First time I've seen Pulis was tonight. He didn't have the greatest game, but I'm not going to say he's total dross after 70 minutes (if that) of a pre-season game.

Regardless of whether or not Molyneux is any good (I thought he did OK tonight), Saints fans recently have an absolutely terrible judgment of whether a player is any good or not. My general view is, if the vocal Saints fans don't rate them, they are more than likely a good player.

Rasiak came on and looked interested, which was good. Paterson linked up well with him. Gillett had a good second half in midfield, reads the game very well. Wayne Thomas decent enough, against two difficult strikers. Lallana wide right didn't work. I think he is going to have to be a forward player, rather than a midfielder.

Disappointed he's left us, and agree with Chez's comments.

Waste of £1.

An excellent horse.
-
I will be very impressed if it manages that in a 6 horse race!

By the way, I hope everyone books their train tickets via the train company itself (you can book London to Carlisle via SW Trains as well!), rather than using thetrainline.com or raileasy.co.uk ?? Absolutely no booking or postage fees if you go with train company direct.

Let's hope he's off soon.

You can't panic 1 game into a series. Sure, it wasn't great, but major change won't help anything now. My XI would be: Strauss, Cook, Bopara, Pietersen, Collingwood, Prior, Flintoff (if fit), Swann, Broad, Anderson, Onions. Close call between Onions and Harmison. If Flintoff is out then Harmy in because you need a bowler who can bang it into the pitch. You are then taking a risk by shortening the batting order, but think that is a risk you would have to take.

Just felt like a celebration, really. Any excuse for a Kronenbourg. Anyone got any Bastille Day stories to tell?

What about Graeme McDowell?

This thread would be more suited to the betting forum. Oh.

Wow. Seems I was sat next to you!! Amazing. Also had some pork pies and an excellent selection of rolls. Spooky.

I am going. Hurrah. I will probably regret it after 25 minutes.
-
Yeh, and it didn't rely on 7 horses falling for it to finish second, either.

Was a decent meeting - the track was certainly a lot better than it was at Vojens on Saturday night. Agree Kennet will surely be out for Richardson (who seemed quite c*cky about it all when being interviewed), and also wonder if they might drop Woffinden for Nicholls?

With an hour left to go both captains have agreed to take the draw.

Yes, as per my earlier post days 1-3 had 104 overs, and day 4 was only 90. Now it is 96 overs per day.
-
Apparently it is now 96 overs a day, and time can only be made up on the day it is lost. Therefore 96 overs today and play will finish at 6pm.
-
I thought they'd reduced it slightly this year? It always used to be 104, 104, 104, 90. Now I believe it is 96 overs each day. Could be more today because of time lost due to rain. I shall check.
