I think it is just a technicality. How many players don't get a work permit - very few. And I have never heard of a manager not getting one.

Clever person please translate.... In the CVA proposal document administrators claim that HMRC is taking action against the unfair advantages by football creditors. "It is understood that a separate action is being initiated by HMRC against the football creditors rule, it is therefore not intended that a challenge to the football creditor rule will be undertaken by the future liquidators of the original company," it said. Also, the nickh conspiracy theorist in me wonders why they have chosen the 18th of June when the CVA meeting is on 17th

Just been for a look. The Prem just looks a littlle less soiled, somehow

Oh no! Handy Andy in not telling the truth shocker.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Coyle-denies-making-Nugent-bid.6334414.jp

Correct. Either the questions are too easy or we are too damned good. Off you go...
-
It wasn't - I just have a strange mind.... Okay, who was the first Saints player to be substituted, having come on as a substitute himself?
-
Frankie Bennett?

I wonder if we have an extradition treaty with UAE...... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1282972/Prince-Harry-Tottenham-boss-Redknapp-wanted-spearhead-Middle-East-shake-up.html

Yep. Someone already had Holmes (56 league goals), but Hoskins was the missing link, equalling 17 in total. Right, your go, Vectis Saint.
-
Sorry - Bates did. I reckon there is one more player. Next goal wins....
-
Bates, Stokes & Rod Wallace never made it to 50 league goals
-
By my reckoning Phil Boyer only had 49 league goals & Pat Parker never scored a goal for us
-
Crap reporting from Skate News. It was and still is 17th June. (17th July is a Saturday!!)
-
Do I win? And if so, how many players have scored 50 or more league goals since the war for Saints, and can you name them?
-
10 more - Blyth, Watson, Waldron, Osman, Moore, Dodd, Bond, Ruddock, Hall, Bale
-
For some reason Robbie Slater always scared me. A few other candidates, too - Uwe Rosler, Danny Higginbotham, Richard Chaplow, Dean Richards, Peter Reid, Terry Hurlock and, of course, Sammy Lee (who might only escape being the ugliest ever because of his lack of games).

It's because it has been the only Pompey thread so everything has gone on it for nearly a year. Most of the threads on the main board run for a week or two, we lose interest and a new one reforms asking the same question
-
We get it, but it still is both interesting and endlessly amusing. It's the close season ffs, there's no news elsewhere, so enjoy the soap full of unbelievable baddies and preposterous plot-lines for what it is.

I don't think he'll have a choice, assuming he wants to keep a football club going
-
And Beattie. Dopn't think Chivers played for England until long after he left us.
-
Since the war - I reckon Ellerington, Ramsey, Paine, Channon, Williams, Watson, Keegan, Danny Wallace, Armstrong, Wright, Shilton, MLT, Flowers, Shearer, Bridge & Crouch
-
I think we know who the new CE is, it's Pa Clampitt. The interestings questions are what is he there for and who put him there.
-
Pretty impressive stuff!

Not so close

Close, but no cigar
