If RC did indeed say that I think you can assume it to be factual.Perhaps a little embroidered but basically correct.
-
The FL accountants can't be very forensic if they're not expected to see a gaping hole in the club's finances that hasn't been revealed to them though. I have always been optimistic about Saints, 1999,last year, early on this year, but this time I think we're screwed and that what we see and think we know is just the tip of an iceberg. I think fans have shown themselves far too fickle to impress investors, Man U fans didn't like the idea of the Glaziers but they still filled OT from day 1.

Wouldn't doubt it, we have no money and Saturday is our last chance to get any. Salaries due next week so we'd need upwards of 500K just for that I'd guess, let alone paying bills and stuff. Looks like we're stalling over Dyer again (Swansea must be offering to pay in beer mats and bottle tops I suppose). So no money.
-
You'll never play here again. Looks like that may come back to haunt us with Carlisle doesn't it.
-
What a pair of wuthering heights, must be a later day photo, looks a bit anorexic there, apart from the whs that is.
-
Have you looked at Burley's trail record. Ipswich,Derby,Southampton all in admin within roughly a year of him leaving I believe.
-
What I see of Redknapp is 42 points from 23 games at Tottenham in the Premier League, that's bloody good going.
-
I reckon if things stay as they are tonight and Forest get a point on Saturday about 10000 people will actually turn up at SMS on Saturday.Because we will have been relegated for sure, maths or no maths.
-
Indeed. Harry Redknapp knows football, he's done great things with all of his clubs except us, that's because amateurs were tinkering and pulling handles just to see what would happen if they did, or because they just couldn't help doing it, like those old bags who have to meddle in everything and anything. We wasted the talents of one of football's finest managers, more fools us.
-
Seemingly but what did you all expect. There was 1 match this season that was a "must win", at home to the bottom team, we lost miserably and that was the end of that.
-
Give it up, it was over 17 days ago.
-
But the fact is Charlie that the club has destroyed itself, bad management, bad football, bad decisions and even some bad fans. I just don't see that we should expect former players to give us a hand up. Nor fans because there is no guarantee whatsoever that the donations will fund the continuity of the club. Why should Wayne Bridge and James Beattie who played valiantly for a long time for less than average Premiership salaries fund the continued existence of wasters like Euell??? Who earns more for doing absolutely f*ck all than they ever did for providing great football for the fans.
-
Perhaps everybody should chip in and buy her a new Bentley just to cheer her up.
-
Who will cut us off if we don't pay I presume, should give us Electricity for free and settle for shirt sponsorship or something.
-
Correct because you don't know where it will end up or if it will have any effect whatsoever. It's too late now, your money will be gobbled up by vultures. The club owes money, whatever you give will go towards paying the people it's owed to.
-
why should they? sorry I don't get all this stuff. If any of my old employers were in the deep dubbin I doubt that I'd dob them money. We made 7 million £ out of Wayne Bridge, 6 million out of James Beattie, that money has been thrown down the drain of hiring mediocre players, why should the lads give us money? Did they ask the fans not to turn up this season ? did they f*ck.
-
Indeed it will, the money just doesn't go round like it used to. Why spend 5 million on a CCC player when you can get a 15 year old from Portugal for a third of that. How many CCC to Premiership transfers have there been this season? genuine question, not loaded.
-
Yes but Hull is out of the way and geographically isolated,Darlington must be about 25 miles from Newcastle,Sunderland and Middlesborough . Building a 25K seater stadium for an urban population of about 97K with 3 premiership clubs in easy access distance is just plain cranky.
-
We're not mathematically down yet so they haven't decided.More rope is required. Depends if we've paid Bournemouth and Notts county what we owe yet, doubt it myself, unless the FL have docked that from our TV money as suggested.
-
Given that we did 7 years at the City's Grammar schools those days... Martin Chivers is the oldest. And I was in the 1st form then, because I started a year early, aged 10

We are longstanding loyal fans who actually watched Saints when they were atrocious and then again when they were really good. We are the been there, done that of Saints supporting. Before it was all about money and stars and recruiting 11 year olds from the slums of Lagos, I even went to school with at least 5 Saints players, who could say that now?.
-
I see Darlington have had to extend the offer period, nul prosequi apparently. Looks bad for them, 25K ground as well, tinpot club with a big ground, doesn't make much sense really.
-
Nah, it was a sort of fruit machine ticket made of coloured thick paper that the supporters club sold to help the club back in the 70's. I used to sell them, Dart's Night at the BP was a real money spinner for the club. Probably cost 10p but I couldn't be sure on that. If you got 3 Oranges you made quite a bit I think. But I do remember Golden Goal, thought they only sold them at the ground though.
-
Remember those Fruit Machine tickets made out of thin cardboard??
-
Perhaps he just doesn't want to throw in money that will eventually end up in the pocket of some accountant or other or even worse Barclay's Bank. I'd want a guarantee that not one bent penny of my money went to Barclay's Bank. ...or Rudi Skacel
