  1. We might next time as we are all hopeless liquidation junkies now.
  2. As we're being pedants today I think you'll find that, though it was the same quote, it was on here, not a skate site. I rest my case
  3. Or possibly - "I'm only in it for the publicity."
  4. Now, be honest, you just wouldn't get Dickens quoted on a skate site, would you?
  5. The words Storrie and basque in the same sentence should merit you being struck off this thread. I've just eatem my dinner ffs
  6. It's always that one tiny little detail that messes up all my brilliant plans. I think I will sleep easier tonight, thanks.
  7. Did he really say that or are you just trying to reassure us?
  8. I hope I never upset you.... If you ever get bored of following Saints I think there could be a vacancy for you in the Iranian government
  9. I have thought long and hard about whether I want them to survive or not and, though I'm a complete tart for this site and the tremendous fun that March 1st could bring, I have to say I hope that they survive. It struck me this morning, the thought that if they weren't there I wouldn't be able to taunt my skate-mate at work tomorrow, and that left me feeling hollow inside. (What is more beautiful than us winning against the league leaders as they let in a last minute goal to a man that hasn't scored for 8 years?) And thinking of him, it occurred to me that the genuine fans, who have turned up at that sh1t-hole through thick and thin don't really deserve it. I work with a Man U plastic and the skatey-boy & he and I were discussing the fact that the Man U 'fan' had gone to bed one night without knowing the Man U score and neither of us could ever imagine anything less than an edgy night by the radio whenever we played away. I remember how I felt last summer, too - I could more easily convert to Islam or divorce my wife (sorry, dear) than support another team after 40 years of emotional investment in Saints - and I wouldn't truly wish that pain on any genuine fan. (And the plastics wouldn't care anyway.) What I do want, though, is the natural order restored. We are and always will be bigger and better than them and the last few years have been sh1t. Seeing them crowing over their stolen cup as we went from bad to worse has scarred me, I admit it. I want to see them suffer as cheats should - they bought their success with other people's money and they should have to pay for their Faustian pact - though League One on -25 would probably suffice. And I want Redknapp & Storrie brought to justice for the good of the soul of football. They are at the heart of the rotten core of the Prem and their downfall will flush some of the other spivs and con-men out of the game. So survival, but a few years (alright, maybe decades) of misery would seem a fair punishment.
  10. I reckon by even a conservative estimate they need £35 million to see them through to the next Sky day. Wages (including PAYE etc) £4 mill/month for Feb/Mar/Apr/May/June, assuming most contracts run till 30th June when I believe that's when transfer windw opens - £20million HMRC demands for immediate payment - £11 million Payments due to other clubs etc, conservatively £5 million? General running costs, paying of angry creditors etc very conservatively £3 million Throw in another mill for anything I've forgotten and that is a MINIMUM of £40 million needed just to see the club through to the start of July. Income from 7 games (inc yesterday) of 6-7000 non-season tickets per game times average of £25 only equals about £1.25 million. Cup games could give them another £2 million if we are being charitable & possibly £2 million of money due on transfers out, making a grand total of £5 million until they get some sky money. Who the feck is going to cough that up to get a groundless CCC club with an overpaid, unshiftable squad and a sh1tload of continuing debt?
  11. That sounds strangely reminiscent of a quote by Storrie. I have to say your impending demise will bring me no great joy. I will miss the rivalry, the fun to be had in hating you all, and there would be much greater fun watching slowly decompose into a lower league one team over the next few years rather than one big catastrophe. On the plus side, though, an abrupt end to this thread would mean I could resume meaningful employment, family life and enjoy the daylight of spring.
  12. I thought that because he was the mortgage-holder he could actually claim it as his anyway if they defaulted on it
  13. Could you summarise for me. I've got a headache after trying to catch up with all this
  14. A little extreme maybe..... But then again, what the hell, go for it Tony, mate
  15. I just feel dirty and debased every time I read more of Storrie's weaselly words
  16. And then for the approprate ex-gratia payment to your favourite offshore account, lend them back for free
  17. I still think their masterplan is sell some-one, get the cash, then get him loaned back for the season
  18. Knowing how Poopey operate, they probably genuinely expect to be able to sell the player, get the new buyer to pay up front, then cover the wage bill while he is loaned back to them for free for the rest of the season because he can't play for his new team
  19. Boys, there WILL be two copies - one for Poopey, one for the judge
  20. I thought I read somewhere that after Chainrai came in she jumped back on the boardroom gravy train
  21. Just a long shot, but perhaps they printed two copies.....
  22. Treat yourself and have a top eleven
  23. The court said somebody had to prepare a statement of accounts, Poopey chose Vantis
  24. Something about this sketch reminded me of Peter Storrie
  25. One thing is certain with Poopey, every last step towards the grave will be a drawn out one complete with pleading and lying.
