Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Window Cleaner replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Like they actually know anything. Our state of emergency is just a bit of a joke, Belfast in the 70s now that was how you do it. Hollande just wants to be popular all of the time so the Etat d'Urgence is just a lite version where nothing is prohibited and everything goes ahead as normal with a just few reservistes hanging around on street corners. For me this is just a nutjob with a truck and a handgun, a copycat terrorist wannabee. -
Well no, everybody knows that the Earth and all the rest of the Universe were created in a big bang 14 billion years ago. Religion is just a side issue really. Most of those currently followed are somewhere between 1000 and 3000 years old, a drop in the ocean of time compared to 14 billion years. I mean there are no dinosaurs in religion right, but we know that they existed.

Well with the head man of the Interior Intelligence division saying only this last week that there's going to be a muslim/hard right flash point any day soon perhaps they are not wrong. -

Suggests to me that the other clubs interested in him are offering better terms. Perhaps he just doesn't want to play in England. No great loss really. -

But this summer's 18 million £ is last summer's 15 million £ to Alkmaar isn't it. 15 million doesn't sound anywhere near as much. It's what you pay for a bit part South American who may look totally lost in English football. For instance Depay, who I gather isn't universally acclaimed at Utd would probably have cost the Euro equivalent of 30 million £ this summer. -
Plasticine, although it's probably banned nowadays. I'm sure kids could eat it or sniff if....bannnedddddd
-
You can't just quit at 62 if you don't have the required number of trimesters of contributions though. You need 42 years of paying through the nose before you can touch the state pactole which is based on how much you've paid in the private sector and 75% of you're final salary in the public sector. Oh and the civil service is in the main closed to all non-nationals. there are exceptions though few and far between.

Well I was going to describe the Italian economy as a perpetual train wreck but perhaps I'd better not do that today.

Spurs land Janssen for 17 million. Is that a good deal Dutch people? -
Although i'm not all that au fait with the OGC Nice side from last season I can't think of a midfield "bruiser" in it. Not sure that it's something that Puel really employs.

Aren't the EU commission going to duck out of actually sanctioning Spain and Portugal for budget deficit targets not met again today? Normally they should be both heavily fined but another slap on the wrist each seems to be more likely.

Are you sure ? Perhaps for one season when Gueye was in the Juniors. Anyway he's not a player we should be considering...honestly. -
We haven't long to wait...no point getting exited about what may or may not happen in a couple of weeks.
-
After selling so many for more than double that!!
-
Well then we shall see won't we.

Wasn't good enough to be a PL regular anyway, might have been a squad player with something to offer a decent manager in a decent team. Never mind Marseille wanted him last summer as well so he's profited by a cut of a PL transfer fee and a year of PL salary. No doubt a bit more as well because Marseille can't pay him as much as Villa. they're in the crapper financially and the woman that owns them (inherited) wants to sell. No-one reputable falling over themself to buy them though. -
Still hopeful on that then ....

Maximum 2 year period, could be a week, could be 729 days, could be extended beyond that if there agreement to do so by all parties concerned. The E.U are going to try to screw a maximum out of the UK and the UK is going to try to screw a maximum out of the E.U; At the end of the day the E.U will probably cave in ...because that's what they do. Can you imagine Poland suddenly finding new work for their 2 million repatriated citizens..probably not. Having a low unemployment rate is a powerful weapon.

Must admit the rumour didn't seem to make much sense. Perhaps Everton are stirring it again. -

ah yes, forgot BP cut off applied to bowling as well as batting. Excellent day so far though with Warks having lost a wicket in the second over. -
Done a runner ? Perhaps persuaded by the Conservative "barons" that there's not much point in hanging about for another 2 months for an internal election that you have no chance of winning. Honestly there is no point in waiting until September( unless you're Brian Hyland of course) when the delay is obviously aggravating the situation, might as well get on with it.
