  1. Obviously changed his mind again then, I thought he blew them out a month or so back. Probably didn't get a better offer.
  2. Yeovil seem to have bevvy of trialists on parade for their pre-season friendlies. Gape doesn't seem to be named but Bevis Mugabi does.
  3. Boy is our incapability to take wickets going to cost us this season...
  4. Njie is going out on loan, probably to Marseille.
  5. Oh right, yes so insignificant that I didn't even notice that he'd gone.
  6. Really? I must have missed an outgoing then. Wanyama, Mané, Pellé...who did I miss ? Unless you're counting Ramirez but he was out anyway.
  7. He may well regret that move. Chelsea are still basically the same side that they were last season and Conte has no PL experience. Never mind he'll get shedloads of money.
  8. I expect it's because Cedric has a strong sale value just now and probably a few clubs willing to pay it, Martina on the other hand well............
  9. right back.
  10. probably fancies another easy season where he won't be shown up in the Champion's League.
  11. I don't think that there are even 23 billion habitants on the planet actually. Unless of course ants and termites have gone all Islamic.
  12. Gave up watching, it's like Totton vs BAT in the Hampshire League except that all of the players have matching kits.
  13. Like they actually know anything. Our state of emergency is just a bit of a joke, Belfast in the 70s now that was how you do it. Hollande just wants to be popular all of the time so the Etat d'Urgence is just a lite version where nothing is prohibited and everything goes ahead as normal with a just few reservistes hanging around on street corners. For me this is just a nutjob with a truck and a handgun, a copycat terrorist wannabee.
  14. Well no, everybody knows that the Earth and all the rest of the Universe were created in a big bang 14 billion years ago. Religion is just a side issue really. Most of those currently followed are somewhere between 1000 and 3000 years old, a drop in the ocean of time compared to 14 billion years. I mean there are no dinosaurs in religion right, but we know that they existed.
  15. Well with the head man of the Interior Intelligence division saying only this last week that there's going to be a muslim/hard right flash point any day soon perhaps they are not wrong.
  16. Suggests to me that the other clubs interested in him are offering better terms. Perhaps he just doesn't want to play in England. No great loss really.
  17. not sure I'd want Benteke really, bit of a bust lately.
  18. But this summer's 18 million £ is last summer's 15 million £ to Alkmaar isn't it. 15 million doesn't sound anywhere near as much. It's what you pay for a bit part South American who may look totally lost in English football. For instance Depay, who I gather isn't universally acclaimed at Utd would probably have cost the Euro equivalent of 30 million £ this summer.
  19. Plasticine, although it's probably banned nowadays. I'm sure kids could eat it or sniff if....bannnedddddd
  20. You can't just quit at 62 if you don't have the required number of trimesters of contributions though. You need 42 years of paying through the nose before you can touch the state pactole which is based on how much you've paid in the private sector and 75% of you're final salary in the public sector. Oh and the civil service is in the main closed to all non-nationals. there are exceptions though few and far between.
  21. Well I was going to describe the Italian economy as a perpetual train wreck but perhaps I'd better not do that today.
  22. But is he any better than that Korean bloke they signed for more last year or the all yet to prove Njie, that is the question.
  23. Spurs land Janssen for 17 million. Is that a good deal Dutch people?
  24. Although i'm not all that au fait with the OGC Nice side from last season I can't think of a midfield "bruiser" in it. Not sure that it's something that Puel really employs.
  25. Aren't the EU commission going to duck out of actually sanctioning Spain and Portugal for budget deficit targets not met again today? Normally they should be both heavily fined but another slap on the wrist each seems to be more likely.
