  1. I've just noticed that Mike Withers has reduced his shareholding in the recent past. Not a lot, some 125000 shares or so, but seeing as it's not the best time to be doing that it must be taken as a sign. Unless of course it's just an in-house transfer or something along those lines.
  2. We'll be without Surman at Norwich, we shall see how it pans out without him. Perhaps give Skacel a chance in midfield.Surman is a decent player but seems to have slipped away a bit of late.
  3. I honestly doubt that anyone pays anyone to post anything on this forum. Except that we all pay Baj and Steve £5 for the privilege I think you're all getting carried away with the old Mulder and Scully. People have friends and aquaintances, they champion the ideas of their preferred ideaology but it ends right there.
  4. Not so sure, perhaps if they have the biggest financial clout it's a possibility. But anyone could come in with a bigger and better plan and deny them their devious way,so I don't think they risk administration as a calculated means to an end Depends just how much they really have to lose.At some point or other injecting cash must become more viable than losing the totality of their investment. I mean blokes like Withers can't be short of a bit of folding can they,I get the idea though that before we see any of it we'll need to see the back of Crouch,Wilde and the Corbett family..
  5. Made possible by the fact that looking into the shareholding of SLH PLC is like looking into a pond of thick treacle covered by a mirror and trying to tell what's at the bottom..
  6. But whatever happens we will still have 20 million debt on the Stadium.Administration will never make that go away. If we want to continue playing there we owe Aviva 20 million, that's final.Barclays won't just bugger off either and write our debt down to experience, they'll get there 5(or so million) by hook or by crook.Apparently we don't owe the taxman so the only losers will be staff, players, small shareholders who've never made more than a few pence dividends and local traders. We don't owe enough to enough people (other than the two cited) to make it worthwhile. We've just got to tough it out whatever happens on the field.
  7. No, administration for us is bad news, anything but that. Other clubs may have gone down that road but we have far more to lose. Plus it would mean Leon Crouch losing £2 million and that would be the end of him.He deserves better than that, he bought a lot of shares in good faith.
  8. Good, you're always telling us how crap they are so if we can offload someone you'll have one less to moan about.
  9. Lallana and Surman are bit part players because they're woefully inconsistent. What we are now playing is the nucleus of the side that got to the Academy Cup Final (whatever it's called) Huw Jennings and then George Prost did a great job, but the crop of players that we're currently trying to incorporate into the first team haven't really come on as far as they should have.Prost left in about March 2007 to return to Lyon who are currently producing some fabulous (and highly coveted)young players like Ben Arfa and Benzemma. It's no coincidence that's all.
  10. The directors (or most of them) did recommend the SISU bid, the people that own the club didn't want to listen because it meant them losing control for virtually nothing.
  11. Well we had Monday and Wednesday as potential take-over days for this week. We're only half way through Wednesday (although by wednesday was the real mccoy) If some of you people are counting on Fulthorpe,Merrington,Crouch,Salz,Davies, Tommac or Lifelongsaint well forget it. They either don't have the money or the incentive. If anyone takes us over it will be someone we've never even heard of before. The Kaka fiasco may make more than one gazillionaire think several times over buying a football club. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear and you can't make the worlds best players sign for third rate clubs, no matter how much money you have.Man C have been taken for a ride already and it will get worse. 14million for Craig Bellamy is nuthouse business.
  12. Why do you feel this need to be so aggressive on a quasi permanent basis Alpine?? I'm talking about the pros and cons of Georges Prost. I'm not looking for(yet another) argument about Rupert Lowe. All I'm saying is that he may have misestimated the true potential of the academy without Georges Prost.
  13. Perhaps, however they'd tell you the previous administration sold too many at the same time without stocking up the next batch. Now we've no longer Georges Prost our "hot prospects" aren't so hot.Perhaps this is one of Lowe's main dilemas. He left an academy capable of producing a starlet every season and came back when it was no longer true. Perhaps he really believes that it was the "academy" that produced players like Walcott and Bale and not Georges Prost.
  14. Evidently, doubt if any club wants to buy them though; This must be the longest period in recent history when we haven't one single player that other clubs really covet.
  15. I think that's an erroneous statement. some have been well loved and respected. John Corbett and George Reader were certainly anything but crap
  16. Did he actually sack them completely? Or did he just remove them from first team affairs.I thought that was the case actually..
  17. I only clean windows in the sky.
  18. Ah right, I didn't realise that the Hockaday thingy was old news. I thought it was the old Tigana/Puel at Monaco situation again.
  19. if the thingy about Hockaday being placed on gardening leave is right it probably has something to do with coaching and results. I mean lets imagine that under coach X,having been turned down for the job at Y,imaginess himself as the next coach of Z. So he stirs the sh*te and undermines head coach U.The result is that the players no longer know who to listen to and keep f*cking up as to where they're supposed to be playing and what they're supposed to be doing.
  20. this means a specific object or place found near enough at hand to indicate it directly.:rolleyes:
  21. Perhaps the OP is getting confused with Veolia or Vivendi
  22. At the time of writing JP is head coach,MW runs the academy and looks after the reserves. We don't have a manager or an assistant manager.
  23. Why???who gives a toss about Barclay's Bank anyway. Shouldn't have lent money to people who couldn't pay it back. As far as I'm concerned if they all went under it would be a gift to humanity. Then we could get new banks who used the old values when loaning money. ie do you make enough to pay us back?.
  24. More like Arsenic and Old Lace.
  25. Not much happens of a Sunday as a rule.
