Just goes to show how things change We lost 1-0 at home to newly relegated Plymouth who were one of the favoutites to return to the Championship Compare tehm and us now. We are doing well and Plymouth are in all sorts of financial difficulties, tonked 4-1 at home by Rotherham in Div 2 and next year could easily be a Non league outfit!!

City of Liverpool cruise terminal: Turnaround operations consultation
spyinthesky replied to Joesaint's topic in The Lounge
Couple of interesting facts. Liverpool has been given £2.5 BILLION worth of EU and UK state aid over the past 10 years or more Just a small bit of this would have helped regenerate Soton The £17m of EU and UK aid was actually given to Liverpool City Council who developed the Cruise terminal on land they own just up from the Liver Buildings Peel Ports did not benefit. Indeed they have their own cruise terminal aspirations within the actual port area -
Didnt the bookies make us early favourites for automatic promotion. I suppose on the premise that we would spend big I would take mid table security

I also have to trust Nigel Atkins but even the best managers make mistakes and believe Forte will be one of Atkins bloomers

I remember the disappointment of watching our first ever game in Div 1 when promoted in 1966 Dell capacity was then 30,000 and only 19,900 turned up v Man City We seem slow starters both on and off the field

The whole strike thing was made up ironically just after Portsmouth Dockers, who were part of a South Coast port union group, broke a strike which had been called to protect Plymouth Dockers A big group of soton dockers blockaded the commercial docks in Pompey and police had to intervene to protect the Pompey men Sam Charles, the brother of Bob Charles, was one of the Soton Dockers arrested think this may have been late 70's, early 80's

Going back to the Totton game, thought our back four looked solid and the lad from Plymouth a particularly useful player Shame the programme didnt show who was who

All gone to pot since David Luker left

Agree with comments re Puncheon Thought there were one or two decent performances from our youngsters surprised only 580 there

Dont suppose this has anything to do with the new printers for the match day programme

Is Ray Ranson still involved with SISU?
-
Can anyone pl remind me details of the failed SISU bid a few years ago Talking to some Coventry based mates Apparently SISU are despised up there as the club is reportedly losing £500k a month. Ken Dulieu (who was here for a while) apparently has turned up at training with a momogrammed training top (and labradors in tow) to provide 'advice' Unless ownership/finances this can be sorted quickly the spectre of admin and 10 points deduction is a possibility
-
Hmm!! Not so sure this end Is there a fee involved?

Chaps Thanks for your replies so far. Company is CP Plus who have a PO Box address in Borehamwood Incidentally they state they 'Operate in accordance with the BPA's code of practice (which I think requires a 'proper' address) but doesnt seem to be a member of the BPA The photo supplied shows me clearly entering the east bound side There is a very grainy shot 4 hrs 20 mins later just showing a set of headlights. Where this was taken from is unclear. What happened was I drove down thro the entrance originally and straight onto the M27. My wife drove down later in the evening. I guess that journey may have been captured on the exit camera but they have ignored the first one. As advised i shall ignore but it puts into question using the slip roads as i thoiught the cameras were inactive

I occasionally use the slip road to pop down to Rownhams sevices to buy odds and ends in the shop out of hours Never stay more than 10 mins but have received a parking fine indicating I had stayed over 4 hours. Anyone else had a problem there?
