  1. Screaming Lord Such would have done as good a job as Gorrrrrdon Brrrrown.
  2. Fulham will subsidise him out of the saving they'll make on only paying Lallana 1300 quid a week. Fulham need goalscorers desperately so they might be willing to lend out surplus defenders on a partial pay basis.
  3. They can, in the general election.Stop voting for the mainly jock real life rejection party and start voting for the monster raving loony party.
  4. I don't expect they'll give a f**k
  5. Plus there's some more TV money in the pipeline for next year. Bet we've already pawned that to Barclay's though. If they support us in just sufficient measure to survive this year we'll give them our extra 3 million TV money next year. Sounds plausible actually.
  6. But then he would say that wouldn't he (Mandy Rice Davies circa 1963) Nothing changes does it.
  7. Not sure that you're right about that.We got to Div 1 in what 66??. Football was already leaningf to the Ramsian 4-2-4 by then and I would say (although my memory might play tricks here) that Sydenham didn't play very often in away games from 66/67 onwards. I would have thought we used an extra defender more often than not. However it's 40 odd years ago and I don't have a photographic memory for football formations.
  8. We could get Santi Munez's little brother, he'd be cheap and he nicks Ferraris and drives them about at the age of 12 .Just up our street.
  9. How do you get on on a transatlantic flight though, or on the train ? All no smoking as far as I know.
  10. Sorry I haven't been following the debates. How come Sydenham is in this poll?? He was an outside left, a forward. Didn't track back or defend, certainly not a "midfielder". For those not old enough to remember, Sydenham played when we used a 1-4-1-5 system. Forwards did not tackle,they rarely got back into their own half. Wingers winged and centre forwards hung about as near the opposition goal area as the offside rule allowed;If anyone was playing left midfield in those days it would be one of the number 10's David Burnside, Brian O'Neill, whoever wore the number 10 shirt on the day.
  11. Don't think the last one has ended yet, being going on since 1954
  12. It's not all Reading have had an about turn on either. Their site said Lita was coming back and Pearce was staying on with us for a month.Now Pearce is going back and Lita stays on at Norwich for another month.Perhaps they're being prudent with the old swans as well.
  13. I didn't know that, never tried to go out and come back in. Just assumed it was the same as everywhere else.
  14. Yep but then they'd have to have a part of the stadium which isn't a "public building or space" wouldn't they. Saints have no choice, do what the lab assistants at my place do-go out****ingside. In their case they have to jog down to the the street gate cos it's all a public "space" including the grounds. They get sacked if they get caught inside.
  15. The OS said he'd been involved in a minor car accident though;
  16. Noting down the car numbers when I'm walking about town and giving the list to the Old Bill of course. They throw it in the bin I expect but having had my car trashed by an 18 year bimbo on the telephone trying to send a photograph of herself to someone it's something I feel strongly about. There is no need whatsoever for incessant telephoning, makes me want to vomit, silly dicks on the phone in the supermarket asking their Mrs in the next alley what brand of sausages they should buy. How on earth did we all manage before the mid 90's eh!!
  17. Nope I don't have an Ipod and never telephone whilst driving. In fact I grass on everybody that I see doing it. Nothing is more dangerous. Anyway don't flash Mercedes have built in MP3 players now that you can change with the little buttons behind the steering wheel (or on it) No? Cheap German Rubbish then :smt078:smt078:smt078:smt078
  18. You'll have to wait until the 6 monthly accounts are published in February then. But in the meantime, if we're still avoiding administration on the number of asse"s we're getting on seats up till now that must give a good idea of exactly how much we're paying our staff. 17K break even ,with about 10K of that on STs at an average of a about £18 a game; 7k split 5 full price+2K concessions,give an average of about £18.50 after VAT. Game every 2 weeks (less really) 10Kx£18+5Kx20+2Kx£15=310K per 2 week interval. 100K for the players,20K for the 'ground staff, some for the police etc etc. We can't be paying any more.
  19. They are kids earning peanuts, it looks good on the OS but they are severely underpaid by CCC standards.You could ship out Smith,Robertson,Gasmi,Gobern, McLaggon,Thomson,Patterson,Lallana and all that and still not have enough to pay a Saga or a Rasiak. Most of you won't believe it but I would say that our weekly wage bill for those 34 players is probably less than 100K per week, including the big earners like BWP and Davis.
  20. Isn't Saga coming back and will be available as from Thursday next? True it's not by choice though. I'm afraid that his return will send us into administration.
  21. Who we can't afford. No point in owning a Ferrari if you can't afford to put petrol in it. Market is depressed so you can't sell it either.
  22. We shall see. That's the trouble with football managers, they rise to dizzy heights then coming crashing down in the blink of an eye. it's a risk business. I don't rate Hull.I'll say what I like about their manager.
  23. Perhaps they have given us up until the day before the transfer window closes to decided if we want to buy him. Perhaps we have a block on any new contracts past that date.
  24. Provided that some-one was willing to sell them at that price; Share prices change greatly,the intrinsic value of the company is what really counts. Try to find some-one to sell you 2 million shares at 21p, you'll see what I mean;
  25. No it isn't.
