they're also signing Mandanda from the O.M, far better keeper than either of those that they have just now. Top keeper on an out of contract basis I believe. Quite surprised that Everton didn't go for him myself, then again Ronald does like his dutch and players that he's managed before. -
I see that the Austrian presedential election has been voided by their courts on suspicion of some sort of mishandling of postal votes then. Just a symbolic post I believe but must be the first fairly major european election to be cancelled for some sort of electoral misadventure.

After I think, Crosby didn't get on with Puncheon. -
I am not knowledgeable in the field of political science but it would seem to me that all of the attributes cited above are just what a top politician needs in his tool bag.

Because he's not a Deschamps type of player, he also has off days when he's pretty crap. He was a regular up until about the start of 2014 but dropped out of the side with the emergence of Morgan, Guilavogui, Kondogbia etc and above all the return of his favourite Diarra.Of these none are real regulars any more except for Diarra who he picked for the original Euro 23 even though he'd been on one leg for months. Deschamps has a current fixation on Kanté, next year it will be someone else. As long as he's got Pogba, Diarra and Matuidi the others stand little chance. -

I would think it extremely unlikely, what has Gonalons to gain by leaving Lyon ? He's already amongst the highest paid footballers in France,in fact I might think he's way beyond our salary range, we could have kept Victor for that sort of money. They're back in the Champion's League and will be playing in front of 60,000 or so at home. Then again nothing is impossible I suppose. -

I'm sure you can find the details somewhere, it was in the Times a while back. If you want to see the effect, the contract of Memphis Depay is on football leaks or one of those type of thingys. -

United players, in the main, are taking a 25% pay cut next season (ie the one starting in August). Failure to qualify for the CL apparently. So anyone on say 100K a week will only get 75K, then again I'm sure it's not quite as straightforward as that, the percentage cut is real though. Makes a fair bit of difference, live in a crappy part of the land, no CL and less money. -
Depends on who wins the right wing nomination for next years presidential election I expect. Old man Juppé is favourite just now but that may change in the 6 months or so before the primary starts.

Told you so....

Err I think he was agreeing with you because he knows what you do, most of us do and thus take whatever you might say as fairly reliable. -
Good

I certainly hope not.

Hah, I see the Spanish are going to veto any separate Scotland discussions because they don't want the Catalans getting any ideas.
-
This is his last stab at some real money, he's probably been on a derisory salary at Nice and at pushing 30 he'll want to wring ever last euro out of the bit of attention that he's currently drawing. That's why he'll sign for PSG any day now.
-
No he's going to Paris St Germain. Same manager though.
-
Unless we're going to sign his son Gregoire. He's a right back(not a particulary good one I believe) thus Number 2 . He's also their second child I think, Charlène being the eldest. Now she's a shîte hot 800 metre runner, surely we need one of those.
-
No, apparently he's falling over himself to accept the last minute offer he got from PSG, told you so yesterday.
-
Adding a lot more than Wilshere is neither here nor there, Wilshere shouldn't have been in the squad, he was just the token Arsenal player in the lot.

Olympique Parc was only completed at the end of last year and the first match was in January of this year. If they'd built it 10 or 12 years ago as was SMS then it would have cost a damn sight less I expect. Still not 30 million £ though, then again it isn't a flat pack 32K seater stadium.
-
Stadium cost 480 million, some public money, rest from the OL.

So as I said, they probably need money. Don't much fancy their chances of being in the Premier League come June 2017 myself. -
When you have to find 300 million euros for a stadium nothing is a "side track". Lyon sell any player who is coming to the end of his contract, doesn't look like renewing and and to whom a big price tag can be attached. Wait up, that sounds quite familiar really doesn't it. Might as well apppoint a manager who's used to it.

And Benzema must have followed suit to Madrid the season after. Aulas cashes in on his players regularly. Their new stadium didn't pay for itself. It cost 480 million euros or so, so much in the same way as Arsenal it hampered their side for a good few years, even before it was even started. Once the agreement was received in 2008 everything was for the Stadium. think there was about 180 million euros of public money and the rest was financed by the OL. Not an expert on that though.

Need money I expect. They got about 70 million from the Premier League last season but their stadium and marketing receipts aren't probably up to much. Did they not spend a packet on players between last summer and January ? Did they get fined for FFP contraventions in their Championship days?
