Are you all loking forward to hearing the "there's been a heatwave but it's minus 10 in southampton" joke? Thankfully i was working today and have now got it over with.
-
You could be our new chairman.
-
It's not how much you have it's how much you spend.
-
I want to support Saints properly again, but if he returned i couldn't do it.

1st choice - Chris Marsden 2nd choice - Jim Magilton
-
Lowe and Wilde losing their money.
-
Put fag in mouth, light fag, smoke fag. It's really quite simple.
-
If Lowe was included in a potential Scott takeover then he'd only leak this story with Tom Scotts permission. I can see no reason why Tom Scott wants it leaking. Therefore my feeling is that this could just be a bitter and twisted attempt from Lowe to upset the apple cart.
-
It is the Daily Mail. I wouldn't put it past Lowe to get his mate to add the bit about Lowe returning just to wind the peasants up.
-
I think more to the point why would Tom Scott want to involve a cross between Gerald Ratner and Gordon Brown in this venture? Surely he'd realise what a negative effect Lowe would have on ticket sales.
-
I could accept Richards back, i could even accept Cowen and Askham (he'll soon be dead/in a nursing home anyway) back, but if he ever brought Lowe back that'd be it for me.

http://www.thisisguernsey.com/2007/04/03/scott-marches-into-the-saints/ Scott marches into Saints - Old story GUERNSEY businessman Tom Scott has bought a major stake in Southampton Football Club - and may be trying to buy it outright. The boss of CI Traders has purchased £253,000-worth of shares in Saints’ parent company, Southampton Leisure Holdings plc. Mr Scott, a business associate of former club director Mike Richards, is now believed to hold 550,000 shares in the Championship giants. Of those, ex-Saints chairman Rupert Lowe’s father, Patrick, sold 300,000. Sources close to the club said today that they thought Mr Scott might be building a position with a view to winning outright control of Saints, currently seventh in the league. As executive chairman of CI Traders, the Channel Islands’ largest company, with a stock market value of about £230m., 62-year-old Scott is one of the most prominent businessmen in Guernsey and Jersey and has a reputation for astute deal-making. Mr Scott left school at 15 and is now said to be worth £100m. He made most of his money through the International Energy Group, which he sold for £200m. two years ago. Former Saints director Mr Richards - a supporter of Mr Lowe during last summer’s takeover battle - was chief executive of IEG. Former Saints chairman Guy Askham, who also backed Mr Lowe last summer, was a non-executive director of IEG before the Guernsey-based company was taken over by Australian venture capitalists Bab**** and Brown Infrastructure in 2005. CI Traders has a partial monopoly on food retailing in the islands and a statement to the Stock Exchange last Friday revealed that it is the subject of a takeover offer. In response to persistent speculation, CIT confirmed it was in ‘advanced talks with a party which may, or may not, lead to an offer for the group’. If Mr Scott were to relinquish his position as executive chairman of CI Traders, of which he is believed to own 17%, he would have more time - and money - to focus on a new project - potentially Southampton FC. He has been to St Mary’s to see the Saints in the past but is not the close friend of Mr Lowe he has been reported to be in the national press. A Guernsey-based Saints fans today welcomed the news as their club pushes for promotion back to the Premiership. Andre Austen, who has supported the Saints for 30 years, said: ‘Guernsey has a good strong historical link with Southampton and as a fan I think it’s brilliant. If he is a football man and wants to dabble in the sport, it’s great that he has picked Southampton.’

That explains the donations then doesn't it. We should have known these reptiles were up to something.
-
I mentioned about Tom Scott donating £1,000 the other day and asked why alarm bells were ringing but no-one answered. If he's a mate Lowes then he can **** right off with his bid as far as i'm concerned.

Sod that. "I've got shed that's bigger than this" will quite rightly be sung at every away ground we visit. Who cares if every other club hates us for it, it's the attitude we need to have so that our players know what we expect of them.

The reality of being a noddy club is now starting to sink in.

For the first time in years I've got a big smile on my face.

I think it's great that the magic circle of super fans don't know what's going on. During previous "takeovers" they did my head in with their look at me i'm ITK antics. -
You can be the second bestest.
-
I've been to 1 home game all season and it's thanks to fans like me that Lowe is now gone. Therefore i nominate myself as the bestest fan.

I'm not sure it was raining at that stage? I know it was after though as i got soaked down to my boxers.

This was discussed about a week ago. Do keep up.

It's quite amusing reading though.
