What I do think with the 9 points and a lot of the other bullsh1t that Storrie and Jacob uttered about no WUO, taxman is wrong etc, is that it is aimed at the foreign market. Everyone here knows it for what it is, but in Dubai, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Africa to name but a few, they are less up to speed and you can just hear Storrie reassuring potential marks (er, sorry, investors) that of course their appeal will succeed and hurry up with that cash while you still have a chance. (Eg, allegedly Chainrai didn't know, when he leant Poopey all that dosh that he would not even be close to being a securede creditor)

More worrying were the comments that he was seen leaving at 5.15 with a face like thunder
-
I don't know how to break this to you (never mind Corpy), but we must be big and brave and start to at leastcontemplate considering the possibility that Riquelme's signing might just be delayed somewhat.

I thought it was Storrie's mum, come to tell them all to stop being nasty to Peter

Here's something to while away the next half hour till admin time. Guess the resale value of the Poopey squad? I'll start 1 James £0 2 Primus £0 3 Rocha £0 4 Mokoena £100000 5 O'Hara £0 (loan) 6 Mullins £100000 7 Hreidarsson £0 8 Diop £500000 9 Piquionne £0 (loan, I think) 11 Brown £0 14 Owusu-Abeyie £0 (loan) 15 Niemi £0 16 Finnan £100000 17 Utaka £1,00000 (only if someone will pay his wages otherwise a big negative value) 18 Vanden Borre £500000 19 Webber £500000 20 Smith £1,00000 21 Ashdown £200000 22 Hughes £100000 23 Boateng £1,00000 24 Dindane £0 (loan, or maybe not) 25 Tosic £0 26 Ben-Haim £500000 27 Kanu £0 32 Yebda £1,00000 (but is he on loan?) 33 Basinas £0 35 Wilson £1,000000 37 Nlundulu £0 39 Belhadj £3,000000 40 Bogard £0 40 Ward £0 43 Hurst £0 45 Martin £0 46 Sowah £0 Koroma £0 =£10.6 million (& that is being pretty charitable & presumes none of the big earners are given away or worse paid off to cancel contracts)

I don't think they are quite up to irony yet. (I presume the Portsea ref was irony, right, Phil?)

Another great little quote from the News site from another intellectually and morally challenged skate, ref HMRC not agreeing to the CVA... Well if HMRC vote against us then they won't get anything. That would leave any new owner £11m better off. I am sure we can buy 2 decent strikers who will easily make up the 15 points in the Championship, for less than £11m. There are 8 more games to play in the CCC so we only need to win 5 of those !! (It's no wonder they idolised Storrie, Redflaps etc)

He can, but if the club does not pay its football debts in full it cannot get its 'golden share' to stay in the league
-
I could have sworn you were on the main site yesterday.......

I wish all you boys on this thread and those like it would come over to the mega Pompey takeover saga in the lounge. Seven pages of good debate wasted here.
-
Du-urrh! No it wouldn't.
-
Another little stat to cheer you up - 10 of our last 16 games are at home (& that is a fact)
-
You are a bad man, Saint Keith
-
I don't think it matters to the league - it is the 'football'club' wanting access to its leagues that matters, not who the owners are. By definition almost all clubs that go into admin end up being owned or titled differently when they come out the other end.
-
+ the £5million a month just to keep paying the wages/bills to keep the club functioning

