I bought some fig rolls yesterday...forgot how good they were. They go down rather well with a mug of tea. Must've been years since I've eaten one. Anyone else a fig roll fan?

Not convinced, but would be interesting. The advantage for me is that I know that coming back by plane I can be in work on time Wednesday morning, something that couldn't happen if I went by train.

Is a season ticket tie up with a local non-league team possible?
bungle replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Not up to us, is it. It's up to the non-league team if they want to let people into their ground for free. Interesting move by H&W, and it might well get them some extra cash through catering sales etc. But it would have been their call, not P*mp*ys. -
Good to see Crawley batting at his usual barnstorming pace!

No idea. Never thought to ask.

Isn't Taylor on a one-day contract? I know this doesn't prevent them from playing him, but presumably they'd have to give him more money if they did? Would rather see an improving youngster in the CC if I'm honest, but accept Taylor could do a job.

F*ck off you xenophobic tw*t.

Well, the idiot brigade are certainly out in force on this thread. Edit: I posted this before seeing the post above. But the post above is the worst of all.

50 for the opening wicket (53-0 currently). I see Lumb has been dropped, which is interesting. Am quite happy with the bowling attack, Tomlinson is probably our best seamer in the Championship, and Griffiths did alright last year if I recall. Probably resting a few due to game vs Yorkshire starting Tuesday.

ESPN to show (football wise): English, Scottish, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian and MLS all live!

First of two back-to-back LVCC games (real cricket). Starts at 11.30 today due to late finish last night. Hampshire: Adams, Carberry, Crawley, Vince, Ervine, Dawson, Mascarenhas ©, Burrows (W), Griffiths, Tahir, Tomlinson Lancashire: Horton, T Smith, Loye, Laxman, du Plessis, Chilton, Sutton (C/W), K Hogg, Parry, Newby, Keedy Hants win the toss and bat. Forecast looks good for 4 days, and we really need a win.

It's a secret.

Just bought 3 tickets behind the goal.

I must have missed that one at Forest...

Ashes Cricket 2009 arriving soon (bought with Amazon as £5 cheaper than play.com, but not sure when it will be dispatched).
-
Easyjet "sale" ends tonight apparently, so might be worth booking flights from Bristol today (assuming that's best place for you to go from?). The actual cost for my flight was -£2!
-
Makes sense to be honest- why open a full ground when you don't need it? Where will the Northampton fans be housed (i.e. does anyone know where they put the Hearts fans?)?
-
It's not about the winning, Ponty, it's the taking part that counts.

Ordered Ashes 2009 on wii from Amazon for £25 (£5 cheaper than play.com). One dodgy review on there, but m3h.

If you can phone up and ask which ones are available then that would save me a job. Thanks.

Can't believe Trott will play, but there has to be a chance Sidebottom will come in for Broad or Freddie (if unfit)?
-
Not worth going without the monkeys, IMO. Take the kids to Monkey World instead.
