Doubt it. Tomorrow night I suppose 14500 will turn up (including ST holders, whether they turn up or not). The ticket receipt will be about 100K, Bristol will see about 17K, gate receipt 150K, Wolves about the same. With that at least the salaries will be paid at the end of November. If the boycotting billies have their way, they won't. The club CAN do nothing about it. We don't have the money.
-
Boycott, boycott and the club will be gone. It's not the same as the Branfoot era, the club will go to the wall before Lowe and Wilde. If no paying(non ST holders) supporters turn up tomorrow night or against Bristol city or Wolves, the salaries will probably not be paid at the end of November.Office staff, players, groundsmen, everybody. Lowe and Wilde have already lost everything they've invested, Crouch too, Singh,Unicol,Cheviot,Richards,Withers,Askham. Their shares are worth nothing because no-one wants to buy them and take on our 30 million debt, not now. There are no doubt people who would buy Lowe out for 500K or Wilde for 1.2 million but that's just the tip of the iceberg. If you incite boycotting you will be responsible for the death of the club within a matter of weeks.

Gasmi doesn't play on the wing, he's a playmaker.
-
We need him in the team because he cost a lot of money and gets paid a lot. When you've got player like that, doesn't matter how unfit, fat or useless they are you've got to play them, because they're "stars". Rupert has made Jan play him because he's fed up with hearing about the knob. When we go down he'll say 'Yep, but I told you Skacel was crap, but you insisted".
-
He's a "star" dontchya know; How was the NFL?
-
'Arrys tactics are non existent. He lets the players play and kicks ass if they don't do it in a way he likes.
-
Dutch players are very sought after, for their technical ability and will to win. Doubt if any that would be worth having would want to come here It could be that Jan is having real difficulty in adapting some of our players to the system he wants us to use. Wouldn't be the first, won't be the last. Looks at those ***** at Spurs. Ramos is a good coach, couldn't do a thing with them, 'arry the barrow boy comes in,gives them 10 minutes of good old C***ney, f'ing and blinding and they win 2-0.

You can only get rid of players someone wants.
-
Because we'll need them when when sell Surman and Lallana. Again not rocket science. Those two are as good as gone. Romain Gasmi is probably on £1000 (or less a week) He's a reserve team player from Strasbourg who are in French L2. The average pay for French LI players (including all the big hitters at Lyon,Marseille and PSG) is less than 10000 euros a week, or 8000£ by today's standards. That's why all their teams are so poor in Europe, they can't keep anyone who wants away for more money. The average run of the mill L1 player is probably on £4000 or so a week, and happy to have it. Reserve team players (CFA) are on virtually nothing. It costs about 8 euros to go to those games. ie £5, and to see Salisbury (which is of an inferior or equal standard it's £13) Here are some (a bit outr of date) figures for average pay in the english leagues. Players like Smith and Roberston are probably on virtually nothing . Pekhart will be aided by Tottenham, he's not a transfer loan,he's an experience loan. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/163676000-the-average-salary-of-a-premiership-footballer-in-2006-473659.html

Let me put it differently. Your income goes down because you get sacked and you get a less well paid job. You carry on spending as you were before, you go overdrawn,yo get bollocked by the bank manager, he tells you to cut your spending, you buy less groceries at Sainsbury's. Easy isn't it.

Could score goals being the operative phrase.Hasn't though. Barclays aren't football experts, as they see it we're probably down to our core support anyway so to them it's even steven if we're in the CCC or League 1. All Barclays want, having promised to support us, is for us to cut our wage bill and stop losing f**king money. The club has incompressible overheads that can't be cut, we're still losing money, so we have to cut the only thing we can-the wage bill. Jeez it's not high finance or lunar module science. If I can understand that anybody can. We pay our players more than we earn ,so we lose money. Got that? Right.
-
Correct, he's already as good as lost £2 million, There would be no security for a such loan so he's not going to chuck another 2 million in good money after what has already gone down the pan is he. Anyway see plenty of posts here saying "I'm not going to give them £24 whilst those "**** are here,he's probably saying "I'm not going to waste another £2 million whilst those **** don't turn up" I'm not defending anybody or taking sides(before anyone starts) The board and the "fans" deserve each other. Bad board=Fickle fans=Bad board=°

Reaching out on all sides.

