  1. I was thinking about this whilst walking the dog this morning; The flatfish-frottering few keep moaning on and on about how it's all the PL's fault that they are in this mess this season, but (unbelievably, I know, given their highly evolved brains) they have it totally arrse about face. Where the PL were seriously at fault was in ever letting the Gaydamaks into English football in the first place, to launder their soiled money and buy an FA Cup win with it. (Much as I loathe old ****flap-face, you can't really blame a manager for buying every player he ever dreamt of buying if the owner makes the cash available). That bit was their serious failing. All any of this season's shower of comedians have ever been were vultures picking over the dead corpse of Poopey, once Gaydamak senior got nailed by the Israeli court and could no longer find any fifty-pees for the launderomat. The PL's choices were either to let the club fold once Gaydamak senior withdrew funding, or to hope that one of the potless sheiks might just have found some cash. They would have been damned either way, and it's not as if they blocked a takeover by anyone credible, is it? All they could do was hope meltdown might be miraculously avoided, but there was nothing practical they could do. The unpalatable truth for the mullet-molesting mongs down the road is that the PL should have intervened BEFORE their little spell in the sun, not sort out the sh*t-storm that followed.
  2. I really don't get it with all the Pardew-bashing. We are never going to win every game, or be brilliant in every game. But overall this season has been excellent. His signings have been top-class without exception, we are plaing the right way and supporting Saints is fun again. But there are always off-days. Pardew is putting a top-class squad together to carry us on into the Prem. (How many of you realise that the squad that took Reading up into & through the CCC into the Prem was almost entirely assembled by Pardew, not Coppell?) He is a top, top manager and we will only realise that when he has gone. I will accept that if we fail to go up next season that I was wrong, but I am certain we will go up and be pushing for the Prem. We are seeing the start of something fantastic here; don't let's the odd shaky performance, four days after the biggest day in most of our players' lives, distract you from that
  3. I'm surprised Grant hasn't been on yet, claiming that Vanden Borre's sending off should be overturned for some unspecified 'special circumstances.' And how much do you want to bet that most of his allegedly injured players don't get into the spirit of easter and rise again against all the odds to turn out at Wembley. CHEATS
  4. He's only there now for one reason, but I'm torn between to conflicting possibilities of what that reason is. Reason one - he just can't bring himself to leave the club he loves so much, what with the bestest fans in the world ™ and all that. Reason two - he has a nailed-on contract for approximately £20K/week that Andy Android can't terminate and no b*gger else has offered him even half that. Can anybody help me understand which is the real reason?
  5. If we ignore the first ten games (ie August & Sept) we have played 28 games for 55 points. Times that up for 46 games and you get 90 points - more than enough to get us up. Minus 10 and a crap start are what have done for us. We are never going to win every game, but overall we have achieved what is required for promotion over the last six months, as well as two major cup runs. So, all you whingers, get over it. This year was always a long shot, next year I am so confident I might even put a bet on it
  6. Two links from the Skatey news site. (Two irrelevant thoughts - firstly I'm impressed that someone in Skateland reads the Guardian, and secondly, I wonder if Chainrai is still friends with Yossifoff after being stitched up by him for £17mill.) http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/01/portsmouth-rob-lloyd-consortium-andronikou http://m.guardian.co.uk/?id=102202&story=http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/02/portsmouth-balram-chainrai-administration
  7. I couldn't even find a mention of the match in the Sun in Selsey Co-op this morning. Maybe they printed a different edition for the dark side
  8. Pinched this from the News who pinched it from pompey-fans.com..... Quotes are frm the guardian article I posted earlier. They are finally getting it 'Last week an Israeli judge ruled that Gaydamak Sr, currently exiled in Moscow after being convicted of arms trafficking by a French court, would be made bankrupt if he didn't pay the US$46m (£31m) he owes to Chainrai and his business partner, Levi Kushnir.' Funny how Chainrai/Kushnir own PFC now!? What a coincidence! Another coincidence is that Sacha Gaydamak claims to be owed £30.5m as a 'creditor' of PFC. Amount required to stave off bankruptcy for his father – £31m. As said here before, if Chainrai retains PFC via the CVA we're still hostage to the shady past ownerships. Makka Posts 3,5,7 Gaydamak snr is allegedly awash with money from the sale of arms to Angola and diamonds to Russia. It's highly likely that some of this money was stuffed into bags and sent to the Pompey laundry where it could be exchanged for "clean" tv money and tansfer fees courtesy of the industrious messrs Storrie and Redknapp. Because of colossal cash flow problems and persistent creditors, viz mr Chanrai, It seems that Sacha is now trying to claw back as much cash as he can to save his dad's affairs, hence £5m going straight into an offshore account no doubt. 3 & 5 Makka - not only are these stories, but BIG stories, because they raise issues again about the very future of the club. However, nothing about any of these issues in The News in the last days. Unbelievable. Perhaps because the News put "sports writers" on Pompey, whereas these pieces deal with completely questions at a completely different level. However, luckily people in Portsmouth read the nationals. Very sorry for the injured players, but there are no articles about the really BIG concerns for us to comment on. Also http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7532910/Richard-Scudamore-Portsmouths-financial-plight-has-hurt-Premier-League.html And interesting, News story mentions "efforts are made to reach an agreement with Lens" but leaves out what was published in The Mirror, that - who other than "Peter Storrie, the chief executive who negotiated the deal, is planning to meet Lens officials tomorrow in an attempt to allow Pompey to continue playing the star". So Storrie still very central to running Pompey. A month of administration, and all we hear is that Andronikou "has not carried out a forensic examination of the club's books, which would help any potential purchaser, saying it is not his top priority" (Guardian). I think other authorities are needed for this. & a link http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/the-mole/Where-has-the-5millon-compensation-payment-Portsmouth-received-from-Tottenham-for-Harry-Redknapp-gone-The-Mole-Column-article369391.html
  9. They weren't trying to compete with anyone. They wanted to buy some sham respectability and to launder lots of blood-stained money, and how better to do it than to hide in clear view in the dirty trough of the Prem.
