Why a minimum? Why not "stop personal digs"? The level of outright nastiness on most threads in this forum has spoiled many a good football discussion.

I'm Adam Lallana and it's in my nature to be supersonic

Surprised he didn't scuff the shot... -
PRE-SEASON: UE Llagostera vs Southampton
OttawaSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That is a weak trolling effort, even for you (mind you if the Dowie/Hurlock thread is anything to go by, I'm not surprised). -
That's better from Alpine and he's gone!!!
-
Trott gone on 48! 124/4 C'mon Alpine, where the **** are you?

Are we wasting time going for unrealistic transfer targets ?

I know I was being sarcastic. Those two are a credit to the forum and humanity. -

Another thread ruined by the tag-team bullying of Sanchez and Turkish. Pathetic really. -

Fingers in plenty of pies, Saints are doing it the right way. When you apply for a job do you just send one application at a time to jobs that you think you are good enough for or do you send out plenty of applications at the same time perhaps to a few that you think are unlikely but might bite? -
Brilliant performance the pressure must have been immense. Well done Andy, he has done Britain proud.

A couple of bites for Turkish already and I for one and licking my lips in anticipation of what Dalek's schtick will be this year... Alpine on mid-season form too.

Saints' kits through history (+other striped teams)
OttawaSaint replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
For me it's the admiral kits of the 70s. I wish they could re-create that in a modern strip. Looking at the other team's kits our Hummel (wide stripes) is virtually identical to Sunderland's Hummel from 1991-94 and I recall that both Villa and Coventry (as well as Denmark) wore the same template as us in the first hummel strip, so it's not just nowadays that they work off a template. -
People seem to have forgotten that in the last few months of Strachan's tenure we were actually pretty poor, players showing a lack of fitness and mental strength.

Phew, thought Dune and his tough mates had got you mid-sentence...
-
pasture's new what?
-
Richard Hall Jason Dodd Matty Oakley Carlton Palmer Neil Shipperley Iain Dowie
-
Had they done just that, there'd still be *****ing and whining about the shade of red, thickness of stripes, cost, number of stripes, detail badge, numbers etc. People love to have a good moan and Saintsweb as a whole seems to excel at it...
-
We went away from stripes for most of the 80s so why is that a problem now? [disclaimer: I don't consider the rank xerox/air florida kits or the Danish hummel to be "traditional stripes".]
-
Clever ploy by the club, those wanting stripes will be frothing at the mouth to buy a shirt when they finally bring them back....with a hefty hike in the price...
-
Apparently our 5 glitzy new signings are going over to Alpine's for a cup of tea and a chat...

A serious post - the club acting disgracefully.

Bad form from SFC. If you get into the paper can you promise to have a picture taken that is even more epic than that one with Kirk from Corrie and his dad in the sash kit? -
" You know you could "aim" for the bullseye but be a reasonably good archer and think that you'd likely hit one of the inner rings "near" the bullseye and be happy with the result.

Pretty funny. Dalek had his 39 points thing on a clipboard and copied and pasted it into about 5 different threads. Even after it was explained time and time again that the likelihood of ALL the games going against us was 1000/1. There's one thing getting a bit nervous about relegation when it looks like it is so close, but another thing to spam the board for 3 weeks every single day.

Corner and free kick specialist in the summer please Mr Cortese!
-
This. You could enjoy the lead up to the 3pm kickoff even if your team wasn't playing and then pick a team for the match safe in the knowledge that the season was done and dusted and injuries/suspensions etc would not effect the plight of your own club. Used to be a friends and family occasion like the superbowl over here where you all get together and cheer on a team just for fun. Now I barely notice when it is and it if I do it usually turns out to be a rather drab affair.
