perhaps he's been meddling with team affairs behind Jan's back. Wouldn't be the first and wouldn't be the last.

Incorrect, the Saints Trust should be there for the 320 (or so) souls who are up to date with their annual subscriptions.

Indeed, if you look at some of his other posts,, well let's say they wouldn't strike you as the work of the son of an IT magnate in the good ol' US of A. -

He's got to make up his mind if he wants to whip it out or wipe it out though. I'd put this one down to another of our juvenile elements though. Did the OP say why his dad and his cronies wanted to buy the club though??? -
Good point. You need a homogenous squad though. They're either all on mega-bucks or all on reasonable pay. When you have idlers doing nothing for a lot of money and kids on very low pay there's bound to be a fundamental lack of harmony.

What do we want and how do we achieve it?

the Trust is a good idea, trouble is the piffling tenner it costs to join. Jack it up to serious money and you may get further, just my opinion of course. -
3K a month (or 5K or 6K) isn't the same as 3K a week +.
-
Probably not much though.

Correct (as far as I know). I don't think the majority of the fans realise just how limited our finances are. We are broke, worse than broke,we are soldiering on because companies have agreed to give us more time to pay.I don't doubt that any one of a few creditors could put us into administration tomorrow. We can't afford any players, if we played those that we could really afford we'd be scraping them off of recs and commercial houses league teams. You've just all got to get this into perspective WE HAVE NO MONEY,in fact less than that. Don't start with your "why did we sign xxx then, we have to honour our obligations in the reserves league, the academy league and so on. We pay Pulis ,Gasmi and all that virtually nothing, probably less than £500 a week in some cases. We have what we can afford to pay for or persuade others to pay for us. We couldn't afford Pearson, Jan Poortvliet probably takes home about 3K a month.

Probably, trouble is that with SFC decent players seem to wither and die and then rise from the ashes when they get transferred out of the place.

Morgan is off for a couple of days with France U21s, today and tomorrow. May get some echos on his "etat d'ame". Could well be that the DTN "suggest" that he looks for a better side .

What happened to today's sure fire cert takeover then?? Oh right some wag from the wrong end of the M27 has been posing as a lifelong fan and spreading the old horse manure again. My my what a surprise, never mind. When all that stops perhaps we'll get somewhere, it just creates confusion and nigh on mass hysteria.Perhaps some of the players actually believe it.

Adebayor wanted to go to Monaco, he just came to see us as an insurance policy...or so they say. Probably had a pi*ss poor attitude if that was the case. At that time Monaco were above all footballing law (they've since been taken down a peg or two by the DNCG) money grew on trees and nobody asked questions about the whys and wherefores. That's how they got to the Champions League final.

didn't even need to take any bigger gamble than NOT WASTING money on Delgado and Chala. We had money, spent wisely at that time it would have certainly ben fructous.Strachan didn't want Delgado, he virtually said so every time the subject was broached.I'm sure we could have wheedled our way out of that deal when Strachan was signed up.Maybe with a little fiscal penalty but the rest of the 6 or 7 million we wasted on those two idiots would have gone a long way in 2001.

Caca is infantile french for crap.
-
You think I jest. When I was a sort of assistant coach at a French amateur side we blew promotion to the semi-pros because the lads knew they wouldn't get a game (and the 85£ match fee) if we went up.
-
What's all this gloom and doom then?? Are we not being taken over by some-one super-rich tomorrow then? I just assumed yesterday was a blip cos they were all ****ed off because they'll all be out of the door by the time we play again,to be replaced illico by 30 or so of the world's finest and most expensive players.
-
No indeed. Anyway he's only 23, he just looks 45.
-
We need to play all of our home games at Nottarf Krap. SMS is hexed, as for the rest, couldn't say, been out at the Cross Country Championships this afty.

18249 will watch Saints win 3-1.

I remember seeing him play for Arsenal, reminded me of Bambi. Probably bulked out a bit by now though.

81% is the total, of course we'll only get to estimate how much the "unmentionables" ie Claus and Idiakiez were on when the half year figures for the current year to come out.

Thanks for that Jonah. I was only ever talking about personal debt though. No I don't know everybody in France but most of those that I do know are pretty prudent about personal debt. we have flash bastards as well, although a lot of BMWs and Audis are owned by drug dealers nowadays, it's their trade badge. It would be general unthinkable to most common or garden french people to remortgage their home to go on holiday or for a bigger flashier car. They know that sooner or later there will be drastic government spending cuts and they like to stow away a bit for the future. Now take "student loans".Most HE students are either financed by parents, receive a small "bourse" or grant (dependant on parents income) or they work a bit. University inscription costs about £150 per annum. You can obtain a "pret etudiant" from 2 banks, but the maximum is 2217 euros per year. Nobody comes out of the HE system with 15K or 30K debt, parents have to face their responsibilities on that one. It's one of the big differences in the 2 countries, parents have to take resposibility for their kids, even the big ones. You juqst can't cut them off with nothing, nor can you refuse to aid your parents in later life.It can happen to anyone so most people are fairly prudent about personal debt. No-one would buy a football season ticket on the never never. Not necessary, you can usually pay on the day, it's not overly expensive.

Don't know about the soap, most of them are pretty clean nowadays. CESM will probably be OK though, they wouldn't understand anyway.
