But really this is just crazy desperate talk. We have strikers, let them strike. Putting a CB up front for a whole half would just lead to endless high ball pumped into the box to be gobbled up by the opposition defence and keeper who would pump the ball straight down the field to hit our defence with wave after wave of attacks until we finally cave in; It's what happened with the JP system, no ball holding in midfield and attack=get hit on till you crack.

Anyone who has missed an open goal or an easy chance when a 1-O win instead of a 0-0 draw would have made all the difference. It's as basic as that. I blamed the players 100% last time, this time they may only get credited with 90%.

Lallana should be loaned out somewhere, Salisbury or Mottisfont should be about his level. Why we persist with the bloke I've no idea, we should have taken any offer that was made for him and got ourselves a midfield player.
-
Yep that's it, we're paying 2 "strikers" a total of £24000 a week and we have to try to get either a free transfer or an on loan centre half to score goals for us. Sums us up really.
-
I just wish we'd got that £5 million that someone was supposed to be paying us for him. With 5 million swans we could get a whole team of Lallanas and still have enough left over to pay off half of our overdraft. The fact that we didn't take tends to indicate that it was an urban myth.

I see that Davies has started dropping players because he doesn't think their "lifestyle" is suitable;Just what you need to build up a team when you're up sh*it street. There's a time for everything, trouble is it probably isn't just now.

The theory goes that if you've got a non-combattant but gifted attacking midfielder (like Lennon or Walcott) you stick in an extra defensive midfielder to do his share of the tracking back and ball recovery and just let the said midfielder get on with the sharp end.If said midfielder isn't making it happen up at the front then he's not up to the job and you replace him with 2 less gifted but more aggressive attacking midfielders and drop off one of the defensive midfielder. We really need to get away with this idea of RM CM and LM, midfielders come in 2 types, defensive and attacking, other than that they should be here, there and every f*ckingwhere.

Davies may be making far too many changes at a time where regularity and consistency may be more useful. Gunter will take time to adjust to the pace of the Championship game and frankly the situation they're in can't make it any easier; don't really understand Notts F, they started getting better results after Davies took over then he started changing everything and they've cracked up completely. Too much, too late probably sums it up.

Good to see that some-one knows that You'll Never Walk alone comes from the musical Carousel and isn't a little ditty dreamed up by some Liverpool yob. I had some-one insisting that Smoke Gets in you Eyes was Motown the other day.

perhaps we were already cutting win bonuses and appearance fees.
-
Depends on the other results.A draw would be a good effort if all the others lose.We need to beat Charlton and Palace at home that's for sure.

Trying desperately to turn stocks into cash I expect. Didn't the high street stores all do that round Christmas?

Schneiderlin is injured(again).

Rudi is probably trying like hell to get himself another club this summer. Don't think he has the spark that he once had but he isn't letting us down just now. Maybe you're all underestimating the negative impact of QPRs cadenaccio midfield system,or midfield thuggery, depending upon how you see it.
-
Saving money perhaps or that they only made enough for their average sales As there were a couple of thou more perhaps there weren't enough to go round. Club obviously can't afford to waste money on anything just now.

I coach a bit, I've seen plenty of Lallana's in my time, all they do is flatter to deceive, what you see at 16/17/18/19/20 is all there is, there's nothing else,no room for improvement, no extra gear. To me lallana has basic technical flaws, particulary that he can't kick the ball correctly if he doesn't have 3/4 of an hour to do it. It is not instinctive, he's not a natural footballer

What for, everyone knows I don't rate Euell anyway, he's far too erratic to be really useful. Surman has missed 2 sitters in 2 games because he's probably a wanting to do too well. Euell well, it's what I expect of him, he's at least consistent in that.
-
And a nice trip to Blackpool next week-end.
-
Not saying he isn't trying, probably trying too hard because he loves the club. But he's missed a couple of sitters, so have others and situation is obviously getting to them;
-
Well as everyone already knows I don't rate Lallana, I think he's way out of his depth and his presence is like playing with 10 men to me.Saga"s always been like that, he blows hot and cold, probably needs a rest again but as we have no viable alternative it's not likely..

I'm sure that they all put in a lot of effort but got frustrated by the continuing misses on goal again. If you look at our 3 wins of late they all have one common factor-we scored fairly early, settles therm down in my opinion. Let's face it the stakes are pretty high in every game now and I doubt that any of our attacking players are really comfortable with the pressure, either because they don't give a toss or because they want to win but are unsure of their ability to do so.I'm sure that this is Surman's problem, the pressure has got to him because he wants to win so badly for the club he loves.Unless of course being a dad (a relatively young one at that) is getting to him. Some blokes don't overate it, I know this I wasn't very comfortable with it either.
-
Top of the table sides probably play to win and not play to draw and consider themselves lucky if they get a flukey goal.5 across midfiekld says only 1 thing, we're here for the draw try to break us down and make sure we don't hit you on the break; To win that sort of match you need individual talent, some-one who can distill a nano-second of pure footballing magic. Unfortunately we don't have that sort of player available just now,you also need someone who, if they get a clear shot at goal ,won't f**k it up..
-
Who else was there on the bench?? that's the problem, saga,DMG,lallana all woeful apparently yet we just had BWP(;)) and at the limit Thompson as attacking options. We're down to the bare bones and what you see is what we have.