Well I'm going to bell them tomorrow to see if they want to talk to me about it then. I'll spill the beans, no worries. I can't help thinking that there are personal guarantees in place. I'm sure our OD showed up in the last accounts as a "secured" loan. Could be wrong though, it's been known.

Look at the minutes published above RL commented that in his recent discussion with the companies bankers Not any old recent discussions his recent discussions. Why were Barclays talking to Lowe in the fall of last year? Come on people I want to know..
-
What and he was just impersonation Hone when the phone rang to "discuss our overdraft Come on why were the bank talking to Lowe in November 2007, that's an important thing to know.In fact it's the key.
-
But then why were they talking to him when his was off of the radar??? I just don't understand that. If they're not his biggest fans why kick his cage when he'd been ousted. I mean November 2007 "recent discussions with the clubs bankers" when he'd been off the scene for nigh on 18 months. Come on someone must have an explanation for that-please?

Along with "We're not building a stadium for the Nationwide"
-
One pertinent point from the Runnymede minutes. Why was our bank talking to a man who had no effective role in the running of the club? Can they do that, I would have thought not, unless they have some personal guarantee from Rupert or one of the parties for whom he seems to be spokesman. Anyone want to have a stab at explaining that point?.

P*ss off you little weasel (Long forgotten quote from his schooldays)

Sounds like an average Friday afternoon on TSW, plenty of gab,no action.

Just an elementary lesson in fag packet mathematics here. a= you have to take out the VAT from all sales. b) the beer, pies and programme all have a finite cost.Their sale price also includes VAT. c) not everybody drinks stadium beer (it's awful),eats the pies or buys a programme. d) The stadium takes up the input of at least 5000 fans per match, probably nearer 6K. Those adjustments would mean that 1000+ people are paying Stern John. Stadium 6000, Stern John 1000,Rudi Skacel 1000,Wayne Thomas 800, Jason Euell 1000 Meaning that the remaining charge has to be born by 5200 fans on the gates we're getting. We've 29 pros,an academy, office staff, interest payments to meet with that. Anyone know what the clubs rates are ? is it not more than a million a year?? Without Sky money the Stadium is what we can't afford.
-
Only because they've drawn their last 2 games and have agame in hand. They're doing AOK so far although the last 2 results have been sub par (by thier expected standards) . Their squad probably earns more than ours so it's only normal really. In football you get what you pay for, same as always. That's OK, the affair goes tits up when you're paying top whack and getting bottom dollar.
-
Unless you believe (as I'm prepared to do) that Pearson had already been tapped up by Milan. I could believe that, I don't think he'd 'dip out' of his own accord but with a hefty incentive from Milan, yep, I could see that happening.

Trouble is SOG at the start of the season we didn't look too bad, likely to score but didn't, so we lost a few games we might have won; Now we don't even look likely to win, in fact we look consigned to defeat. Our "plan" was an adventurous one, unfortunately it was based on Killer playing at least every other game (what a joke), Thomas not getting injured (he looked good in his few runs out). Holmes was a key man, he looked the real biz, since then we've been trying to duplicate his role without success. Lancashire has already gotten 2 red cards, bet that wasn't in the plan, Skacel ? who the F knows what his role was supposed to be, f**king off to provide some much need cash I expect. Schneiderlin has had a couple of injuries, the "loans" have been erratic, McG isn't scoring, neither is Lallana. The "plan" has gone tits up in every department, yesterday was a game I thought we should compete in but we were dismal, didn't even look as good as we did in August. I gave the "plan" some credibility but it's shot to f*ck because nothing has gone the way it was supposed to.
