  1. Don't know, all I know is that the "potential debt" has been severely cut. I am totally against underperforming, overpaid footballers.Anyone who shoves his foot up the chuff of a lazy, good for nothing player who's laughing all the way to the bank for absolutely f-all is doing it "the right way" for me. With 100K a week and counting off the salary mass we're heading in the right direction. It is just my opinion that sometimes you've got to take the medicine, however nasty and unpleasant it may be. I thought Lowe was miserly and minable when we could afford better, just now can't see that he's far off the right track, however much I dislike it.
  2. Nothing to do with me, all I ask is financial prudence, Lowe is administering it so it's OK by me for the moment. Not the results, just the Modus Operandii.
  3. Have you never considered the idea that the players may have actually contributed to the affair? I mean I can't see the club paying for a **** up. A training week that turned into a **** up perhaps.
  4. Maybe Santa will turn up trumps.
  5. I wouldn't even turn up one day a fortnight for 25K/annum to be honest. Not to get shîte slung at me on a permanent basis.
  6. It just makes you wonder just how many shares they really "control" doesn't it. I mean Crouch would seemingly buy some if there were any to be had but there doesn't seem to be any (in a quantity sufficiently interesting) to be had. There's a lot of smoke and mirrors in SLH PLC's share holding. .
  7. Same place as the 15% of total revenue player I expect.
  8. But Jonah, what you have to admit here is that in the Summer of 2007, ier after getting to the playoffs and having a reasonable season with an expenditure of 7 million or so we actually sold players to the tune of about 14 or 15 million £, the wrong players perhaps but we had made money in the transfer market. Whoever sanctioned the 7 million was about there or thereabouts, OK we should have got automatic promotion but apart from a spot of bad luck when we didn't need it we were about right. So we sold and bought for less. In that period the club actually made money on transfers.Board makes decisions that make money-yep sounds about right. Where we went wrong was after the play-off season. We sold and bought. The players that we bought however were dump,or not, anyway they didn't perform and Claus got injured, who could bargain for that really? Thomas wasn't up to the job,Vignal took a long time to settle, strange for an acomplished player with a solid knowledge of the English game,Saga stopped scoring, who could predict all that?? It could well be that the only bad decision anyone made was NOT SACKING BURLEY, that's the real problem, the root cause of all evil, whoever opposed that takes 100% of the blame.Especially as Lowe is on record as saying Burley was being handled badly.
  9. Why was that then? Did she actually believe that Crouch shouting at Lowe would achieve anything. The Corbett family have about 6% of the shares, just needs to sell them to Crouch,he'd be on 16% then.He could try for those managed by Cheviot and that other asset management company, he'd be up to 22% or so then. As I keep saying, all mouth and nothing in the trousers.
  10. Doubt it. Revenue 14.9 million, 15% of that about 2.2 million or 40K a week for those that insist on reducing it to that.
  11. A 2 million a year player??? Get out. Nobody but nobody at SMS earnt 2 million quid last year (or got paid it either).
  12. Not if we're loaning him to them they aren't. Maybe a loan fee involved, certainly not 500K though. 50p would be ballpark.
  13. At the end of the day all the resolutions were duly passed. See, doesn't matter how much you scream, howl and throw small change;at the end of the day the company/club is run by those that own (or control) the majority of the shares. If you want to change that, easy peasy, buy some more shares until you have enough to back up your screaming and howling with ACTION.
  14. Aha Punxsutawney Phil. Have you ever noticed that there are discrepancies in that film. ie on the first day the van didn't break down.
  15. Could at least have thrown his shoes,
  16. Oh a few shots of dumdum and he'll float through it. (I'm not sure that you'll all know what dumdum is, a mythic drink that Dutch trawlermen drink when the ship sinks apparently.)
  17. But it's nothing to do with a price fixed by Rupert Lowe. There are 28,000,000 shares, a controlling interest can be obtained completely independently of Lowe, his cronies or Wilde.I'm sure a goodly number of people would accept 30p. Unless of course he's snookered himself by paying 65p for his shares and he'd have to offer that for the remaining 70% if he eventually got to 30%.
  18. There was a guy used to post on Saintslist, he constantly said that Lowe would eventually ruin the club with his miserly attitude. Can't remember his name though. My did he get slagged off on a continual basis. Probably why he stopped posting.
  19. But Lowe and Wilde's share are not unique, they total about 22% of the total issue.Even taking it as a block of 42% that still leaves another 48% hanging around somewhere. Why is he so obsessed with buying the Lowe/Wilde block when he could achieve control by focussing on the rest of the issue? It's a weak argument to say you'll buy from someone you know won't sell. There are other shares, if he means business I'm sure that he could go after them.Unless of course Lowe and Wilde have a bigger stranglehold than can be referenced.I'm sure that Crouch can get his hands on a list of shareholders, if he's serious he'd know what to do with it. So Mr Crouch, action or words???i
  20. We are in the crap because we payed average players too much for too long. That's it, what else is there to say. You can't hike it all the way back to relegation or Gray or Askham. Those were different periods but our current dilema is a pure result of LAST SEASON and only that. We went from a play-off side to just avoiding relegation in one fell swoop. Whoever should have sacked(or rather stopped him from being sacked ) Burley in September or October of last year is to blame for our CURRENT problems.I have my own idea who that was ....
  21. Oh right, so your real name is Otter St Mar then :yawinkle::yawinkle:
  22. Turning up the heat will do nothing whatsoever, turning up the CASH is the only solution.Screaming and howling at the AGM will produce absolutely f**k all; If Crouch doesn't like it he only has to put his hand in his pocket, obtain another 20.05 % of the shares and then he can do whatever it is he wants. I mean a man of means like he should surely be able to stump up another 4 million or so instead of wasting time running his mouth off. He had his chance, didn't step up to the plate, wallet in hand. He tried the "petit jouer'' approach (see Runnymede Minutes) and got his arse kicked.
  23. Wildeve is a publican in the Return of the Native.Who is Wildey??
  24. Probably spent all his time since Saturday psyching himself up for it. I mean no-one could have doubted that it would happen, being the first AGM since they got the boot up their collective chuff .
