It's an easyjet flight from Bristol, but it leaves at 8am, so you won't be able to get there in time by train from Southampton.

Just booked my flights, £26 return from Bristol. Bargain. Due to difficulties in getting back to Newcastle after the game, the main board/bored thread had discussion over either: a) hiring a car b) booking a big taxi back to Newcastle. Perhaps this would be a good thread to guage numbers and consider booking something?

Usually with free bet offers, the free bet either doesn't become available until the original bet has been settled, or you have to use it on a different market. There used to be a betting forum for this kind of query, but I can't spot it anymore...

Why? If we get this next wicket (undoubtably the key one), then we hit a debutant wicketkeeper, followed by the bowlers. Draw is favourite, but England certainly have a chance.

NO. No. No. And more NO. When did football become so pathetic that we couldn't make a proper atmosphere ourselves? And anyone who hits the panels at the top of the stand should be banned as well.

Why? Sure, a draw is the favourite, but there are still 69 overs left to be bowled today. If we can get the Aussies out for around 300 either side of tea, then we will have 35-40 overs to chase 180ish. Not impossible. The match certainly hasn't had a draw all over it since day 1, but that the utterly pointless, depressing, negative attitude I have come to expect from people.

Thinks pubs often do lasagne with chips, but won't expect it in an Italian. Still, I quite like lasagne and chips. Hmmm.

Weekend in review: Fri- Recover from silly Thursday drinking session. Watch St Helens vs Wigan Sat - Wedding in Salisbury. Lots of drinking Sun - Return home with hangover. Sit on sofa and watch cricket.

Managed to nip down the pub at half 12 and catch the awesome spell by Anderson. Dellday, he is not a successor to Freddie, he is a very different bowler who relies a lot more on swing. His attitude, however, is 1st class as shown by his bowling effort in the WIndies earlier this year. But whereas Freddie really relies on effort, pace and accuracy, Anderson is a much more complete bowler.

I see that today we have reached the pivotal moment of the Ashes. Australia have thrown it all away.