Portsmouth Today online Neil: Pompey extended the deadlines for the consortium to prove they had the necessary funds in the bank yet Chainrai was never convinced. These talks lasted two solid days and had also been conducted weeks earlier. Having come so close, it was a massive shame something like that should force the deal to be abandoned. Quote of the thread imo
-
Corporate Ho: Look Nick, I fail to see why any Pompey fan should feel "shame" that an international gang of crooks have raped our club for every possible penny. We're victims here as much as anyone. And I wouldn't go as far as it's "ruined people's lives" - that's awfully dramatic. Not shame that they took over your club, but shame for your adoration of them, for your denials that your successes were funded by an arms dealer. But I do laugh at the ridiculous conspiracy theories on here. Just how have the PL "bent over backwards" to help us? Refusing to advance us our end of season cash is bending over backwards is it? Just what have they done to help us? They want us to keep going otherwise the league placings would be affected and I see nothing wrong with that - what else would they want? Not many would argue with that. Our problem with them is their sham FPP test that let all these charlatans in to fleece people. There's also a load of crap talked about our debt. Yes we owe £18m to HMRC but the rest of the £50m we owe is 90% made up of our "debts" to Chainrai and Gaydamak. No-one in their right minds believes we owe these two ******s anything like that amount and the media always conveniently omit to mention that we also have money coming into the club (parachute payments, outstanding transfer fees for Diarra, Johnson etc). I agree, it's not about the debts, but the running costs - £25million to be found before you can start reducing them significantly Lastly (and it's my last post today so don't expect any more) on Storrie - there seems to be a belief on here that most Pompey fans idolise him. A few dicks sang his name a while back but he's constantly been referred to as Storrie teller by most for as long as I can remember. People on here are great at taking one or two posts on a Pompey board and assuming that's the view of the majority. For my part, I believe nothing's ever as simple as black and white. Storrie should go because of what's happened to the club but I do know the hours he's put in whilst doing the job and the **** he's had to go through just to keep the club afloat. People say it's all his fault but his point about being just an employee does hold some water. If Gaydamak was saying don't worry and providing the money I don't really see what else Storrie was supposed to do other than suggest caution - which I know for a fact he did. But he's the CEO, it's been a mess and he has to go I agree that more peole are beginning to see the light over him, but he is a class one shyster. However I do acknowledge that this whole saga would have been half as much fun without such a pantomime villain popping up in the press every five minutes
-
I think he might be turning out for them before the end of the season
-
Regarding the conspiracy theory/ b@st@rds are going to get away with it again situation - crumb of comfort number one: even the Prem would now have to look pretty hard at any new alleged owner of a phoenix Poopey, and surely any tenuous link to those that rendered the club into admin would be reason enough to fail the FPP test. crumb of comfort number two: Poopey's problems are not really about debt but running costs. They need £20-25 million just to maintain themselves until the end of June and a max of £5-6 million of income. So excluding all the other debts someone has to be prepared to stump up circa £20 over the next five months And that second crumb is the one that I think will choke them
-
Forgive me if I'm being dense, but a) does a club in admin even get parachute payments & b) if it does, wouldn't they have to go to the creditors to pay off debts rather than funding a still-insolvent company, even if it's being run by an administrator?
-
I think we've just got involved in our own little soap opera here. Last year it was equally fascinating, but ultimately too personal, too painful to really enjoy, but this is just fun. T here are panto villains by the score, brave officers of the law, well HMRC anyway, poor downtrodden victims like PES & Mero, and always another twist or subplot to keep you interested. This thread could easily make 1000 pages & 50000 posts over the next year or two before Storrie, Redflaps & co are banged up, gaydy junior joins the old man in being extradited to Israel & Poopey finally drop out of league 2 following a home thrashing by Dagenham & Redbridge. (And incidentally, being the sad obsessive that I am, I had a look on the skate page on 606 last night and there were more Saints fans passing comment than there were skates! To all those lads - come on over here - you don't know the fun your missing.)
-
You have to read the small print with Storrie, quote: 'There will be cuts at all levels. That's something for the administrator to do to make sure the club keeps going. I will be taking a big cut as well. Some things never change
-
Note this quote from them: Soccernet have been predicting the club's chronic financial fall since September........ They have been the most pro-Storrie, pro-Skates news service of all, bigging up every hint of a bit of good news. No wonder they hit it off with Storrie - an almost spiritually shared love of spin & hatred of the truth.

Avram Grant will be happy in the Zamaretto league . I happened to notice that Zamaretto sponsor Secret Diary of a Call Girl. (I can't spend all evening every evening sat watching this site).
