Strange that, must be all the "new manager creations" happening just now. Sack " a name " who's cost a lot and give the job to his assistant or someone elses's assistant. ie Charlton,Watford etc etc etc. or dig up an old dinosaur as "caretaker manager" and then give him the job after a month or so when all the furore has died down;

Sorry to say this BTF but 100£ is the square root of f-all. That's WI cake sale money. Rights issues concern current shareholders first and then new shareholders get a chance. If those that hold shares decline their part their investment ends up by being diluted. Do not forget that some mugs paid £1.50 a share at the outset.Do not forget either that we have 2 major shareholders who paid 49p and 65p respectively; If say Wilde turned down his share (or Crouch or Unicol engineering or whoever) and you bought their part at 20p a share your totally new shareholding obtained for a fraction of the price they paid would have an equal value to theirs. It's just not on, it means that those who havev already lost a packet would have to stump up more to saveguard their investment. this is why the major shareholders rolled about on the floor laughing at the SISA proposal.

Wouldn't work, there are far too many rights issues just now. Everybody wants cash and nobody that has any is letting go of it easily.

perhaps Cork going is the price of having to take Saganowski back. Perhaps Cork didn't come all that cheaply and once again we have to sacrifice someone decent for one of our lazyassed strikers.

Not content with banning smoking Norway has also introduced fines and prison sentences for paying for sex; Is Mary Whitehouse the Prime Minister or something??

We've certainly run out of baking powder.

Crap, saw him against Burnley, Eagles piissed all over him.

A hypothetical "would have" mark you. Any bloke who could change his name to Lord Such 3rd count of Hampstead had to be a star right??
-
Screaming Lord Such would have done as good a job as Gorrrrrdon Brrrrown.

Fulham will subsidise him out of the saving they'll make on only paying Lallana 1300 quid a week. Fulham need goalscorers desperately so they might be willing to lend out surplus defenders on a partial pay basis.

They can, in the general election.Stop voting for the mainly jock real life rejection party and start voting for the monster raving loony party.

If by miracle we do stay up, how will we compete next year?

Plus there's some more TV money in the pipeline for next year. Bet we've already pawned that to Barclay's though. If they support us in just sufficient measure to survive this year we'll give them our extra 3 million TV money next year. Sounds plausible actually. -
But then he would say that wouldn't he (Mandy Rice Davies circa 1963) Nothing changes does it.

Saints Greatest XI - Best Left Midfielder Poll
Window Cleaner replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Not sure that you're right about that.We got to Div 1 in what 66??. Football was already leaningf to the Ramsian 4-2-4 by then and I would say (although my memory might play tricks here) that Sydenham didn't play very often in away games from 66/67 onwards. I would have thought we used an extra defender more often than not. However it's 40 odd years ago and I don't have a photographic memory for football formations. -
We could get Santi Munez's little brother, he'd be cheap and he nicks Ferraris and drives them about at the age of 12 .Just up our street.
-
How do you get on on a transatlantic flight though, or on the train ? All no smoking as far as I know.

Saints Greatest XI - Best Left Midfielder Poll
Window Cleaner replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Sorry I haven't been following the debates. How come Sydenham is in this poll?? He was an outside left, a forward. Didn't track back or defend, certainly not a "midfielder". For those not old enough to remember, Sydenham played when we used a 1-4-1-5 system. Forwards did not tackle, they rarely got back into their own half. Wingers winged and centre forwards hung about as near the opposition goal area as the offside rule allowed; If anyone was playing left midfield in those days it would be one of the number 10's David Burnside, Brian O'Neill, whoever wore the number 10 shirt on the day. -
Don't think the last one has ended yet, being going on since 1954

It's not all Reading have had an about turn on either. Their site said Lita was coming back and Pearce was staying on with us for a month. Now Pearce is going back and Lita stays on at Norwich for another month.Perhaps they're being prudent with the old swans as well.
-
I didn't know that, never tried to go out and come back in. Just assumed it was the same as everywhere else.
-
Yep but then they'd have to have a part of the stadium which isn't a "public building or space" wouldn't they. Saints have no choice, do what the lab assistants at my place do-go out****ingside. In their case they have to jog down to the the street gate cos it's all a public "space" including the grounds. They get sacked if they get caught inside.

Noting down the car numbers when I'm walking about town and giving the list to the Old Bill of course. They throw it in the bin I expect but having had my car trashed by an 18 year bimbo on the telephone trying to send a photograph of herself to someone it's something I feel strongly about. There is no need whatsoever for incessant telephoning, makes me want to vomit, silly dicks on the phone in the supermarket asking their Mrs in the next alley what brand of sausages they should buy. How on earth did we all manage before the mid 90's eh!! -

Nope I don't have an Ipod and never telephone whilst driving. In fact I grass on everybody that I see doing it. Nothing is more dangerous. Anyway don't flash Mercedes have built in MP3 players now that you can change with the little buttons behind the steering wheel (or on it) No? Cheap German Rubbish then :smt078:smt078:smt078:smt078
