  1. One and the same I expect, Does get a lot of visits though. I don't see where he has made comments about Toomers wife though. I thought it was Wes Tender. Must take up actually reading posts.
  2. Skacel contract (being for 4 years) is probably pretty complex. His contract at Marseille (from hearsay) was very very intricate. It could be that it's something like performance rated AFTER a certain time or that there was a clause in it about emolument diminishing if we weren't promoted. All I know is that, according to someone who just might be right,he ASKED(in writing) to be loaned out last January to play a better standard of football to enhance his chances of selection for the Euro 2008.
  3. Of course, that's the beauty of hypothetical questions with no known definitive answer. You can kick them around for years, say what you like and never be proven wrong. Academics make a very respectable living out of it.;);)
  4. Has he got worse at Leicester then?
  5. Why, would his condition have improved in 4 days then? If he wasn't good to play on Tuesday why on Saturday. Any player who needs continual scans, injections and visits to faraway docs is suspect ,whether it be for Tuesday night or Saturday afternoon. Doncaster is important ,I personally wouldn't take a chance that a half fit one legger (like he was against Blackpool) would turn up trumps when the heat was on.If he's going to fail(again) better it be against Rotherham.
  6. Have it your own way then.Nathan Dyer was never ever earning 8K a week with Southampton FC, doesn't matter what you, your friends or the Daily Mirror might say. You know you're right of course, what does reality have to do with it.
  7. We would be higher in the table if Lallana hadn't missed 2 unmissable sitters against Blackpool. That my friend is fact, the rest is just subject matter for hypothetical discussion.
  8. 5 is El Karkouri, Safri is indeed on the right.
  9. That is straight out of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, people like to bandy impressive sounding weekly wages about, it seems to boost their personal estimation of their personal kudos. Dyer would have been getting, on his new contract, say 4K tops, perhaps a bit more on goals and performances. Lowe is known to have laughed seriously good players and managers out of the door because of their overated opinion of their worth. He wouldn't have given a little waster like Dyer the time of day at 8-10 k a week. Dyer signed because he had no other offers-probable fact.
  10. You don't ,Give it to Ron doesn't mind either but David Luker seems to be saying some would. Who knows.
  11. It would be good but I don't think they could drop the level below the Early Bird price to be honest. You seem reasonable and flexible, others aren't quite as adult. It's a Catch 22 situation, whatever they do will always alienate somebody who will no doubt use whatever means are at his (or her) disposal to whip up support for an anti-club campaign.
  12. No it wasn't aimed at anyone who doesn't keep on whining about £15 being the right price for on the day tickets. It's £13 at Salisbury FFS.
  13. They are my favourites for the title of first "big club" to get into real difficulties.Mind you West Ham seem to have their nose in front just now. They are going to get hit from all sides.Anyone who deems themself to have suffered from West Ham's trickidickiness will be hitting them with a law suit now. The flood gates are open.
  14. We're talking about Qatar here. FIFA's rules are only applicable to serious footballing nations.Who cares if Qatar play in the World Cup,their national side played against a club I coached a bit once, we won 4-1.Our lads had all worked at their daytime jobs on that day as well.
  15. Skacel is working on his fitness in training, he needs more games in the reserves-must be true ,Jan said so on the OS. How did he get unfit, must have been in pretty good nick for the Euro, it's only a couple of months ago.Perhaps Hammill left a few pies hanging about.
  16. Now your talking. Heat and Dust model please.
  17. My solicitors will be in touch about posting a link likely to endanger my eyesight without warning:cool::cool::cool: me to put on my dark glasses.
  18. Don't be wet man, who's going to buy the stadium and for what? The land isn't worth the asking price and there are no other wealthy sports club in the sector. We don't own all of Marchwood so the administrators can't sell it off. Anyway training on the Common was good enough for me, why not for them.
  19. True, the club cannot afford to alienate the season ticket holders. They brassed up when asked and got what so many people seem to think is their divine right-cheap football. I think on the March Madness it comes to about 16£ a game, same seat and all.A junior/adult pair on the early bird comes to £20 a game for the pair without having to suffer the family enclosure. Cheap tickets were available, if you didn't take them up, then that's your problem not the club's.
  20. Oh Les Harfield-right.
  21. I bet we won't and I'd bet it isn't. There is no conceivable reason as to why we should suddenly subside into administration. If we were going we'd have gone last summer. Have to wait for the next "administration window" now.
  22. Wouldn't think he's particularly lumpy but probably more of a presence in the box than either McGoldrick or Pekhart. Against Blackpool we put in some good crosses (from Holmes!!) that were just crying out for someone to muscle in at the near post and bury them. Never seen such a lot of wasted ball. McGoldgrick is like Cantona, seems to be a wanting to do the "beautiful thing" all the time. No place for artists in the penalty box in the CCC.
  23. But perhaps them taking Dyer was totally dependant and irreconcilably tied to us taking this young man on loan as well. I mean no doubt we didn't really want Pulis either but it was probably take it or leave it on the Davies deal. Whatever we had to do to get rid of Dyer is OK by me.Bad influence, bad attitude.
  24. Miracles take longer. On Jan's latest OS piece he says "Rudi is working on his fitness in training, he needs some more reserve team games yet"
  25. But 1977, it doesn't matter how much you shove people on ignore lists, when someone quotes them, you get to see what they wrote anyway. Sundance is not the sort of nondescript poster that no-one ever quotes.. He probably keep Sundance as a fun identity, no doubt has another one anyway. Who doesn't have at least 2 email addresses in this day and age??
