  1. I actually don't think they could get shot of any of them - useless players on bonkers contracts are, as we found to our cost , are much less than worthless. Who else would pay Utaka £80k/week or Mullins £20k?
  2. Rallyboy: Lets look at the next six months for stability with some very 'back-of-an-envelope' maths..... £14M for wages and paye which I think they will ought to keep on top of! A bit of an understimate, I'afraid. Total monthly wage bill is approx £3 mill (& approx another £1 mill PAYE/NI) - so their wage bill is nearer £24 mill than £14 mill
  3. Maybe, but we'd never admit in public, much less get it printed
  4. Hideously. I think I have read all 257 pages, plus attachments. Oh my God, what am I doing with my life?
  5. I do hope Markus looks after himself, though & let's hope there is no history of heart trouble in the family. Supporting Saints is not good for the blood pressure
  6. Not clever enough to work it out, but would the debt for the mortgage be calculated including all future interest payments, or just the initial capital loaned?
  7. Looking at your avatar - and no offence mate - but that feeling might not be mutual:rolleyes:
  8. But the REALLY good news? this thread lasts another 9 days and should get close to 15,000 or so by then! You're having a laugh - 15000 by the weekend at the latest. I'm not sure my nerves will take another nine days. Nurse! I need a little lie down.....
  9. The turd that wil not flush.......
  10. If this thread goes on much longer I'll be heading to the High Court. I'm self-employed. How much money have I earnt today - not a penny. I have people waiting for me to call them back but I can't focus. It's a nightmare and another twenty-eight days could see me ruined. (And what happens if they give them three months, or six.........)
  11. I think we have a title for the book of the thread.....
  12. Maybe they have known all along that admin won't save them. It isn't a solution, just extends the time you get to sort things out. Apparently they are due some sky money at the end of May, but even optimistically it is £10million they are still fooked. They have seven home league games at (very optimistically) 20000 X £30, ie £4million, plus say another £1mill if they beat us and get a good cup draw. That is £15 mill max income until more Sky money in August. Out of that - £3 mill/month wages, plus another £1 mill/month to HMRC X 6 months = £24 mill. That excludes the £7.5 mill already owed to HMRC, other running costs, further instalments on transfers etc etc etc. Net assets of effectively zero (as per Portsmouth City Council). Even ignoring what any past or present owner might owe, how the hell can anybody consider them even close to being able to be solvent
  13. The latter-years MLT looked a bit like a pie

Are they still clinging to the belief that they can single-handedly change the VAT rules for the UK? Or is it just another stalling device? (Another month another £100K in Storrie's post-Parkhurst pension pot)
  15. To quote ESPN - Portsmouth offered to pay up some of the outstanding debt to the Revenue and also made offers to other businesses which planned to join the Revenue's winding-up order on Wednesday. That is interesting as well - obviously there were/are others jumping on the bandwagon at the last minute. I bet they haven't paid them, just made more vague promises based on a new owner. Basically Poopey are exploiting everyone's well-intentioned reluctance to be the one who finally pushes a football club over the edge, coupled with the threat that they won't see a penny if they do. Their debts are so huge that it is becoming like that old joke about Donald Trump - if you owe the bank a million you are in trouble, but if you owe them a hundred million it is they that are in trouble, not you
  16. Another interesting thing is that that Sunderland chap Nosworthy said he turned Poopey down, even after the clubs had agreed a loan fee of £250000 & there was an Egyptian whose club also turned them down after they offered £150000 loan fee. Presumably Spartak Moscow & Spuds got a loan fee, too. How the hell could they get away with that after the first WUO whilst now claiming they need more time to pay HMRC after already delaying the court case once. (And apparently they are about to sign another player today) Also, their wage bill must generate about £1million/month in NI & PAYE that keeps accruing. If they get away with this it will be the biggest p1ss-take of all time. Even more so if they stay up on other people's money.
  17. Come on admit it chaps - if you had £17 mill to burn wouldn't you want the best seat in the house to get a better look at the unfolding farce
  18. Assuming that they have only ever scratched enough together each month to pay the staff the net amount owing, presumably the debt to HMRC grows by about £1million per month in unpaid PAYE & NI.
  19. Don;t tell me that the phones are being repossessed!
  20. Well done Mr Crab Lungs. You are obviously a man with too much time on your hands.
  21. At the end of September we were still on -1 after 10 games. Since then we have played 18 W 10 D5 L 3. (Excluding 8 cup games that we have won or W 6 D 2 if you are being picky.) If you calculated our form since the end of Sept for the whole season it would be W 25 D13 L8 = 88 points. The problem is the -10 to start with then 10 games to still not get to zero. We have lost 3 games out of 26 in three months - get a grip.
  22. Oh when will the fun end? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11674_5919604,00.html
  23. I love this bit : I have a much better fealing about Chinari though...... we know he loves football, he's been to see us a few times this season........ He clearly wasn't there for the love of football
  24. Nobody here thought we had a divine right to be exempt or wanted to march on the League's headquarters, but certainly we would have been more than happy to get away with it. And nobody said it was anyone's fault but our own that we went into admin. There have been many, many posts on your sites saying it's the Prem's fault and they should save you - that is the difference
  25. Yes, but he's got that one adjourned for a year (and another million quid in his pocket).
