Now I seem to remember(from the above) that McGoldrick came here in the summer of 2004, ie when he was 16. Would he have been able to sign a pro-contract with County at that age? There would be no theoretical entitelment to a fee if he didn't have a contract with them, we may have done "the right thing" by them and given them something (albeit over time) like Arsenal did with us for Walcott. But that we owe them 400K still for a league 2 unknown 16 year old is absolutely laughable, we wouldn't have promised them a quarter of that.