  10. Top, top day. Everything was brilliant. I can't think of anything else to add, except thank you, Markus fopr giving us our club back
  11. For all their whining I notice they had a full complement of 18 established pros (so to speak) against Chelsea, who had two untried teenagers on their bench. Two out injured from Tuesday (& Rocha might still be fit) - two up from the bench & two teenagers brought in. If it's good enough for Chelsea, it really ought to be good enough for Poopey
  12. He's like Storrie, isn't he? My position is nearly untenable. I can't go on like this. Oh, Is it Friday & payday, again? Another £20k safely tucked away in the bank. What the hell, let's give it another week, eh? (Continues indefinitely, or until the money runs out)
  13. I thought Grant was alright at Chelsea, even a bit hard done by but he has proved to be a sh1t-bag of the first order, bleating on and on how unfair everyone is to Poopey. Now whinging on that a player they should never have been allowed to sign might have to leave and asking YET a-effing-gain for the authorities to bend the rules for poor little Poopeyto gain an unfair advantage with O'Hara. If you are financially sh@gged, play the youngsters, it is what every other team has had to do in such circumstances. And, most of all STFU (CHEATS)
  14. Didn't quite catch that. Was it CHEATS you were trying to say?
  15. Did you mean to say CHEATS
  16. One reason - the desperation of the Premier League not to lose one of its teams mid-season. All any of them want is for the Fishy Few to limp over the line in May, then we can all go off and watch England eff it up again in the world cup as they are quietly killed off. Reading some of the Skatey comments on the News site the penny is finally, finally dropping over there. Some of them have worked out that their players are worth eff-all and that Andy Android just might not have solely their best interests in mind as he dismantles the club, despite the big talk. Also, clever chaps, can you remind us about the 'associated' creditors bit, because I'm sure that takes care of them ever getting a CVA whilst HMRC are still in the game regardless of the other debts,
  17. Did anyone else notice that quite a few Saints fans applauded their second goal, including myself. It was a great strike, admittedly, and it proves what a bl00dy gentlemanly lot we are....
  18. I think Storrie is earning his consultancy fee solely for his ability to get his patsy at ESPN (probably his neice or sister) to print such drivel as the £30 million they are going to raise from player sales. Either Andy Android is deluded (possibly) or it is more window-dressing for the fire-giveaway. You can hear old Andy A out there in his Dell-boy hat, even as we sit by our screens - Any player you want for free, squire, as long as you pay their wages to the end of June. No takers, any player you want for free and all you have to do is pay half their wages to June. A quarter, even. Go on, it's a bargain. Okay, we'll chuck in a couple of the youth squad for free - house-trained and obedient, your wife will love them. And how about a voucher for an exclusive little club in Horton Heath... No, still no takers. Look at them, all those poor footballers looking for a home. Then Alexander Arnstrong removes his Andy Android mask (AA - AA, bit of a co-incidence, eh?) and says very slowly Kill them... And Mr Chainrai's problems have been halved in an instant.
  19. I actually think this transfer window thing is bloody good news - the only way anyone would by one of their players now is for pennies, ie too good a deal to miss. In fact it might even be a case of merely getting the wages off the books. For example they all reckon Belhadj is worth £2-3 million. He is also likely to be a big earner. So someone, eg Celtic, come in and offer £200k cash and agree to pay his wages till the end of June, how can Andy Android refuse? They get half a mill now, not £3 mill in July. It's beautiful. All the Prem have ever cared about is not messing up the league this season. What happens after that is of no interest to them.
  20. Oh go on. Treat yourself.
  21. They seriously won't raise that much. Boateng is a nutter (& a highly paid one) If they can get the likes of him, Brown, Mullins, Diop, Ben Haim etc off the payroll without it costing them anything it will be a major success. Just keep thinking Rasiak
  22. My point exactly - he is probably their single most marketable asset. Players like Mullins, Utaka etc are almost unsaleable with their wages. Those that are not out of contract will have to be paid off or loaned out with Poopey covering some of the cost. Belhadj's transfer fee would barely cover Utaka's wages till the start of next season
  23. I think you'll find he isn't a Poopey player, and I don't think Spuds can recall him unless the terms of his loan allows it
  24. Their players are basically cr*p, which is why they are bottom of the PL. Therefore they are not worth anything to a Prem team. They might be fine at CCC level, but.... Nobody outside the Prem, and the top few teams in Europe, has money to spend on transfer fees any more. So while someone like Belhadj or Boateng might be 'worth' £5million, finding a buyer is another matter. And that ignores the fact that they are on contracts paying five or ten times what anyone outside the Prem could pay. I actually think that if Mr Android could clear their entire playing squad to start again at zero cost to the club/creditors, he would deserve a Storrie-sized bonus.
  25. You can almost hear some of them standing before the magistrate saying - 'It's not my fault I nicked his car radio. It is his fault for leaving the car unlocked to tempt me.' They really are some of the most retarded people ever to bang one finger on a keyboard.
