely footballing debt & HMRC. They have to absolutely pay back the football debt to be allowed to compete, and if they fail to repay HMRC in full I am certain there will be big points deductions next season. (The FL remains a 'club' and there is no way they will let Pompey waltz into their club, cleared of debt and clutching a fistful of parachute payments without further sanctions.) And that is the bit that will discourage any prospective buyer trying to buy them out of admin on the cheap and get back to the promised land.

Interesting snippet at the end of the comments bit in the guardian: Lens, still owed ? 7.2 million by Portsmouth for the sale of Dindane and Belhadj, are now in trouble with the French football finance regulator, DNCG, and are threathened with administrative relegation if they don't collect some of that money from Portsmouth soon. Admittedly, Lens are owed money by other clubs as well, so this situation is not entirely Portmouth's fault, but still....
-
Reading that article about Leeds, it seems inconceivable that Poopey will not be docked points if they fail to pay off HMRC in full. The football authorities are running scared on losing the football debts first arrangement, and in the current climate there is no way HMRC can roll over, so a hefty points deuction is the only chance they have of maintaining the status quo, however the CVA appears. (Note the reference to the 'exceptional circumstances' clause.)
-
That would make me bitter. You lot I laugh at mostly, but I do feel a bit angry, too, that you all seem so content to be CHEATS
-
We're not bitter - we are just doing our bit to keep our favourite soap-opera rumbling on. Bitterness is what small-minded people feel when its all going t*ts-up and you can't quite managhe to pin the blame on everyone else, no matter how hard you try and how often you say it. What we are doing is enjoying ourselves immensely, tempered with a bit of mild irritation when the plot doesn't quite go how we want it to. There is a difference, I can assure you.
