However from there on in every shot at goal went in and I think we were 5-2 up at HT and scored our ninth with 15-20 minutes left with the crowd shouting 'We want 10' . If my memory serves me correct we hit the woodwork at least twice in the closing stages so nearly reached the magical double figure. A few of us went up to Molineux for the reverse fixture when Dave Webb scored on his debut. We then went undefeated for the rest of the season and won our first ever promotion to the top division.

If my memory serves me correctly Newcastle was the last home game we played at SMS in front of our raucous support. Djneppo got sent off and McCarthy saved a penalty only for Valery to have an aberration near the end which prevented us from hanging on for a creditable 0-0 draw.

Agree. He seems to have pace and a physical presence. Just a tad concerned about his full on tacking style which could end up with free kicks/penalties or a host of cards a la Romeu.

Talking about feeder clubs, I have always thought that a link up with Le Havre might do us some good. Twin cities (or at least used to be) and Le Havre have never been much above French Second Division but have produced some decent players through their ranks over the years.

I wasn't particularly inspired by the signing but I reckon he should provide more overall benefit to the team that the 'mercurial' talents of Boufal. I have to say that if Theo can perform as well on the pitch as he did in the Saints FC interview (in which he came over as a pleasant, intelligent and well spoken individual) I think we might have a diamond, but only time will tell.
