What an idiot.

That isn't the point you were making though, is it? You were lambasting the guy that saved our club (putting £16million of his own money in up front), for not going around spending millions upon millions. FWIW, I much prefer the way he is going about it.
-
Guess you'd rather not have a football club then? Either that or didn't read the fact we'd be run as a business? That or you failed to realise that our owner had to pay £16million up front for the club. You are mad.

Anyone know the penalty for breaching the rules?
-
Excellent news he is off, and shows his true colours if moving to a club purely for money, rather than a higher league for a better chance at playing internationals.

Bought some haslet from co-op deli counter on Sunday. Very disappointed with it. Not much flavour.

Hurrah!

All quiet on the Western front. Everyone lost all their money? 3.10 Newton Abbot Toby Jug

This pub (despite refurb) will never change. It is a dump.

Seeing as such an important part of the away day is the pub (except for those who use the travel club, I guess), thought it might be good to discuss the best pubs so far this season. Perhaps we could even try to decide on the best of the year come next May?! Rules are, you can only nominate pubs you have visited this season (so no commenting on pubs for games we haven't had yet, they may have got better/worse!). Also, note that the Antigallican in Charlton is NOT a good pub. Two pubs quite high up the list for me already. The Grove in Huddersfield was good, if a little quiet, but for it was beaten by The Crown in Stockport which had 16 excellent ales and had a bit more of a football atmosphere inside, with Stockport fans about as well.

I don't want to stand infront of someone sitting, and I never do. Sounds like you have a problem. Why not just sit 2 rows from the back, the view will be just as good, and there won't be any issues?
-
No, you have a word with yourself. If the fans who want to sit down just left a gap (2-3 rows) or one block for those who want to stand up, there would be no problem. However, our fans who just want to sit down (and that is their choice) just make things difficult by sitting right at the back and then lambasting anyone who dares consider making some atmosphere. One of the stewards yesterday said that Leeds fans NEVER get made to sit down, simply because they all stand up in en masse. Our away support is quite pathetic, but if those fans who arrive at 2pm and sit in the back row just thought for a second then there would be less of a problem.

Yes, Ervine's wicket was very strange, although I missed the shot as I was leaning over to fold up my copy of the Guardian, I glanced up in time to see him tread on his stump. Very unfortunate. Comedy moment was Lumb launching one straight into the sky, only for bowler and fielder to both sprint for the catch and then bail out, leaving the ball to drop about 5 yards from Lumb! Spinners in the morning session, so obviously a turning wicket, which will hopefully suit Tahir. Going again tomorrow.

http://www.metcheck.com has bright sunshine for tomorrow, and good weather for Friday.

Hey, as I've said, I don't think their quality is good enough, but why is it fair to criticise someone's effort when that is probably the one thing they are putting in. I'm not saying they should be played, just I think the poster who made these comments is seriously misguided. Interestingly, Wotton put in a good performance last night, and perhaps having Hammond competing for his place will up his game.
-
Saw a bit on TV before the Saints game. Griffiths doesn't usually bowl in one day games does he? But an excellent performance from him. I am going along tomorrow and Friday.
-
Well, you once again show you know nothing about football. Paul Wotton is awful, and shouldn't be playing, but the one thing no-one can criticise is his effort. He just isn't very good. And Lancashire may not be the greatest, but again I can't see how he doesn't care. The modern day football fan, who knows very little (which is you), seems to confuse lack of ability with lack of effort. Never mind though, you embarrass yourself with every post.

Was planning on visiting the The Railway Inn (about a mile from the ground) where there is a beer festival on all weekend. Bristol Rovers fans recommended it as a good ale pub, also.

Having been part of the Setanta bundle on Sky, Racing UK is now a standalone channel costing £20-per-month. Will anyone subscribe?!

LOL.

I see we've reached the decisve day of the Ashes today. Australia throwing it all away.
-
Same old thicko Saints fans, not a clue what they're on about.
-
Even IF they got less than 132, there is no way we should enforce the follow-on, it would be very stupid.

Harmison in for Broad I reckon.
