The problem is that our overdraft,even 6 million at 5% ,is increasing by about 840£ a day. So with home matches spaced at 14 day intervals each gap between home matches increases our overdraft by £11760, equivalent to about 650 tickets sold (cos there are a lot of concessions). We can't rely on gate increases alone to reduce the overdraft in any significant way. 1000 extra on the gate only knocks about 6500£ off the overdraft in a 14 day period.

That isn't a very tall central pairing, must be one of the most vertically challenged in club history.

I mean it wouldn't be a bad deal though would it, a bit of cash, and Baird to shore up at RB or in central defence depending on whether we can keep Cork or not.I mean Lallana is obviously a decent player but sometimes you've got to take one for the team.

Well if you listen to some we're already at 8 million anyway . It is evident from the accounts that the 6.63 million financial debt is made up from the 5.69 million overdraft and I suppose about a million renegociated stadium payment. We had 1.256 million in hand at the bank so I suppose we had enough to pay our way for a while. We got a bit in for Davies and something on the Bale add ons. The AR makes no mention of the extra monies for the Crouch knock on,don't know what that means. Since then if we haven't been living within our means our overdraft will have gone up. 25 cheap players @16000£/month x 5 months = 2 million 5 expensive as f*ck players@40000/monthx5=1 million Normal everyday stuff, probably 2 mill more So out 5 million, in say 3 million from player sales, and 6000x12x20 on tickets =1.44 million.Bit of TV money,some commercial income, probably roughly even given that there was a league cup game or two and a couple of home friendlies. I can't see that we would be on 8 million pure overdraft though, perhaps 5.5 million on overdraft plus the other million probably on reported interest payment.Buit there again if all the ST money bar 1.25 million was already gone by the end of June and we had to pay everybody through July and August things might be different.

That's what I said, you need to spend big to save big, if you can't spend you can't save; Now if VAT reduction on beer,baccy and petrol hadn't been compensated by a tax rise to keep their prices the same it might be different. The government want you all to go out and buy a lot of "empire made" trash to save money you haven't got. Selling Morgan for 3 million makes no sense. We'll have to pay up the rest of the 1.5 million euros plus the knock on to Strasbourg. With the exchange rate they'll get 1.2 million plus 15% of 1.8 million and we'll get the rest. We'll be left with a great little player less and a smack in the balls 1.5 million instead. We have to ship out the junk first and then Lallana as he is more easily replaceable and his transfer will bring in much more at the end of the day.

Yes logically but when you want them to lose are you still a Saint? This is an interesting philosophical question, does being a supporter allow you to wish for bad results in order to obtain uncertain satisfaction on a point you don't agree with. Anway football club management without significant funding is always a no-win process; If you don't spend you're phoqued because you don't get any results and if you do spend you're phoqued because you don't get any results; Unless you have access to unlimited cash (or unlimited debt in our era) you're always reliant on a bunch of often lazy assed,inconsistent,overpaid and I've stacks of cash so I'm alright and phuck you mate footballers who may or may not perform as required.Better to underpay them and lose than overpay them and still lose;

It's not even 51p for ST holders though is it.At £380 for the 23 game ST it's only about £13.63 before VAT making a 2.5% reduction about 30p. Cheap tickets for ST holders for the first home cup game should about iron it out.

If we can keep Cork and that's by no means a foregone conclusion. Of the loan players that we have only Gasmi is here for the season. The rest are up until the end of December.
