I'll certainly be watching, it'll be the best international football tournament in 2012. Always entertaining. As fish fingers rightly (rare for him) points out, new intrigue this year as there are so many new teams and many 'bigger' nations haven't qualified for the tournament. It is more open than ever before. You'd think this is the best chance for the Ivorians, but it could be a year for a nation such as Mali to come to fore and take the spoils.

Are any West Country fans planning to drive up to the away games at Leeds and Blackpool, which are now impossible to do by train in day thanks to tv? I'd be most happy to contribute to petrol funds for a lift. I'm based in Bath, but could get train to Bristol Parkway for easier pick-up if necessary. Know another fan in Cheltenham who might well be interested as well. He may even reply to this thread.

Blayney currently at Linfield in Irish League. Saw their game with rivals Glentoran on TV in November, and he made a few errors in that one!

Was terrible. Caused me no end of hassle and took a large percentage of the enjoyment out of the day. I don't need to be treated like a child and kettled for 5 hours, I'm perfectly capable of making my own way to and from games without getting involved in any trouble. The police will call it a success, but I would stop going to football if all games were like that, and I will seriously consider not going should they use it again from Fratton. If people want to go by coach that is fine, and the coaches had a police escort on two most recent previous occasions. Some of the responses to this thread are symptomatic of Britain today, with everyone far too easily willing to obey 'authority' without question. At least Spt Burrows will have to explain away two flares/smoke bombs in his report.

Bus 8. With fish_fingers. This thread is ghey.

Are people still waiting for Pompey ticket email?

Similar situation, collected 4 from 1st ballot today, but 2 from second ballot (for mates) or order history but no e-mail so can't collect. Living in Bath this isn't helpful in the slightest. No information on whether they will be open Sunday morning or not, I just told them it "wasn't very helpful". -
Typical useless post from the forum racist.

And I've now received a second e-mail (about the same transaction) with the safety letter!
-
Hurrah for the e-mail! Now for the discussion about if the e-mails are being sent in batches....
-
I have tickets on my purchase history. I am assuming that the bus time is just a catch-all time for system purposes, and that the e-mail (which will presumably be sent to everyone at the same time, so after the 2nd ballot) will give the more detailed information. I'd expect that the departures will likely be stagged between 10 and 12, but that is little more than a guess.

Handed application in in person, but until money goes/e-mail arrives etc there is still that annoying nagging doubt that something has gone wrong!!

Off to Larkhall Athletic v Odd Down in FA Cup. A North-South Bath derby!

Have been at Taunton for the last three days, for a rather good performance from Hants. The Adams/Carberry partnership wasn't chanceless, in particular two big caught behind shouts for Adams off Kirby, but there was some really good batting and they never tried to force anything, which is what got them through. McKenzie got a cracking delivery, Vince went trying to get the bonus point, Ervine was excellent and unfortunately seemed to get a really good ball from Willougby. Bowlers all done well. For me, especially if we go down, would rather see Tomlinson, Wood, Griffiths and Balcombe forming basis of next year's attack. Shame we couldn't finish it off today, but Mascarenhas had a fantastic little battle with Meschde at the end - at one point he had 4 slips and 3 gullys in place! - and deserved that wicket.
-
Largest Hampshire partnership for any wicket!
-
This is now Hants record partnership for 3rd wicket! Have we clearly prepared a dull, lifeless pitch just to spite the ECB?!

Mike Rockefeller has had a huge crash in one of the other Audi's, also being clipped by a slower car, but this one really did look the fault of the car he was lapping. Another hour or so under the safety car.

Uwe got 5 goals for Saints, 4 in friendlies. Mansfield away in the League Cup was his only competitive goal, last goal at Dell, two in the opening game at St Mary's and a goal away at Le Havre in a January friendly where we lost 3-1. We lost the 'home leg' 2-0. I went to the home game, but not yet met anyone who will admit to having gone to Le Havre on, I think, a Friday night.

Looks like J33 is the further we'll travel on the M4 next season.

All about the Miller Lite with the vortex bottle, isn't it?
-
Nothing yet. The tension is unbearable.
-
I agree with this comment. It is possibly the worst away game ever. Although I have seen us draw there.
-
Best: Brighton Worst: Orient (non-footballing reasons) or Swindon (millions of police everywhere, rubbish town, rubbish pubs, rubbish game)
-
Got 5 on order history but not arrived yet. Hope they do soon!!

I can't PM royce, and am sorted for tonight, but could very well be interested in future. Live in Bath but work in Bristol.
