Just noticed that about 50% of the adverts on Sky seem to be for golfing holidays (mainly in Portugal) at the moment. Do many people actually go on golfing holidays? And do they play 36 holes of golf a day, or is it just a p*ss up?!

I was thinking this as well. It's quite a difficult question to answer, really. Are we talking a "one-off achievement", or a career of greatness? Armstrong's 7 Tour wins is great, especially having beaten cancer, but he never attempted a serious challenge at the other grand tours, or the one day classics.

In terms of a career, I think Eddy Merckx cycling record is probably the greatest sporting career of all time. In terms of a one-off achievement, that's a bit tougher to pin point. Will have to have a think. For a team achievement, I'd go for the 1972 Miami Dolphins, and their 'perfect season'.

I left with 10 minutes to go. Wouldn't do it for a competitive game, but it was a friendly and had got very boring by that point. By leaving 10 minutes early I got back to Bath an hour earlier than I would have done otherwise. I'm pretty sure our new owner and staff can understand people leaving a friendly before the end!

I once had a morning meeting with quite senior people in local NHS and council about anti-binge drinking. I went out the night before and was drinking Sharps Special Ale until about 1am. Throughout the whole meeting I had a splitting headache, the beer sweats and minor shakes.
